want to create a trailer or compilation with hitfilm by Lemming Probe - Thu, 13 Apr 2017 01:38:58 EST ID:MAhnZRBl No.120903 Ignore Report Quick Reply

I want to create a more or less professional trailer and compilation of my gaming and travel-footage.
>downloaded Hitfilm because everyone keeps gushing about it
>all tutorials seem to cover CGI, greenscreen and other bullshit
>simple beginner tutorials 5 hours long

Seriously:
Isn't there a simple step-by-step guide to create something similar to this
in one YT-video somewhere?!

You want to sit down at a video editing suite and use it without training? Good luck with that. Video editing is an employable skill and to make what you want from scratch would take hundreds or thousands of hours of experience. Even if you bought that package, using it would involve a lot of learning. Your alternative is to get someone or something to do the editing for you. Auto editing apps are bland but good enough for a lot of people.

Use Vegas 10. You don't need the industry standard for a fucking youtube video. Hitfilm too advanced.

It's not that hard, Nicholas.
>cut video
>apply shit graphics overlay
>cry yourself to bed.
It's just software, mang.

Every Hipster can "edit" a Video for free on his smartphone with a algorythm
but there is nothing like that for the PC?

Fuck you, software-companies!

Yeah... its "free" until you need some essential effects.

(Or a randomizer with an editing-algorythm.)

Since Tablets and smartphones CrApps and this sort of "Services" are spreading like a disease!

I don't have enough middle-fingers for all these business-boot-lickers with an IT-degree out there!

Blender has an extremely advanced Sequence Editor. Only caveat is that last time I used it which was a year ago so this might no longer be the case is that its designed to work efficiently in conjunction with Cycles (the 3D renderer) so if you're rendering a film and nothing else, it'll feel ungodly slow compared to a dedicated VSE like Adobe Premier.

Glitches were played out 10 years ago. As much as I do want to see your sick Battlefield montage, I hope you never make it.

most start-ups and other companies just buy preset templates and only fill in the blanks.
So yes: They are editing without any training.

>thinks glitch-effects in video-editing appears only in videogames.
Dude... you need to get off 420chan more.

>me working with Corel Ulead 8 for a very long time
>got an old PC but still could work without any performance-issues
>installed community-updates and made some stuff ranging from pretty average to fucking awesome years of work
>had to get a new PC and new OS at some point
>Ulead incompatible
>got a newer Version of Ulead, it worked slow like a drunken snail on dope
>Sony Vegas couldn't handle simple files like MP4, flv or avi
>Adobe Premiere worked even slower, clocked my GPU and CPU
>got Hitfilm Express for free, runs like a charm but has very limited After-Effects options and is convoluted like a freaking year work of quantum phsysics at time!

>HF doesn't even have the option or the community to share projects!

>Fuck-it.png

>trying Magix deluxe
>forces me to register my hardware (!) in demo-mode
>had to redownload this shit 3 times because it didn't connect to server (!)
>reading reviews that warn everyone this software will keep the DRM-bullshit even in full-version so you'll never can change your OS or hardware!

you think this is bad?

Try finding a comprehensive tutorial for After-effects-noobs without any stupid mouthbreather talking unrelated bullcrap
or pissheads so full of themselves that you won't understand anything!

Its...the..worst...experience..I've...ever...had!

So much for the wisdom of the internetz.
