I like cargo pants. Maybe that's not super hip, but I carry around a lot of shit and the extra pockets are nice, and save me from having to bring a bag just because I want to travel around town with a few extra things.
My only problem is that I don't like how baggy they are.
I found a picture of what I'm looking for but I haven't been able to find them.
Dark Camo is preferred, but I'll also accept standard straight green, and brown.

seriously, it doesn't make sense to me. How do I dress well without resorting to basic brands or clothing that makes me look like a tool. Right now all I wear are like dickies shorts, band shirts and converse with some high white socks. The truth is I'm pining for my days being a carefree little punk but really I'm 25 and I need to know how to dress well at least for the appropriate occasion (ie social settings involving the occasional converse with women). I'm fine with women, I know how to take care of my body, I'm even trying to get some waves to make my hair all nice. I think I've got everything down but how to dress good. So, what do I do?

it's a process of calibrating your eyes and vocabulary
you couldn't mimic an outfit in a photograph if you tried because you don't yet know how to mentally articulate the details of the clothing

look at lots of fashionable images, think thoughts about them
try to understand everything, don't exclude what you dislike

Get in shape.
Get a nice mature looking haircut/facial hair
Get some nice basic things like button up shirts. I like victorinox, I have a few nice charcoal/black basic colors etc...
Get some nice jeans, nothing fancy, levis are good, unless you are extremely skinny avoid skinny jeans
Get a decent pair of clean walking shoes, for going out at night
Smell good but don't over do it, don't over do anything. I prefer a minimalist but sophisticated style.
Most importantly, be yourself, try things on, be comfortable with what you look like.

^ are the type of clothes I where when going out, I also have lots of basic t-shirts and techno band t-shirts like autechre, aphex twin, tycho. I like to go hiking and wear vibrams, cargo shorts and some kind of shirt, I like clothes that are very practical for what your activity is. It's important to have sets of clothes for laying around the house, going out and the other sorts of activities you participate in.

> It's important to have sets of clothes

Pretty much it is this. Style is really subjective and say what I like you may find awful and vice versa, and it doesn't really matter as long as you own that shit. I think the unify factor between all well dressed guys is that they learnt that jeans and a t shirt has its place but isn't a 24/7 thing.

Despite me hardly ever exercising, my calves are very muscular. Like, they're as thick as my thighs. I'm not fat in any way at all, it must be some sort of genetic thing..

My point is that I have trouble finding pants that fit well above the knee (slim fit) that don't squeeze me below it (almost everything except boot-cut).

What ever happened to bell-bottoms?

Does anyone else hate how tapered pants fit and look?

Best shampoo for man with receding hairline and dandruff? by Whitey Puzzlenane - Fri, 06 Mar 2015 01:41:32 EST ID:aVvvWaHu No.59866 Ignore Report Reply Quick Reply

Hello I'm looking for a new shampoo.

I currently use Head and Shoulders because I get terrible dandruff without it, this shampoo seems to have mostly fixed that problem. I'm not sure that it is an entirely safe or healthy shampoo to be using, maybe there are better options that will be healthier for my scalp and hair and help promote thicker hair growth?

The H&S shampoo is a 2 in 1 conditioner and I try not to use it more than 3 times a week. I also need to style my hair with something, a little bit of old spice putty to give it some hold and more thickness. If I don't style it with something you can really see how bad my hairline is, but a little bit of clay and styling go a long way with my hair.

Does anyone have recommendations of an awesome shampoo/conditioner combo that's good for people that get a lot of dandruff? I'd also like to switch to a healthy styling product but I need it to have some decent hold and a matte finish, I've heard coconut oil is good but I haven't tried it yet.

I also just recently got a boar bristle brush and have been brushing my bead/hair daily with it. Should I be frequently brushing my hair with it to stimulate my scalp?
John Bloshwater - Mon, 09 Mar 2015 06:37:26 EST ID:ELTvtAlQ No.59873 Ignore Report Quick Reply

I buy the red cinnamon 'New' shampoo bar for my boyfriend and it does exactly what you're looking for, and makes you smell like cinnamon. They also make a bar specifically for problem dandruff 'soak and float' but it smells kinda weird.
You can pair them with any conditioner but they also make conditioner bars that contain more good oils for your scalp.

I buy Lush everything, cause they use all the good stuff and it makes you smell amazing.

Also: yes to coconut oil and scalp stimulation. Just don't overdo it with the coconut oil, it's extremely... oily. Rub it on your hands then through your hair.

I can't emphasise that enough. I used what I thought was a small amount and my hair ended up greasy as fuck. Luckily I didn't have to go anywhere that day but holy shit.

Thank you so much for suggesting these products! They have a store right next to where I work, I'm going to check it out. Looks like exactly what I'm looking for! I think I'll try out the new cinnamon shampoo and bar conditioner. Might grab the styling cream too for rare occasions.

In the past few days I have completely stopped using hair product, I washed my hair and put coconut oil in it for an hour. Been using a boar hair brush every day and my hair looks and feels great, feels so good to not rely on styling product.

A pair of old fashion Timberlands (like all of them really) for when it isn't ridiculous outside. I have to admit the sole is comfy, the waxed leather has kept the wet out and they look better the more knackered they get. Inherited them, but would not have bought them retail as they are only fair in terms of quality.

I have a pair of Sorels for when it does get ridiculous outside, as the city does not clean the sidewalks where I live and it isn't unusually to have ungodly amounts of snow/slush/salt covering them. Best buy ever, who cares if they are as big as moon boots, my feet are warm and dry.
