We're recovering from a major server loss and are restoring backups as we gain access to them. Don't mind the odd time warp. Warn us in the future.

Just having a bit of fun here, shooting some B-grade shit. I'm thinking about novel ways to create an auto-loading bow. I'm trying to imagine some advanced medieval weaponry where firearms (for whatever reason) have not been considered, but mechanical technology is still very sophisticated.

The pic related is just a quick mock-up. There would probably be a magazine above/below with bolts loaded. A second magazine is loaded near the top of the bow. Inside this are many very compressed springs that are tightly loaded, waiting to unload energy into a level that draws the bow back after a bolt clears the shaft.

I'll take some creative liberties if I have to, but I'm trying to make this as feasible as possible. Would enjoy hearing any arguments against it, or improvements.
