A man should grow a beard for one reason, that he likes it that way. How a man holds hisself up is how he be seen by others. The ones who don't see his true nature are the ones who have already gouged out their eyes with expectation. So grow a beard and see if you like what you see.

Some boys I see have beards, but they are trimmed to death, trimmed so hard that I see the boys true nature, I know he wears his beard like an accessory, paws over it in the morning. No, no, no. He growin his beard for other people, I see into his heart.

Will I see into your heart, Reuben Pucklehall? Grow the beard and know me biblically

No. I gotta agree with Emma Blesslestug, don't do shit to impress other people. That just makes you seem like a dweeb. If you think you look better with a beard, than let that be the motivation for growing one. There was a point in high school when I felt that growing a beard would impress woman, but I realized later on that I look a lot better with no facial hair.

Op, this guy's right about only growing a beard for yourself because you like it otherwise it's bullshit and people will be able to tell you don't want it. What he's wring about it taking care of it. If you prefer it long and shaggy leave it long and shaggy, it you prefer it trimmed and clean and pawed over, wear it like that. I trim mine and keep it clean because I want it trimmed and clean, and I like how it looks that way. you do you OP. fuck what other people want, bro.

I mean I know its preference and taste but damn some of those first shoes, aesthetically, should never have been produced.

Can we try getting an attractive scars thread going? Pic is some prostitute from Boardwalk Empire season 1. I think she is more than twice as pretty with that scar. Unfortunately she kills herself(after drinking a ton of laudanum if memory serves) shortly after looking at herself in the mirror. Perhaps people in the 1920s were much less creative in what they find beautiful, a luxury unique to the modern age..

Ah, a skin graft. Mine wasn't a graft at all. I was under the knife multiple times because skateboarding. It has the appearance of a graft because my scars just form weird. There's a name for it I can't recall, but basically, instead of "rolling" into itself and healing, it does the opposite and heals outwardly, so it puffs up and makes the scar look bigger than it normally would have otherwise. It looks really blended into the skin tone in that pic, but in reality it's a bit more pinkish. I also have two large scars on the opposing side of my forearm, neither as big as the one I posted.

My mom has faded white cut marks all over her forearms. I did not notice them until I was an adult and I have never asked her about them. There was a time when she had to put me and my siblings in foster care for 2 years while she had a nervous break down and I wonder if she was cutting herself during that time.

I remember that in foster care that was when my brother started wetting the bed. How we were so afraid that the caretaker would find out and as siblings we all conspired to hide it every time. When we were bad, the man flicked our ears with his fingers and that really stung. I remember how we trained ourselves to wake up early and wake brother up and check his bed every day. I miss my brother, he died of an overdose a few years ago. I am so drunk, where am I right now

I was going to put this in med but it seems more like a style thing
I wrecked my glasses on Thursday, I am having some new lenses put in my frames on Wednesday for $55 just because I need vision immediately but I am going to buy some new glasses online.
I've never had tinted glasses and I feel like I want some yellow tinted glass (50% yellow)
i can also get them mirrored, but i feel as though i'd look like a wanker with mirrored glasses on indoors
pic related, think a yellow tint would be less obnoxious
>>
Matilda Darthall - Mon, 29 Jun 2015 15:05:40 EST ID:mm0ofM06 No.60253 Ignore Report Quick Reply
Depends on the frame. My go-to for a different look while still socially acceptable is to do photochromic lenses with a flash mirror. When indoors, the lenses will be clear with a hint of mirror (functionally similar to a high reflective AR). Outside, the lenses will darken and will cause the mirror to be pronounced as it would be with a sunglass lens.

Yellow shooters are nice, but not compatible with all frames in terms of conventional aesthetic. Try a 30% brown gradient with gold residual color in your AR for something a little more normal.

But no matter what, if you're playing with mirrors, coatings, and tints, your shits gonna come out all fucked up buying online. I do this for a living, and whenever I do a job like this I have my lab run two sets of lenses, just because the variance is so huge from job to job.

Source: board-certified luxury optician specializing in unique lens fittings (engravings, tinting for neurological condition treatment, etc).

That was a very informative reply, I really appreciate it.
I can upload a photo of my face if you'd like, but for now I'll upload the specs I'm interested in.
I am not set on yellow, but I don't wanna lose much colour (blue won't be missed) so either amber or grey, maybe a brown.
I'm not set on a full tint either, I just feel like the photochromatic lenses might have issues transitioning since I want to do this on the cheap.
Since there is such variance do you think I'd be better off buying two pairs?
I'm thinking of buying from zennioptical fwiw

I'm not very good at picking out clothes and tend to wear the same things too much. I'm trying to change however. I saw this jacket in a shop the other day and tried it on. I thought I looked good in it but thought I needed some time to think about it because of the price tag ($150 AU).

The material btw is 50% wool 45% polyester 5% other. Winter is coming up and I'd like to buy a nice jacket to wear.

What are you guys opinions on it?

I used to have one similar to that. It was nice, not too warm, but the only downside is that you have to get the perfect length/fitting (a bit large preferably). On the waistside of mine was too small and I eventually gave it away.

I like them, they are not intrusive, they don't call attention to you. I find the current trend in frames to be bulky, square-y and distracting from facial features. They dominate instead of accentuate.
