What mouse do you use and what mouse do you recommend? by BasilPerringmuck.js - Wed, 28 Mar 2018 17:34:26 EST ID:DvJrQAEE No.121715 Ignore Report Quick Reply

I've been using the Logitech G602 and Gigabyte M8000X for a long time now,
but they are not performing well, due to age now.

>been using the Logitech MX518 a very long time ago.
>got it for 50$
>great mouse, but after many years of service it broke
>greedy dickheads want me to pay 150 $ now!

What mouse should I get now?

A4Tech X710BK

It sounds like some retarded chinese company, they have a shitty website and everything and their products are on the cheap side, however after having tried many expensive, brand name gaming mouses, this is BY FAR the best bang for your buck. I had it for like ten years and it's been working great, it has 4 DPI settings, and is really durable with a good sensor. Back then it costed like $50, nowadays its like $25. It really is a great mouse. Not even kidding. It's very well built and can handle abuse surprisingly well, will work on most surfaces and is just great to use and game with, very reliable, ergonomic and just the right weight to it. I've found no downsides to this mouse over the last 8 years, and I've put 3000 hours into CSGO with it.

Like seriously guys. I love this mouse. It's unbelieveable that you can spend $250 on gay ass Razor gaming mouses and they won't have the build quality and reliabiltity of this shitty chinese mouse. It's just fucking great to use from the get go. It does everything you NEED in a mouse just right and has no retarded gayming properties like flashing lights or 9001 buttons or weights or anything. It's just the perfect mouse as it is, for gaming and design. It's a joke it costs like $25 on the internet. Best purchase ever tbh. I sound like a fuckign sales rep but i just love this mouse.

Rough luck with your old Logitech, but I still swear by that brand. I'm using a 12+ year old G5 right now because 2 other ones broke on me, this thing only has one side button but it's still going strong. I've got a wireless one that I can't remember the model # of that I use when out and about with my laptop that's also great. When I feel the need to upgrade I'll probably go with Logitech again because of my personal history with their products.

because wireless mice are the worst
but there isn't any!

Razer has nothing but build quality on their side.

But it's all about feel, not durability. Razer's whole shtick is that they win when you walk into a Best Buy and spend a couple minutes testing the merchandise against Logitech and Microsoft. Then later you buy the Razer mouse on Amazon.

But my 2014 Naga was failing, all I needed was a new cable. It's mechanically sound, but the cable is shit and wore out.
Also any time you open up a mouse you need to replace the feet.

I also have to bitch that the sensor aperture is too small to fit a Q-tip in and clean but I don't think that's a trend you'll escape with any particular brand.

The best mouse I own is a Logitech MX Anywhere. The left and right click switches got crushed in my bag over the years and started to malfunction but they legit cost $3 to replace. Works on glass (and other shitty surfaces), it's solid but light, works on a single battery or two.
The original is cheaper (and better) than the MX Anywhere 2, but the 2 is rechargeable and has bluetooth.

Here's the clincher: Logitech SetPoint is quality software. Razer Synapse is buggy, finnicky and retarded. I plugged in my mouse on another computer for a moment and it uploaded year old mouse profiles to my cloud account and fucked me.
The quality software and quick profile switching makes Logitech the better choice.

Props to the Corsair Scimitar though. That is a very well-built and very ugly keypad mouse.

But when it comes to being VERY ugly you can't exactly beat Logitech at this game: https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=9SIACB954S5862&cm_re=logitech_gaming_mouse-_-26-197-013-_-Product

OP, a lot of people who care about their mice repair them when they break. You can buy compatible cables and switches.

You paid too much for rebranded Chinese shit. That's all A4Tech sells.

>>121725
You can get it for less on ebay. It's probably real but it's only worth the money if you don't want anything else.

It would be 100% worth it if they were only selling nice ones. But if you check the reviews that's not exactly the case.

i only paid 5€ for mine but it wasn't worth it, also the left switch has started to become slack

That's every single mouse. You can spend 12 bucks on mouse feet every two years.

Nobody's giving you solid teflon feet anyway. They're all laminated onto plastic and paper tape. They'll wear through.

? My point was it's cheap chinese shit and still good
How is paying >50 bucks too much for a 3k dpi mouse that lasted almost ten years of gaming?
Lol you don't know shit man just hating on chinese shit for no reason. Like I thought A4Tech is already a chinese shitbrand, why'd it be rebranded? If it's rebranded that's not working too well for them cause I thought it was chinese shit, it is, but is a huge surprise in terms of quality and accuracy. 7 years of gaming with it proves this.

for the record i had all kinds of mice along those years but i always went back to the shitty chinese one, it just did everything right and nothing else. I thought it was really a great mouse. All "gaming mice" ive tried was just straight up weird with all the LEDs and shit or had 9001 unnecessary features for me.
This chinese shit has good ergonomy, an accurate sensor for what it is and single button dpi changing, which is useful when sniping. thats all i ever needed from a mouse.

hey op I had the same exact mouse you used the Logitech MX518 and had been using it for well over 7+ years. In fact it still works I have it in my closet, still got some wear and tear but works flawless. I upgraded since I just felt like getting a new mouse, and I still stuck with logitech for many years. I decided to get a Logitech G703 which is a wireless mouse. Spent about 100 dollars on it and It was very worth it. The option to switch wired to wireless is very convenient and the usb cord to connect it is very very sturdy and strong. Only thing I say is when it is wireless I feel much more freedom in FPS games and feels very great. Also there is a weight you can put in if you feel it feels too light. I tried it with and without for a few months and i prefer the weight inside. Also turning off the rgb settings would probably save you more power if you wireless it.

A 20 bucks logitech stock mouse is just fine for me, but my hands are already getting screwed from familial arthritis that starts early (mid 20's for about half my dad's family), of course I had to get this shit too. I had some very ergonomic expensive mouse and it just made it worse, really you should be able to ask to try it for 5-10 minutes with your hand to see if it's fine for you.

A 15 buck optic mouse I bought in 2003 died in 2011, I've been through 3 others since then, the shit is made to break more and more, nevermind if it's a super elite pro mouse, they're all the same it seems to me.

I use naga trinity from razer. I use 12 key side plate because i like many buttons. Still trying to setup conf soft on linux but managed to get couple to work by setting them up in windows. I bought this version with 3 difrent sideplates just cuz i have too much monwy, so nothing special reason for that. Maybe better to buy with solid if no need to change it.

I use a thumb trackball. It's not ideal for serious gaming, but for general use and just fucking around it's nice. I prefer it to a mouse because you can use it really casually because you don't really need a flat surface. I sit it on my lap or my couch or whatever and it works just as good.

Currently I'm using this elecom, which has a "precision" button on the right which slows down the movement while holding it. I use it sometimes in gimp for pixel-perfect stuff because it's the one thing a thumbball sucks at.

>Logitech wants 250.- for the MX518 now

Damn the A4Tech is a great mouse!
I love the weight, the surface and overall handling.
Seems very robust and I think it'll be a mouse that even survives a nuclear winter!
