Just dropping in to let people know that the DNA40 chip is great, if you enjoy confirming that you have a new atty on it or not nearly every use.
probably a non issue if you use TC or simple coils that never change resistance. I'm using claptons and this feature makes me regret my purchase.

The Sigelei 150W with temp control is a solid device. It's my every day use box and I love it.
Otherwise a Snow Wolf 200W is another very good choice. It too has temperature control mode allowing you to run nickel and titanium coils as well as the standard kanthal or nichrome.

Sig 200W, which outclasses the 150W in every possible way, and is only a few bucks more. If you can't pick, or are lining up un-reg 26650s against regulated, you don't know enough or have enough experience to get unregulated.

I have had the Sigelei 150w tc for a month or two now and love it. If I were to buy a new mod now I might get the newer model (Fuchai 200w tc by sigelei) or maybe something like a Reuleaux RX200w (dna200 if I had the money, although the new chipset is probably pretty nice too and much cheaper). Either way, I can't complain about my Sig 150w tc, great mod, and I haven't pushed it past 65w or even tested the TC yet.

Are mech mods even considered decent? I was considering a 18650 stingray clone mech mod with a Smok TFV4 tank with sextuple coils, would this be a decent running setup? I just have no clue about mechanical ones, and was wondering what im getting into here.
Fucking Nickleman - Wed, 25 Nov 2015 19:06:54 EST ID:b1GKtjk9 No.1253 Ignore Report Quick Reply
I like mechs, all day, everyday. The TFV4 will probably work much better on a high-power box with adjustable wattage at least. With a RTA option on the TFV4, the tank might work nice on a mech. Be careful putting it on a mech with a hybrid connection, and check for a squishy or flat 510 connection on the tank. If the Stingray is running with a top cap and not a hybrid disc then it should be no problem.

>I just have no clue about mechanical ones
This is usually an indication that one is not ready for mechs just yet. Most mechs have minimal safety features, compared to regulated devices, so a lot of the safety is up to us, the users.

vape safe and enjoy, however you do it

The really low subohm coils work very well on a mech mod. I use an Arctic with the .2 coils on a hells gate when my regulated run out of battery. But you have to know how to calculate out the wattage. Too high and its a crappy vape, too low and the batteries stress or coils will torch. .2 on a single or parallel set up will run at about 80W, which is fine for that coil and tank, but not, perhaps, for a subtank.

But I do agree, if you didn't know that already, you need some more experience and education. Mech's sing when they have an appropriate RDA and build. There is a reason they dominated the scene for well over a year, and continue to do so for the top end cloudiboius

A few people use mechs, and a small portion of those use them appropriately.

You'll save yourself a lot of money by just making your own when this shit goes down, or even if it doesn't. They'll ban premade juice but you'll always be able to buy pg/vg, nicotine and flavoring.

Would be interested if anyone has any suggestions on what to buy to make some by the way. Never done it myself.

i doubt anybody could order pure nicotine as a private person. and i think itd be a pretty bad idea anyways.

youd need at the least one nicotine stock solution, either in propanediole or in glycerol, depending on what youd rather vape.
youd also need pg and/or vg to dilute it to your desired concentration. or you could just order the nicotine solution at your desired concentration, but in my experience the latter is more expensive.
id recommend getting waterfree vg, since you can always add deionized water to your hearts content
a lot of online stores sell aromas, even at 1mL quantities, which normally would serve for 40mL to 100mL of juice, at a reasonable price.

with those matrials youd be free to experiment with the exact solvent composition and the aromas, untill you find the sweet spot

then youd need containers, pipettes or syringes and thats it.

Comment too long. Click here to view the full text.

i was referring to nicotines property of being a fucking poison, which leads me to presume that most countries have some kind of restriction on its sales, because a whole buch of people arent really used to working with hazardous material.

they recommend using 1-2,5 percent by volume.
personally i simply used 100µL for a batch of 10mL in total and i found even that to be too dominant.

and what seems so fucking implausible about that percentage anyways?
a fucking dried pod of vanilla only contains two percent of vanillin by weight and yet one pod is enough to make a lot of dairyy product taste like vanilla.

I need to quit smoking weed for a bit.
I feel in some ways I am "addicted" to the actual activity of smoking, more than being high itself. It's relaxing. It's ritualistic. I don't feel at ease going to bed unless I've settled down into bed and had a long smoke, to breathe and focus there.

So maybe a vaporizer with just flavors would pacify that for a while?

If so, what should I look into? I had mostly looked at cheap ~$20 pen sets on ebay, but they are probably trash. The main concerns would be battery life (or having a secondary battery) and price.

Hey guys,

pretty new to vaping and everything only had my shit for around a month now. Bought the evic-vt kit that came with the ego one mega tank to quit smoking.

It's pretty great, but the only problem is that the tank gets fucking stuck every few days, and it gets so bad that I can't fucking unscrew it no matter what I try. Twice already I've had to go down to a local vape store and get them to unscrew it for me. Living in dorms right now so I don't really have any equipment I can use to get it unscrewed. I'm probably going to buy a wrench or pliers over the weekend to keep around in case it gets stuck again, but what should I do for now?

I can screw and unscrew it from the actual box easily, it's just that separating that metal and colored part is impossible.

id recommend getting a screwdriver -or just about anything that is sturdy and small enough - to use as a lever. just carefully put it into one of the air slides and hold it in one hand firmly while carefully twisting the top with your other hand.
but pay attention to the direction youre twisting it in, if you go the wrong way the lever can put force unto the coil, potentially breaking it and the threading in which it sits.

i used to have the same problem, what really help me prevent that, was to leave the base in which the coil sits on the battery box unless you have to change coils. when you do have to change coils unscrew the top before unscrewing the base from the box

you also musnt screw the head unto the base too hard.
just enough that it gives you a firm resitance is enough to make it tight and stop the fuel from leaking. if you you use force the thread of the head becomes uneven and harder to unscrew until it ultimately never is tight again.
that rule applies to just about anything threaded, unless youre intending to use some teflon spray, which i do not recommend in vapes. theres a saying that when it comes to glass and threads "the wiser one gives in" but i might be mistranslating that

you might want to check the threads in both the base and the head for uneven segments.

To start off with I've never owned a vape before but I've saved up a bit to purchase one. I'm gonna order a iStick60w with a Mutation X V4 Clone but I have no idea if I really need an ohm meter(as the 60w has one built in). I don't want to subohm just yet I would rather wait until I can afford a DIY Ejuice starter kit b/c "authentic" juice is fucking expensive. Ok so should I start with a RDA & build my coils? (b/c its cheaper than those $20 packs of 5 coils & rda is only $20 as a opposed to $30-40 reg. tanks + the pack) I really want to buy all the things necessary upfront so i can vape w/o purchasing anything for awhile(aside from juice) All the things I'm gonna buy are: iStick,RDA Clone, Wire & Jap. Cotton ,1 samsung inr 18650 (2500mah hybrid) & juice. What i'm really trying to ask is will I need anything else(ohmmeter) or if anything is somehow incompatible? Also if i made a coil hooked it up then prime and all that w/o checking my ohms, would it really be so dangerous?(will the battery get fried?) Or is it just mechmods that blow you the fuck up? Completely lost here bear with me :L All in all everythings about $120 CAD ordering from 2 diff site b/c they only have the melo2 bundle w the 60w & i like my shit matching colors.

the most likely causes of spontaneous face combustion related to vapes are either attempts to use low resistances with a battery that doesnt supply enough current or a crappy battery. samsungs are pretty reliable

you could buy a multimeter to check resistance, current and voltage. that shouldnt cost an arm and a testicle. just to be extra confirm your calculations

making your own coils seems like a good idea. you could also recycle used prepacked coils, but that doesnt give you the liberty to adjust the resistance

So ive had my Velocity RDA clone for about a month now, and ive built over 10 coils for it already with over 5 types of wire. Now however, i find that after every 2-3 hits, the resistance would jump from say 0.11 ohms to like 0.18, and if i was vaping it at 55 watts then that jump would make it too harsh of a hit. Then after awhile it would drop back down to .10-.12 and then again around the .2 mark. WTF?

i have a dual parrellel with 24g G-plat and Nichrome 80, about 7 wraps around a 2.4mm installed atm.

Before this build i had a crazy build, one of my favorites, of a dual coil Staggered heating parrelell, made with 24g nichrome80 and a clapton made with 28g kanthal parrellel, and then 32gauge and .3 ribbon wrapped around that. That build was at a stable .09-.11 ohms for a week then started to jump around a fuckton so i built a simpler coil as above.

Tldr: Coil resistance jumping, Screws seem tight.

>one more note, my possitive post on the Velocity is abit loose, could that be it? and if so how to fix?

>my possitive post on the Velocity is abit loose, could that be it?

Yep, that's it. First thought was loose screw heads on the posts, the positive post being loose is it. Have you tried fixing it? Is it the screw that's loose or the actual post? I don't have a Velocity but from the pictures I see it looks like it's removable via the bottom? My Doge I can just unscrew the center pin and it comes out, and it has the insulators and then I can pop the positive post out. Check the insulators and make sure they're intact and not melted, that's not good to have center pin contact on the negative like that (hard short). Anyways... it looks like the positive post drops into a little slot and it doesn't spin, so... have you tried tightening the bottom center pin screw thing? Does that fix the looseness of it? Check to make sure you don't have stray bits of kanthal on the deck/in the posts that could be doing that.

Make sure your screws are tightened
Check for hotspots on your coils
Tap your leads lightly before you fire a new coil, make sure they're stable
And definitely tighten the 510 pin at the base of your rda to ensure the center post isn't too loose.

It's normal to get a slight change in resistance when you fire because heat affects resistance but nothing more than maybe +/- 0.2 ohms.
