I've never had a volcano or any table vaporizer, but if someone was going to use it to vape DMT I would hope there is a way to change out the "piece" or whatever it is the DMT is vaped in because it will eternally smell like DMT. DMT smells pretty fuckin bad when vaped/smoked.

dude, you can have liquid iron if you so please. it all depends on the solvent.
I'm aware things like toluine or dichloromethane (DCM) can carry the dmt molecule due to its polarity. the issue is making sure you get only the dmt and not an aeseotropic vapour of toluine or dcm when 'boiling' the mixture. now that wouldnt be fun. as far as im aware though (this is only a guess so dont hold me to it) you could use propelene glycol and dmt in a mixture if the molecule is the right polarity. the boiling point of dmt is 160C and the boiling point of PG is 188C so by the time you get PG vapor all the dmt will have boiled and be in the vapor.

You of course can. They are sold as
volcano valves
But I'm pretty sure you can torch away any residue looking at how they are built, and they are modular, you probably only need to exchange the insert / mesh.

Reclaiming hash oil by Charlotte Dopperstack - Sat, 23 Jul 2016 02:50:51 EST ID:nkQN6UVu No.2780 Ignore Report Reply Quick Reply

Can I reclaim anything from cotton balls soaked from hash oil, maybe make a QWISO extract? Or maybe soak in cooking oil? don't know what that does to cotton

In my desktop vape I use a tiny bit of hash oil on part of a cotton ball. Love it. 1g of hash oil can hold me for a month even with daily use and if I follow the below exactly, which took a lot of trial and error. But I feel like I could still get something out of the semi-used cotton.

my procedure (which I know only I care about, but fuck it):
I preheat the element and bowl at 260c, then insert the (100% natural, organic) cotton bed so it fills 1/4 to 1/2 the bowl, sprinkle a few slivers of hash onto the cotton and wait 5-10 minutes (ideally with a topper in place for the bowl, like pictured). Then you turn on the fan to high for a few seconds, and once the hash starts to bubble turn the fan down to low. When using a vape bag like pictured, you fill it at low speed for about half the bag. At half, turn off the fan and carefully rotate the cotton bed with a long thin item so the hash is exposed on the side or facing down (towards heating element, but only done if it's not runny at all). Set it back up, medium speed, then down to low until bag fills.

cigarette style vapes by Ebenezer Giggleville - Mon, 27 Jun 2016 22:51:27 EST ID:tVGjwlRB No.2699 Ignore Report Reply Quick Reply

what is your experience with cigarette style vapes?

i got a bunch of mark 10, vuse, and blu ecigs from a festival i went to and i find them way more convenient to use compared to a 'box' vape.

the one issue i have is that the cartridges are stupid fucking expensive and the charge basically lasts me a day, if that.

are there any 'cigarette style' vapes that you guys would recommend? is it even possible to get a vaporizer in a cigarette that doesn't preform terribly? i don't really care about blowing huge clouds or whatever, i just want a refillable cigarette sized vaporizer that will last me longer than a couple hours.

Well you could look into the ego one mini my man. It's not a 100% cig-alike device but it is pretty damn tiny, comes with a refillable tank, and a reliable battery which would last you around two days on moderate use.

The only problem may be the coil heads, which are meh in my opinion (not terrible though) and last for three days more or less.

Theres a reason no one uses them for more than a little while, then moves on to something better or back to smokes. Those things are generally unsatisfying, expensive, shitty tasting, and you cant refill or customize them. Youre better off looking for a smaller ego battery mod and tank, something simple and discreet, while still being many steps above the shitty gas station vapes.

Not OP but;

I've only seen a few cigalikes in my searches so far and even fewer good ones.
All I want is something light and portable to chill with, nicotine free for a few hours a day, that uses juice and not carts.
What about the eRoll-C?
I've heard it has some leakage problems?
But hell, an eRoll-C with the Mega size PCC sounds absolutely perfect.

Curious, but what do vapers use to prevent leaks?

When I started vaping, I used to use an Eon Smoke cigalike. Being fairly broke, and not wanting to make an investment I didn't want to stick with, but sick of spending assloads of money on carts, I got a refillable clearomizer.

I don't know if this helps, or if they still make these things (pretty much everything is 510 now), but that particular fitting was KR808d1. (You might have to google a bit, but for reference, the battery was male, and the cart female).

Honestly though you're probably better off just getting a pen style vape. It's not gonna be as small as a cigalike, but it's less bulky than a mod and gives better battery life then cigalikes.

I actually went ahead and bought the eRoll-C at a local vape shop for $55. after a few hiccups putting it together and filling it, which I can blame on my own inexperience with these things it's treating me well.
The cigs do last a legit 3-6 hours, the carrying case charges them fast and it's simple enough to just plug it in while I'm at the PC at home. The small tanks are hardly an issue, switching between them I haven't run out of the first fills. Keeping the e-juice at the desk where I charge the case, it's trivial to fill when I'm just chilling. The tank window lets me check on the level, but it does take a second for the juice to settle.

The only complaints I have are the LED, which can't be seen from the front, so you have to use a hand to see if the battery light is blinking. and how hot the atomizer tube gets hot after a few rapid puffs, only because it's right where you want to hold it. it's easy enough to work around and I'm getting used to the heat.
I might have to buy something to go over the nozzles of juice bottles, because the tank hole is kinda small.

I got a 0mg Root Beer flavour juice.

Currently vaping Twelve Monkeys Kanzi 12mg on a dual twisted .5 ohm coil in a Fishbone Glass RDA. It's fucking painful, I have no idea how people do this on a daily basis. Anything over 6mg on a subohm is just dangerous.

Also this Kanzi shit is full of sweeteners, both my coils and all my cotton is basically pitch black at this point.

OP here, vanillin has an occupational exposure limit and I can see why. I think my maltol/vanillin ecig juice was hurting my lungs. Occasionally while vaping the vanillin/maltol my lungs hurt after a big puff. Also, when I take a big whiff of maltol smell when I open my the box I keep my flavors in, it hurts. I would vape this vanillin/maltol stuff but maybe one day a week. Careful what you mix up boys. Vaping on some plain menthol I've mixed up and it dosen't hurt at all to vape.

Is there a FAQ or a general thread somewhere to help me choose which vape to get?

I smoke pot far too often, and I have shitty lungs, so it's time for some harm minimization. I have about $100-$200 to spend, and the main thing I need is something easy on the lungs that gives a good high.

Portability would be a plus, but is not necessary. Something that doesn't stink up the house would be nice, too.

>Curious about the sort of users that populate /vape/

Smoker before vaping - Yes
Smoke stats if applicable - 5 years (17-22) 40 roll ups a day at peak, 20-30 when I started vaping

How long have you vaped ? - 1 year and 2 weeks
How much do you vape ? - approx 10 - 15ml a day currently @ 2-3mg
What sort of flavours do you vape? - Berry fruits, sour candies and menthols. Not much else.

Thoughts on vaping - it's a good idea compared to smoking, but definitely prolongs the crutch of "needing" something to get through your day if you don't approach it with discipline. With that being said, I regret nothing compared to my smoking days.

Long term plan? - yes, tapering down and phasing out of my mornings first, then my day routine. Will keep for chilling / drinking - reckon I will miss it too much.

Three years of occasional smoking (mostly at parties, I go out a lot) followed by a few months of daily smoking, 7-14 roll-ups / day (might not seem like much, but I'm asthmatic)

Six months

About 15 ml / day, 4 mg on weekdays, on weekends if I'm out maybe 20-25

Currently the ones I go for the most are blueberry yoghurt, strawberry cheesecake and pear cookie. If it has bakery, cream and fruit/berry notes I'll probably like it. I also like custard, vanilla and caramel vapes. I diy so my tastes tend to vary.

How long have you vaped ? - About 2 years
How much do you vape ? - No idea. I'd say somewhere between 6 - 8mL a day
What sort of flavours do you vape? - Deserts mostly. Pastry/bakery and creamy flavors, usually including blueberry, raspberry, or apple.

Nice dense clouds, easy to fill, looks nice on my pegasus mod, holds a lot of liquid for its size, and you can change the tip.

Uwell crown - not expensive(including 3 coils), built like a tank, top or bottom filling, rebuildable base is rubbish, nickel coils are rubbish BUT the standard 0.5 and 0.25 coils are phenomenal providing you break them in properly (slowly). I get two weeks out of them using higher vg juice (including max v.g). Can chain vape max vg with no dry hits. Huge clouds and fantastic flavor

Hey guys I've been vaping for about 2 years now. Right now I run a Cool Fire IV battery, Atlantis tank. I moved from my hometown and have been using a new vape store. They don't make home blends so I buy the pricier VG/PG blends.

They only carry .3 coils so that's what I've bought for the last month & a half. More recently though my throat has been so fucking dry! Worse than when you smoke cigarettes for a week and go back to vaping. It's either phlegm-y as fuck or bone dry to the point it hurts. Do you think this is allergies to the new area, the different ohm coil (I normally used 1.0) or the juice?

going from 1.0 to .3 can be a big difference in coil impedance. it could potentially affect your throat. it wouldn't take a month and a half to affect your throat though. you'd notice it sooner. it's probably juice or allergies, hard to say.

Ive recently began my journey into coil building as well as diy e juice and while ive already gotten some help here and done quite a bit of googling i wanted to make a thread to get some of my last somewhat specific questions out of the way, and i also really value you guys's experience and knowledge and would like to learn a bit more first hand from you instead of from some generic and somewhat dated posts and videos scattered around the web. Thank you in advance for any help, and i hope this helps others besided me too.

Some background info i use a releaux rx200 with both a smok tfv4 and tfv4 mini, and so far for disposables have stuck to the q4 (quad coil).
This leads me to something i wanted to contribute even though its not quite diy but more of home remedy. Theres lots of good and bad reviews about these tanks out there and from my rsearch ive found solutions to a lot of the negative experiences and thought i might be able to share some of what i learned. First off when assembling always do the atomizer first to the base and then the chimney ( some recomend the chimney first due to its few threads but do the base it'll prevent leaks better) second replace the o ring on the chimney (its a flat one included in the plastic bag, with one of the rounded ones for the drip tip.) its a little thicker which yes takes away a little thread but since ive done this i have had zero issue with leaks or spitting. Third it seemed a coincidence many if the negative reports were new users and many of which were using unicorn milk (i thought this was strange because i was using sugar drizzle another of their products) and upon research found cuttwood uses a sugar flavor enhancer thats prone to carmelization which combined with the complexness of the tfv4 coils (sextuple and even the quads) in such a small space is certainly interesting when ppl complain of coils burning out quick. High vg users even highly experienced ones also reported this user as well as less experienced jsers using cuttwood and i feel like the complexity of coil builds and the thickness of higher vg and the easy carmelization is the culprit to people having absurdly short coil life. I too had this issue, and i stopped putting sugar drizzle t…

I really can't say about Mt Baker flavours as I haven't used them myself, but generally with diy liquids the ratio of flavouring to base is usually around 10-20 %. Some flavourings (eg FlavourArt) are more concentrated than others, if you use a lot of these you might end up with a recipe with 4% total flavouring.

You also have to factor in that the mod and atomiser you use affect how you perceive flavours; if you use high temperatures / watts on your mod you are going to perceive the flavours more strongly, so you donät have to use that much flavouring.

If I were you, I'd steer clear of Mt Baker. Most of the diy community stick to a few reputable vendors, which are The Flavourers (Perfumers) Apprentice, Capella, Flavor West, FlavourArt and Inawera. The Flavourers Apprentice (or TFA) has the largest selection of individual flavours (to my knowledge) and they're not super concentrated so they're easier to mix, so I would start there with building an inventory of flavours you like.

It might be a good idea for you to check out http://e-liquid-recipes.com/
You might want to browse through the various recipes that people have contributed (especially the ones that have been rated high), pick a few (preferably with only 3-5 ingredients) that seem appealing to you, order the necessary flavours and mix them.

>if you use a lot of these you might end up with a recipe with 4% total flavouring.

That's true, but only if you're speaking about a 30ml bottle of juice. It's always important to note that lol.

Also, it depends on your ratio of VG/PG. Higher VG juices may utilize slightly higher concentrations of flavorings as VG doesn't carry flavor as well which leads to muted flavors, whereas the opposite is true of PG heavy juices.

So you'll sometimes see PG heavy juices with 3.5% flavoring, and VG heavy juices with 4.5% flavoring. However, in a 50/50 mix @ 30ml, you're absolutely correct. 4% is probably dead average.

I myself make my own juices, and since I make 70/30 vg/pg juice, I tend to use a slightly higher concentration of flavorings resulting in like 4.5% flavoring total. Shit's pretty great.

Holy god I was high. Disregard fucking *everything I wrote there*. Everything I wrote was dead fucking wrong. I'm gonna ask a mod to delete that shit, and I'll write what I actually meant, and try to not confuse fucking ML with % because I'm stupid high and unable to decipher the two lol...

So yeah... Let's try this shit again...

>if you use a lot of these you might end up with a recipe with 4% total flavouring.

It depends on your ratio of VG/PG. Higher VG juices may utilize higher concentrations of flavorings as VG doesn't carry flavor as well which leads to muted flavors, whereas the opposite is true of PG heavy juices.

So you'll sometimes see PG heavy juices with flavoring percents as low as 4% (because while there is way less you can taste it much easier). But with VG heavy juices you may see flavoring percents as high as 20% (because VG doesn't carry flavor very well, so more flavoring is required to create the same flavorful taste). In a 50/50 mix however, I would suppose it would be somewhere between those two, as an average or median of the sort.

I myself make my own juices, and since I make 70/30 VG/PG juice, I tend to use a slightly higher concentration of flavorings resulting in like 15% flavoring total. Shit's pretty great.

Bought a cheap vape ages ago but now I am keen to get a real decent one. Can anyone point me in the direction to buy a quality vape? I would like to smoke both liquid and weed/oil through it. Cheers

http://vapingcheap.com/ should help you find a good deal.

You're not really going to find something that can do weed and liquid. The only portable vapes I've used that do a good job with weed are designed specifically for that purpose.

Oil will work fine though. You can either use something like ejmix to dilute it down and use it in a normal tank, or you can buy an atomizer specifically designed for hash. The dual quartz atomizers work great for oil and can be ordered from China dirt cheap.

Let us know how much you're thinking about spending and we'll be able to give you more specific recommendations. These days you can get a decent setup for as low as fifty dollars.

I put some weed in my Kangertech under the drip tip.
The weed sticks to the juice on the walls of the tube and doesn't fall into the coil so no burning.
I'm assuming the heat from the existing vapour is enough to gently vape the weed because it tasted like vaped weed and I'm a little high.
not recommended but an interesting development

get a box mod so you can swap the juice tank to a herbal addon

A better solution would be to go the long route and soak some bud in ejuice for a couple of months.

No, it's real. It works, it's out there and people have done it with varying amounts of success. If I pulled this from my ass, I can't imagine what fantastic discoveries must still be up there.
