How does everyone feel about this new Linux Phone crowd funding effort? Especially if securephone guy is still around, what do you think?

They're trying to separate the phone/radio stuff from the cpu stuff to be more secure. Also there's hardware killswitches for Bluetooth/cam/wifi/etc.

Sounds pretty ideal, but $600 to buy in... Plus it's crowdfunding, which you never know if it will deliver. Anyone know much about this company?

It's going to have to be a custom board in low volume, so the unit cost won't be competitive.

I would bet money that phones will ship with all the important stuff like kill switches. I would also bet money that the software will be lacking and the overall UX will be janky.
