Bong- Crappy Vape harm comparision by Jenny Sallylare - Fri, 13 May 2016 12:04:45 EST ID:hVyco87U No.2460 Ignore Report Reply Quick Reply

What is more dangerous to throat/lungs:
a usual bong or a crappy vaporizer?
Im worried that i've been using my shitty vaporizer in a wrong way for the year, part of my weed gets overheated most of the time and it leads to partial combustion. So if i understand correctly, with crappy vaporizer some chemicals are being released like monoxide carbon and benzene.
It must be lesser portion of them than with bong, where combustion happens in full scale. But bong has water and, theoretically, it filters some of these chemicals.
Right now i cant buy better vaporizer than mine. Should i get back to a bong for some time? How dangerous it was to using a crappy vaporizer and overhead weed for a year? Should i be worried about my health?

Hmm, i thought nobody would answer me. Thanks for your input. Can you take a guess why am i coughing on the next day or two after using this vape?

I've checked out insides of the device. It had some black marks upon the batteries. How melted plastic should look? Its not deformed or anything, its just a little black. I overheated it once, maybe its the results?

Now, when im not afraid of carbon monoxide, im worried about plastic melting. Sometimes i overheat my weed and it becomes black, is it enough temperature for plastic melting? How dangerous it is anyway?

Honestly if your weed is charring it's probably getting to at least 430 degrees F which is hot enough to be dangerous. You should prefer smoking for now, smoking with weed isn't actually that bad.

I highly suggest a launch box and finishing grinder (this part isn't optional imo, put normally ground up in it to get it to a powder, which is ideal for performance). I also suggest the bottle rocket so you can use glass bottles that you can recycle later, and you can get really big hits with this (desktop vape size, seriously). Altogether this is under $200, but I know this isn't readily available for everyone.

OP I highly suggest you use your bong, even a spoon pipe would be way better than that vape. Throw it out. (Recycle or keep the batteries!)

Got it, i'll get rid of it. Right now im on my way to buy a lunch box.
But its my 4th day of t-break and i still occasionally have mild cough (like 5-10 times a day or so). Do you think i might had some serious damage because of combusting weed with this vape? I'll go to doctor next week, but its a long process of checking up. Meanwhile i would like to try my new launch box and im worried.

I wouldn't worry about it, it just isn't any better than smoking if it's charring your bud.

I haven't read other replies or even the OP, but quickly coming by to drop a line about how shitty that vape is. I bought it thinking it would be at least decent, no it was the worst investment ever. Not like it was even expensive, but fuck it barely even worked. The batteries it comes with are a joke, they will give you 3 minutes of barely usable heat and the rest is absolute shit. The charger is a piece of shit too.

Don't get this.

Looking at getting a new vaporizer, what's everyone's pick at the moment?

I have owned and tried two other vaporizers before, a magic flight box knock off ('da kube') and a Volcano.

The magic flight box was not bad for a few uses but after a while i found the draws weren't big enough and I was barely getting high. Battery life became a problem too, I got tired of recharging them. I did enjoy the stealth aspect of it though and went for an upgrade to the Volcano. MFB was a good intro I think.

The Volcano purchase came about as money isn't really a big deal to me - I have a full time job that pays well and not many expensive hobbies. Weed became my biggest hobby, so I thought I may as well splash out and enjoy it. I was very impressed with it, and it lived up to its reviews. I do think it is probably overpriced for most people, and replacing the bags after a while was a hassle. It's also not the best for social situations with the crinkling of the bags, but I found it better for my occasional smoker friends who couldn't take bong hits. The adjustable dial was also great. Don't want to get too high? Set a lower temperature. And the opposite of course which was the norm. I should add I had the Classic model and not the digital display one.

Last time I was reading about vapes here I think it was the Airizer Solo or the Arizer Extreme Q that was favoured by most. I'm not too sure if I want a portable or a table vape. I would rather avoid bags this time around and go with a whip or glass stem. Not interested in using it for nicotine or concentrates

The thing about the MFLB is that it's okay as is, but only if you have a very fine grind and fresh batteries, and then it's harsh so you need water cooling too, and at the end of it you have a lackluster device that's $115 or a good one that's a mess to set up and takes special treatment of your weed for that plus $30 (water cooling) + $60 (PA in USA) + $30 (grinder) = $235.

Right now I'm debating whether or not I should continue this and get a PA (ultimately the cheaper and probably reasonable route) or get an E-Nano and enjoy a simpler setup (ultimately what I'll probably want anyway). I suppose if I do that I could give my MFLB and accessories away, but at the moment I don't want to spend that much.

My first vape was an MFLB. A friend from out of town brought one during a visit and I had to get one after that. I loved the MFLB and used it really often for about a year, then I put it away in it's box and didn't get it back out again. Went back to smoking after that.

Some time later a different friend let me try his original PAX for awhile. I was super impressed. I would totally buy another PAX if I found one for cheap.

Currently I've got the PAX 2. It's awesome. It's the perfect size for portability which is very important for me as I'm always on the go and want to be able to vape whenever the mood hits.

It has a great hit for a portable vape, so much better than the MFLB ever could be. The oven is the perfect size for me. One full oven and I'm at the exact point I want to be, although a lot of people want less than a full over and they make accessories to assist with that.

Cleaning is simple. I clean very often because I like the way it hits when it's super clean. Takes me 6 minutes to do a quick clean and I do that twice a week. Once a month I try to do a deep clean that takes about 15 minutes to get the unit looking completely spotless.

The device is so simple to use, it only has one button. Can show a friend how to use it with a real quick explanation and a quick demonstration of the draw technique.

If you are use to desktop vapes or really getting just a ton of vapor, the pax 2 might not be the best vape for you. I'd say it hits at about 50% of a lot of the desktop vapes I've tried.

Pax 2 is great, had one for almost a month and am pleased with the ease of use and ease of cleaning.

It does lack the huge clouds but the size kinda makes up for it, I like to take it to the woods.

First vape was the arizer v-tower (which I bought by mistake instead of the extreme-q) and it was pretty shitty. I've heard good things about the Extreme Q but the v-tower was terrible and almost turned me off vaping completely.

If money doesnt matter too much, splurge on a verdamper deluxe.

When it comes to inhaling weed, you just cant beat the style or taste of 100% glass filled with water.
Or if you dont like the style, just get the heating element or any other vape adapter plus a high quality bong.

Literally everything else is subpar if you already have a volcano.

I drunkenly bought a uwell dual coil, reuleaux rx200, and some other accessories and I have no idea how to use it and no intention of ever vaping the nicotine e juice I have.

Can I smoke cannabis out of this thing? If so, what? I assume flower is a no-go, can I smoke oil or maybe some kind of tincture? Or do I have to find cannabis e-juice somewhere to justify this purchase?

thanks in advance for any wisdom you can provide, /vape/

Getting kind of pissed that the people at my local vape shop keep pressuring me to "lower your nic brah!"

I mean I love the place, has a nice cyber feel, place is popular, always looks like they have a fog machine going, great flavors but they don't carry any decent juice in a higher mg than 6, even though their ads say 12, I asked for 18 the first time I went in and they acted like I just said I go seal clubbing with dead kitten clubs. So I ask for 12 because I SAW 12 advertised and they said "nah brah, we only have 6 and that's some extreme shit!". I mean I've been doing 18-24 on and off with 50/50 stuff, my only problem is that it's rougher, I'd love it if I could get some high VG stuff in 18, anyway I digress. Anyone else notice this? Like it's all about "clouds" and "flavor" and it's sort of taboo to even mention the stuff has nicotine. I enjoy the nicotine buzz. Nothing much wrong with that. I don't think

Also as an aside, been doing dokha on and off for a while and I love it, anyway to get that kind of buzz from vaping with out it burning like shit?

I don't think people should vape high nicotine content, whatsoever. Your mind and body adapt to the nic content of a vape quickly if you are just being introduced to it. I smoked 20/30 a day for a few years and started out on 6mg, now I vape 3mg and currently working on mixing down to about 1.5mg. I didn't have any issues adjusting.

18mg has no place in this world imo. It just really fucking doesn't help people's chances of reducing their addiction. If anything, it's just another stumbling block for progress. It's taken me a year to work down to 3mg and feel ready for less and less. Can't imagine what my timeline would be for it IF I had started at the recommended 18mg for someone of my level.

I really wish I could thank the vape store dude for that one, he really looked out for me there. I had no idea about vaping, it just looked like a better alternative, I was skeptical when he told me I should start low as possible and get used to it. But ultimately, I've benefited from his wisdom.

A lot of places have the high nic for the same cost as low nic, so I just buy the high nic, mix it with lower nic juice that I just have lying around. Eventually, I'll probably just get some PG and mix it that way.

That's probably why they're being dicks, they know they're losing money when you buy high nic juice.

Kind of depends I think. For years I used pen-style ecigs and a high nicotine content was necessary for me. High like 24m/g. Now that I have a sub ohm setup that can actually vape properly high nicotine content isn't needed.

What's the best "News" Websites for Nicotine Vaporizers? by Ebenezer Crollerhall - Wed, 18 May 2016 14:08:38 EST ID:wjRHRjIj No.2483 Ignore Report Reply Quick Reply

How do you guys get your information on new releases? IFor nicotine vaporizers only, or if the website covers both weed vapes and nicotine vapes, it has a strong focus on nicotine vapes.

I'm looking for information on new technology breakthroughs, new hardware, up and coming developments from companies. That kind of thing.

I've been trying to look this up with search engines but I'm having a hard time finding a good website. Most of the results are for cannabis vapes. The other results are individual company websites, but I'm looking for a website that doesn't have a a (understandably, of course) vested interest in selling their own products.

On a tangetially related note, I'm looking for a news site like this to try and find a nice upgrade to the Innokin iSub G/Innokin Coolfire IV I've been using for the past half year. If you guys have any suggestions to that end, I'd really appreciate that, as well.

...yes, it should work with the right build, aiming for higher resistance with higher-gauge wire, and you probably won't get as much power from those boxes as you do with the hades. what's your build? also if it's actually the 30mm/28.5mm rda, it's gonna be bonkers top-heavy on either of those two ego-threaded boxes.

why can't you answer your own question here if you're handling a mech-dripper setup? lol are you the same guy who got called out on your 26650 mech setup back when vape shit was quarantined to /smoke/ ?

Gonna go to vape store and get my Sigelei 150W a new tank. Was thinking of turning this thing into a vape for wax. Whats the process on that? I don't know much and wouldn't know how to ask the employees (one is a decent friend where I'm going). Shit I'm reading says to get an RDA and then use ceramic coils and to apply the dab on there and hit it like I just dripped. Is this right?
>>
Alice Nonningfuck - Mon, 16 May 2016 12:50:50 EST ID:6kJKS1HH No.2473 Ignore Report Quick Reply
There's a lot of methods to dab with an e-cig. My preferred method at one time was to use a dual coil set-up in an RDA, nothing fancy, just 7 wraps of 24 gauge kanthal around a 3mm bit. Then I would wick with cotton like I was going to use it for e-juice, and drip 0mg e-liquid, get it good and soaked, then vape on it until it starts to dry the wick again. At this point, you're ready for your concentrate, just apply it to the coils, I usually take a standard sized dab, and split it between coils (or you could just run a single coil set-up). And then lightly tap the fire button, and melt it in gently, till its barely smoking (try not to let it smoke, ya don't wanna waste it). Then put the top cap back on, and hit it. You'll get more reclaim with this than other methods, like it condenses on the inside of the top cap, and the bottom of the juice well... Now, there's much better methods out there these days, like using ceramic wick, and there's ways of using stainless steel mesh as wick for the coil. My current method is a stovetop coil made from 22 or 24 gauge kanthal, with a metal pipe screen wrapped tightly around it, so it doesn't short with the deck of the RDA, and I run it on super low wattage (like 30-40, you could go even lower). I use it on a Hannya postless RDA, and it works great, it's basically an e-nail. I just take off the top cap, make sure the coil is cool, then smear it with dabs, pop on the topcap, and toke away! Usuall 1-2 good hits is what I can get from that. If you use my first method with the cotton wick, you can get 3-4 hits, if you put more e-liquid on top after the first couple hits. There's tons of guides and youtube videos. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qetJiugIzOU

And here's another link or two. This is a similar method to mine. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Aji2ZrbrZPs
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hdCUxQjymxc

If you can afford it, this is one of, if not the best cartomizers on the market today. It can hold a gram of concentrate, and you don't need to change the coils.
https://www.w9tech.com/cartridges/hercules-oil-cartridge/

There's also the option of making an e-liquid with some concentrate dissolved in it, so you just…

I have a suggestion, I won a Innokin iSub V in a giveaway recently, and it's the best damn tank I've ever used, no leaking whatsoever, and it uses all of Innokins iSub coils, which there's tons of choices, all temp control metals, standard coils, and claptons. It has a top fill, which has only leaked once, because I over filled it by a touch. The top fill system has a spring loaded chimney, which closes off the juice flow holes when you take the top off, then the holes open back when you put the top back on. And it's less messy to swap coils on this too. Just check out a Youtube video on it. As for it fitting, I believe it's 22 mm, it's small for a tank, only holds 3 ml. I have a Fuchai, and am using the SS coils on wattage mode, I keep it on about 35 Watts, the flavor and draw are phenomenal on this tank. I just have yet to get some titanium coils for it.....

So I've had an eleaf 50w battery setup for a while now. I've been curious because it can go up to 50 watts, obviously. But why? I've never gone above 3.7v/8.7w

From my understanding the higher you jack up the power the quicker its going to torch your coils, cotton, and juice. Especially if you decrease the resistance of the coil?

Can somebody explain to me why you'd want 200 watts for a 0.2ohm coil? That seems completely ass backwards.

200w is great to use when you have an actual mod that can use any sub-ohm tanks, hash head, ect.
No one vaping a Snow Wolf of anything like that is going to turn itup to 200w to smoke a regular vaping head, but rather to have the option to attach different heads.

I bought the Joyetech Cubis and I really liked the 0.5 Ohm coil because it was easy to hit and produced nice clouds.

On the opposite the 1 and 1.5 Ohm coils feel as if the air flow was blocked by something. Not a lot of smoke and very little taste.
I wanted to know if anyone experiences the same problem and if I could just open the coil, take out the tiny metal plate and hope it will be easier to hit?

The higher-resistance coils are meant for mouth-to-lung hits, in contrast to direct lung hits with the sub-ohm coils. The airflow through the higher-resistance coil is tighter by design. The wattage for the higher resistance coils is meant to be run lower rather than higher as Eliza suggests above so be careful not to torch the cotton. In short, the different resistances in all those coils are intended to cater to different styles of vaping.

Yes I realized that, too. I will order .5 Ohm coils or less in future.

I suggest you look for the notchcoil version of those coils.

I went from a sub tank to a cubis. Cubis sucks, not enough air flow. I want cloudz yo. Picked up the geekvape avocado and I'm loving it, cubis is now backup

Same here until I got the notch coils. Using the theorem rdta at home and the cubis on the road, both with the notch coils. The toptank got parked for now, I'm done with that leaking bastard.
