So I've had an eleaf 50w battery setup for a while now. I've been curious because it can go up to 50 watts, obviously. But why? I've never gone above 3.7v/8.7w

From my understanding the higher you jack up the power the quicker its going to torch your coils, cotton, and juice. Especially if you decrease the resistance of the coil?

Can somebody explain to me why you'd want 200 watts for a 0.2ohm coil? That seems completely ass backwards.

200w is great to use when you have an actual mod that can use any sub-ohm tanks, hash head, ect.
No one vaping a Snow Wolf of anything like that is going to turn itup to 200w to smoke a regular vaping head, but rather to have the option to attach different heads.

I bought the Joyetech Cubis and I really liked the 0.5 Ohm coil because it was easy to hit and produced nice clouds.

On the opposite the 1 and 1.5 Ohm coils feel as if the air flow was blocked by something. Not a lot of smoke and very little taste.
I wanted to know if anyone experiences the same problem and if I could just open the coil, take out the tiny metal plate and hope it will be easier to hit?

The higher-resistance coils are meant for mouth-to-lung hits, in contrast to direct lung hits with the sub-ohm coils. The airflow through the higher-resistance coil is tighter by design. The wattage for the higher resistance coils is meant to be run lower rather than higher as Eliza suggests above so be careful not to torch the cotton. In short, the different resistances in all those coils are intended to cater to different styles of vaping.

Vaping Stigmas Outside the US by Wesley Grandham - Wed, 20 Apr 2016 16:20:39 EST ID:wjRHRjIj No.2348 Ignore Report Reply Quick Reply

I have to start off and say this might be blog post-y but I'll try my best to not let it be, and I'm sorry if it ends up being that way. Alright so...

Does anyone else feel uncomfortable vaping in public in countries/cities where vaping isn't well-known? I'm from the States, but I'm on an exchange program, studying at a city in The Netherlands. When I vape in public, people straight up STARE. I hate it. I have anxiety disorders, and it makes me feel terrible to be stared at by strangers.

In the States, when I was vaping in public places, only occasionally would I get stares from people. It was usually from older folks who (I guess?) had never seen someone vaporizing, and didn't know wtf you were doing. It was rare, though, and most often it would happen in smaller towns, where trends and outsider culture scenes were a few years behind the times. In moderately populated cities or in big cities, it's very very rare for anyone to look at you. Nobody cared, everyone had seen vaping before many many times, you were not a curiosity or a freak. You are just any other other person.

I would hazard a guess to say, in a town/city in the US of at least 60k people, if people are outside smoking, 1 in every 10 will be vaping. Pretty much all young people at the least will know what vaping is. They won't stare at you.

In the Netherlands, if 100 people are oustide smoking, 1 person will be vaporizing. I'd say less than that, even. Young people, old people, all people, stare when someone is vaping in public. People will just unashamedly stare. They'll turn their heads as they walk past. It's not like I'm vaping massive clouds, which would be attention seeking behavior. It would make sense to get stares then. I'm not doing that. I purposefully try to produce as little vapor as possible to keep a low profile. I take 1.5 second (or less) drags and hold it in. No joke, I've had people my age (early 20s), standing less than 20 meters from me, asking each other "WHAT is she doing?!" "what is that? "why is there so much smoke?" " and say "wow, look at her!" and then if one person knows what vaping is, they have a conversation …

Britfag here. I remember a few years ago it being awkward to vape in public, unless you used the cig lookalike ones. Now loads of people have them with big ass batteries in tanks. Decent local pubs let you smoke them indoors too. Public transport and near children is a big no no though of course, as with smoking.

Only thing that's fucked up is seeing all the kids smoking vapes, guess it's better than tobacco though. However they probably don't know what they're doing and end up smoking super high nicotine content shit and becoming super addicted to it.

A % of school kids have been forever stealing their parent's cigarettes or getting a jump in. From like 10/11 there were kids in school trying it out and by 16 there were daily smokers and a always a few known hiding places for a smoke break during school hours.

Ultimately would rather these susceptible kids, who would smoke regardless, vaped 18mg all day everyday.

Thing is I reckon they just switch to cigs anyways, the embedded rebellion/cool factor just isn't there with a vape.

Not having a go at you, just felt like adding to the subject. Looking back on my time in school, it was weird. I started smoking cigs at 17 to condition my lungs into smoking spliffs. Lmao @ that logic amirite...

Wash ur tank. Like every part dont just rinse out the middle, clean that whole thing out, then change coils n let em soak in the juice for a good half-hour or more. Also if ur using nichrome coils, or some titanium/nickel shit without a temperature control mod, well uhh dont, just stick with kanthal

Propylene Glycol is hygroscopic (attracts water) causes local dehydration of your mouth; it takes some days to weeks for the body to adjust having PG in such levels in it's system, but it will. Until then keep sippin on your water. What you want to research is how a "dry mouth" can affect your teeth, and yeah it does in a not good way.

After near 9 months of Vaping I have switched to brushing my teeth twice daily.
When I smoked cigs once a day was enough but vaping feels more fucked on my teeth than smoking ever did. Gum bleeding when flossing has come up a few times, never did in my life before. My teeth just feel weird, the dehydration and lack of saliva that comes from vaping lowers the natural teeth cleansing process.

Had to be draw back at some stage but I think morning and evening brushing and sipping water while vaping will counteract it

I thought vaping caused problems with teeth (but I was just drinking a lot of tea, no wonder britfags have terrible teeth).

I haven't noticed any problems really; dry mouth might be a thing. If you're /hooch/, it kind of compounds and you wake up with terrible cotton mouth, which is horrible for your teeth.

Cleaning is pretty easy so it's expected you do it often. Just soak a pipe cleaner with some iso, then rinse thoroughly. The more you do it the easier it'll be. I suggest doing it while your charge your device.

Some devices are easier to clean than others, and how badly a unit needs a cleaning varies greatly. For example, the launch box is very easy t

oops, sorry about that

*For example, the launch box is very easy to clean but it's expected that you do a small level of cleaning (just brushing out the trench with an included small brush) every time you load it. Other units, like the Pax 2, do better with regular cleanings but can go a long time without them.

It really depends on your unit OP but most require pretty regular cleaning. I clean my Pax every two or three weeks and my Launch Box (which is my daily driver) once every 3 months or so, because it doesn't really need to be cleaned ever (cleaning in this case is for aesthetics, keeping the trench from getting too dark). I suggest searching for stuff about cleaning on the Fuck Combustion threads.

Fun fact: it's not a portable but from what I've read the Volcano requires no cleaning at all, and users say they don't clean it for years and it works and looks like new!

I just stick to the Pure MMB-CHMINACA. Vaped straight of foil.

I constantly find myself waking up on the floor. It's like a heroin/weed hybrid. Gets one super /other/ed out. Keeping an ecig cartridge of hashoil around is good too, like real hashoil, to help offset any potential ill effects. Pure powder is easier for me to dose bevause I can actually SEE how much I', doing rather than trusting that a solution, or herb blend doesnt have any hot spots that might fucking KILL ME
