So I've been giving myself shitty stick n pokes recently, and I was wondering if you guys have any tips on how to prevent swelling while I'm actually doing them? Pic unrelated.

Tattoos are going to swell, not too much you can do about it besides taking some tylenol.

Also, stop giving yourself stick 'n pokes. Go to a real tattoo artist.

Haha i gave myself a stick and poke once.

I made my needle myself but you can buy pretty good stick and poke needles on amazon for like $5 which might help you out. Also probably just make sure that everything is sterile as it can be, was the area beforehand with soapy water too and make sure you shave it.

Also try not to have to go over and over the same area loads, obviously unavoidable if you're doing certain things but if you get better at doing it you might need to do less poking.

Also if it's a decent size bepanthen, or panthenol is a pretty good cream to put on afterwards.

Fucking liquid eyeliner by Wesley Dankinfock - Thu, 07 Aug 2014 12:02:19 EST ID:C3gETTi1 No.59091 Ignore Report Reply Quick Reply

Hi /st/

I have serious problems with make up. I bought a nice liquid eyeliner swearing to myself I would be able to use it, but after several experiences, and a bunch of tutorials, I still seem to be unable to do it.

The problem is: I can't follow any tutorial 'cause my eyelashes are naturally super long, full, and curved, so anything more complex than a simple line is impossible without getting my lashes completely caked and dirty. I can only do simple lines holding the corner of my eye, pulling (like a racist imitating an asian, ya know?) and keeping them closed during all the process. Using pencils are a bit easier, but doing the classic cat eye is still out of question.

Someone out there has the same problem? What can I do?

I've seen lots of tuts use tape to help shape the line around the eye

though honestly I don't see why getting liquid eyeliner on your lashes is a problem, I usually go over mine with black liquid eyeliner to cover the parts my mascara doesn't reach..?

good luck to you anyway wesley, liquid eyeliner is the devils creation (right beside false eyelash glue), but I'm sure you'll figure something out!

I dunno man, do you even really need eyeliner like that if your lashes are that nice? Wearing too much eyeliner on top will hide them. If I were you I'd just wear a little eyeliner, a bit of colour and a good mascara to highlight them. Thick eyelid liner is for people with weak eyelashes imo.

If you really wanted to still, you could have a professional do your makeup for you with what you want so you can see how it can be done on your face and get some advice.

love how this post is from 2014 and OP is definitely not around anymore
but I had this same problem and just started wearing black eye shadow instead of black eyeliner. its impossible to fuck up because it's not supposed to be a perfectly cut line anyway, super easy to blend as needed, and looks basically the same at the end of the day.

The Caesar by Sophie Sennerfare - Wed, 12 Jul 2017 03:14:19 EST ID:JZRB+ZYL No.61488 Ignore Report Reply Quick Reply

Am I woefully outdated with this style? It's the same haircut I've worn since... forever. Granted while I may get the same cut, I tend to wear it in different ways. I've always loved the style since it is practical, non-offensive, easy to maintain, simple to customize to suit your own taste, and literally a timeless fucking classic dating back thousands of years.

Yet I find people rarely wear it anymore and it is making me feel out of place and out of touch. No one comments on my hair, either positively or negatively. Tough that could be because a Caesar cut is so ingrained into people that they just see it as "hair" rather than an actual style.

Should I change it up? I look at a lot of modern men's hairstyles and they seem to feature curves and sweeps instead of sharper, framing angles. I have a rather angular and square face and wearing a more curved style really seems to clash and stand out (and not in a good way) And has led to people noticing it in a negative way.

Anyway, any help is appreciated. I gotta say, I'm still a fan of the old Caesar cut. Done properly it is honestly hard to beat in my opinion.

Cool thing about the Caesar is that it feels kinda natural. Like, if you shave your head, let it grow some, and don't fuck with it all, you'll probably have a Caesar cut after a month or so of growing. Simple as it gets and it works well for most.

I've had this haircut out of nothing but pure laziness for the past 5 years. I think it works OK for me and personally I have no interest in changing it up, I did enough stupid shit with my hair when I was a teenager.

Don't shave the sides of your head or swoop your hair up like an asshole, you'll look like an asshole, I promise. People can say Caesar cuts are weird and they may be right, but as has been mentioned, but honestly it's better than a lot of alternatives.

If you really wanna change it though, let it grow a bit and maybe just try parting it to one side or the other? Also, keep the back of it tidy. If you're gonna keep it about this short keep the back even shorter. Just trust me, it looks better.

how many is too many? wardrobe size by Cyril Buncocke - Tue, 20 Jan 2015 11:19:47 EST ID:U73K+tjn No.59756 Ignore Report Reply Quick Reply

i'm interested to have a discussion about what everyone considers a minimal amount of clothes or at what point does it become excessive? whether in the retail price or the quantity you own

i used to have a thing for clothes and trainers - ended up having too many (picture from years ago) and thought it was getting a little tastless and unnecessary... have really been trying to cut down and own about 9 pairs now (3 beaters, 3 everyday, 3 premium pairs) and just wear the same pair of jeans everyday and 1 other pair for "nice" occasions

clothing wise i've cut down massively, but considering selling all of my designer stuff - stone island jackets/shirts/jumpers for instance with 3 figure resale prices

my wardrobe would still be fine without it but a part of me likes having the items, even if i'm not nearly as absorbed in buying clothes or caring as much anymore - whats left are the finely curated, absolute "best of, personal favourite" stuff

no need to sell but sometimes i ask why i'm bothering with such expensive clothes, these items will last for life though, i've pretty much settled on a wardrobe that should last me the next 5 years because i gotta save money for other things now that i'm in university

i paid for a lot of these through selling on my used clothes, it's effectively cashing out an ongoing investment - i've been on ebay for several years just recycling my wardrobe and going on ebay shopping sprees with the money

Today I realized what my wardrobe is lacking. Long sleeved shirts!. It just skips from short sleeved shirts to hoodies and jackets. I need to strike that middle ground. Where do I get some cool-ass long sleeved shirts? Also, I have marks on my arms that I pick at when I get nervous. I think having them covered up would help me resist that urge and let them heal.

Get a different haircut, at it's current length the sides stick out and makes your head look bulbous. So either let your hair grow out or get your sides and back shortened. I wouldn't necessarily say you have a babyface, you have some decent jawline geometry. In fact your existing glasses just might work fine if you can get a better style going on with your hair.

Pic related, a short haircut that I think looks similar to your type of hair.

Your nose is relatively short and your chin is long, so you'll want to balance with a high-sitting bridge. You need something bolder at the top to compensate for your weak brow line and give you more masculine definition. Clubmaster styles like those by Matsuda, Lunor, Oliver Peoples, even the one from the new Gucci collection would look pretty good on you.

I tried to copy this design (pic related) , with the red and green stripes, apparently they are highly trendy status symbol in the US right now (this video led to this conclusion : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oDbOX_6l7Lg&).

I am not trying to scam anyone, the idea was to sell them to "alternative" people who could get behind the joke and I thought that I might find people like that on this site.
I wouldn't charge more than 15 Euros per Shirt ( about 17 Dollars) and that would even be a bit too much in my opinion but I guess you're right, people will pay whatever if they have the right incentive.

I ma excited about buying myself a tracksuit! I just don't know which brand to choose, there are lots of good brands (apparently) and I'm going to mostly wear it while riding a bike and hiking/running so it has to be comfy during a couple of hours sweating.
