Eyelid Twitching by Basil Hiddlesod - Thu, 31 May 2018 10:35:54 EST ID:PHPiMu5Q No.286593 Ignore Report Quick Reply

For the past couple weeks I've noticed a lot of eyelid twitching which hasn't gone away at all. I noticed that it gets worse when I take adderall even though I'm taking like 20mg a day (and have been for the past 4 years - most I would take is 25 and that's it)...I take 10mg spread out twice or sometimes 3 times a day (cut the last one in half)

Does anyone else experience this? and did it ever go away? I'm wondering what could be causing it...I know my BP is slightly elevated but that may because my diet is rubbish. Any ideas? Thanks.

It comes and goes but it's been really bad recently. Mine usually goes away with a short break but it still kind of lingers.

Probably excess norepinephrine, the same thing that causes jaw clenching. Dopamine is metabolized into NE, and adderall releases a lot of dopamine.

I’m prescribed adderall and only encountered this issue when I had too much coffee/caffeine.

exactly what stims cause

take a multivitamin and aim for 8+ hrs of sleep. fixes eyelid twitches and blown veins/vessels on my eye after a few days.

btw, if you're stressed (exam season, personal issues, etc) then this is a completely normal response

Way a real mindfuck of a story about dopaminergic toxicity resulting in Parkinson’s esque symptoms? Look up “the case of the frozen addicts.” Scary shit.

That was from a bad kitchen synthesis that led to literal neurotoxins being in the product. Not the drug's fault.

There is some correlation between Parkinson's and amphetamine use but it's not a big deal honestly. OP just learn to take drug holidays and give your brain a break.

Yeah, I understand that. But it speaks to the dangers of messing around with RCs and other poorly researched chemicals. All it takes is one weird adulterant and you're fucked for life.

Yeah, and the product wasn't even a stimulant, it was an opioid.

actually it was a toxin called MPTP, accidentally produced during the synthesis of Desmethylprodine, and opioid, so it was not the drug itself, but the impurities, just like desomorphine don't make your limbs rot off ,but krokodil will.

Not OP but I have an update.

>been getting really bad tremors from amphetamine use
>take a break
>it's been a week later and most of the tremoring is gone
>most of it is gone now

So fucking spooky. The symptoms really did seem like Parkinson's.

Awhile ago I was taking amphetamines and big-ass caffeine pills. Also I was still drinking coffee. My eyes twitched so much I looked fucking deranged.

caffeine is a very jittery substance if you take a lot, on par with ritalin. D-amph is pretty smooth though. But the other crap in adderall is kind of jittery too. the l-amph is it called?

If you hyperfocus on adderall is that bad, I notice that I get very bad twitches if my dose is just 5mg higher or I take it with monster.
