I need some help /tech/. I've been fucking up my life recently, I'm addicted to pornography and the internet in general and I used to be able to manage it but it's gotten to the point where I'm fucking around online so much it's starting to interfere with the rest of my life. I'm in therapy to help curb some of my addictive behaviors, but therapy takes time and I still need to use a computer for school/work and I need ways to keep myself from getting tempted into going down a porn hole.
Can anyone recommend some good software or a browser addon that would block specific websites, preferably with use of a custom password? I figure the more blocks I have to jump over to get to my distractions the more a chance I have to not succumbing. This isn't a nofap thing or anything self righteous like that, I'm literally just bad at managing my indulgences. Can anyone help a terminally weak willed bro out?

There are DNS servers that block adult content sites from being resolved to view. Insert dns server adddy, blocking adult content. May block other sites like whatever, social media. Look into open dns. Dns crypt is kinda difficult but has dns resolvers/servers that can block adult content. Look around for dns servers and add to lines shown in picture.

you gotta ween yourself off.

blocking them is the equivalent to cold turkey quitting smoking

gradually add one of your favorite sites one at a time to your block list.

eventually all the ones that immediately pop to your mind are "mentally blocked"

try to forget what they look like too, next step is the digital equivalent to "wear a rubber band and snap it on your arm when tempted."

put songs you absolutely abhor in your porn folder, and you have to listen to some garbage when you have a weak will and broke down to go look.

eventually you rename the folder to "horrible songs"

Look up 'public dns servers.' Add to preferred and alternate dns servers that you are looking for. Some will block certain things. Advertising, popups, adult material.

An ISP can keep logs of peoples websites they visit. Use a public server, that claims to keep no logs is preferable. Even if one has nothing to hide, the data is being collected and sold.

Most routers has a time lock function
set it and have someone else set the password
