Like it helped to protect my horse (though don't put it on Shadowmere or it'll make it a regular horse) but that should have been something they already had in the game instead of making it DLC and it helped popularize that trend. I just remember seeing the negative reaction online to that and stuff but at least the rest Oblivion's DLC was pretty good for the most part.

Those older DBZ games never really captured teh feel of DBZ. Thos eclosest official title was tenkaiitchi for Wii. the movement was all over the place and the motion controls were pretty tight once you got the rythm down. Over all it was the kind of pace the DBZ shoudl be at.

However I can't fucking wait for esforces to fianlly come out it never will That shit seesm liek it's gunne rock so hard I may need to pick up a cocain habit to keep up.

Just finished this today. Some people had said it was short but I had about 30 hours in it, and it was great. It is a bit focused on narrative but the narrative really shines. I'm curious if anyone else has beaten it, and what ending you chose and why.

I chose to revive the Changing God's Daughter. And it wasn't for any of the stupid reasons the game lets you choose (that she's an innocent victim and blah blah blah).
As I played the game, a bunch of characters you run in to all have different views on the Changing God. Whether he was good, or bad, or selfish, or altruistic, or knowledgeable, or wise. After a while I started to realize he's just like the player character. He just wandered around, with a goal in mind sure, but never really knowing how his decisions would turn out. I made lots of decisions in the game that turned out way differently than I thought, sometimes for better or worse. I'm sure this is how the Changing God acted, Aligern in particular wants to know why the Changing God told him how to operate the artifact that encoded his entire village. He probably didn't even realize what the consequences would be when he told Aligern how to operate the thing. And so I think most of what the Changing God did was accidental, or luck, like a lot of the things that I did in the game.
However, there was one thing he wanted very desperately to do on purpose. And really there was only ever one thing. He wanted to save his daughter. And for the thousands of years of his life, for the abuse of ancient, sealed away powers, for the millions of lives destroyed or saved, he was unable to. Of all the things he had accomplished incidentally he was unable to achieve the one thing he wanted more than anything. He wanted it so badly that he was willing to sacrifice everything but still he was denied. That's why I chose to save the girl. So that the story wouldn't be just another random twist of fate. So that the love of that daughter, the love that caused so much suffering across so many shattered realities over thousands of years, could be fulfilled. So that one man who had lifted himself up to godhood and could bend reality to his will could have at least one thing o…

That's not true regarding the daughter. In several of the Changing God's memories he refers to "her" and how everything he's doing is for her. In particular one of his memories is when him and Salimeri are in love, and he uses the tides to crush the love she feels for him. He does this so he won't lose sight of his goal, the only goal he's ever had. He always wanted to bring back his daughter.

Whatever. Either way, the guy was so selfish that I didn't feel bad at all about shirking his daughter. The fact that he would expend so many lives just to do that, just to bring back someone he loved. I don't think he deserved to have her back after everything he did (and tried to do, which is effectively genocide). The needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few, or in this case, the one.

You know you never actually meet him, you just hear about him second-hand from other people. Did you play the game selfishly? I made all sorts of decisions with good intentions that ended up hurting someone or another. And a lot of the time I'd poke at a numenera and have something terrible happen just due to my insatiable curiousity.

Wtf? hes with you for most of the game. I know the specter is a secondhand consciousness of the changing god but they're essentially the same person. Also hardly anyone has anything good to say about him besides his own cult. I actually played selflessly and maintained a gold tide till the very end. I know this sounds narcissistic but I really feel I made the most benevolent choices I could the whole game, including the end. The people I helped seemed pretty satisfied tbh.

I keep my communication to a minimum in games like Overwatch except when im playing with my friends. I do talk to random people on FFXIV alot, every chance I get pretty much. I dont know, that game attracts a lot of chilled out people for some reason and even if a tank wipes the partyy till all our equipment breaks people never get vicious. I like the mentor/community system they have installed now. Veterans have always liked to help out new players but they actually get rewarded for it now besides the satisfaction of being a good samartian. That mmo tries its best to bring the community together and I like that a lot and kept me playing for a good while. If you dont have that sense of community you're better off playing a single player game.

It's generally accepted that the worst players are usually the ones who can't own up to and learn from their mistakes.

The guy who hit rank 1 on overwatch and documented it found that below about rank 20 you only got people who were awful beyond belief but blamed their position purely on bad team mate luck. But this is well known. If you can't see your own weaknesses you never improve and always remain shit.

OK, so, Paragon is definitely de-volving into DOTA in terms of community.

Here's what's up; so, I'm ranked in the top 20% of players, I do very well for myself now especially compared to when I started 3 weeks ago.
I can tell you from lots of experience that the overall strategy and meta of the game isn't concrete. Sometimes you're better off doing things that the game doesn't recommend, ESPECIALLY when building characters, because the game is essentially always wrong about what stats a character needs.

But see, that's a problem for the dogmatic players. Essentially, almost every game I play, I encounter at least 1 player who gets visibly upset when I don't follow the meta. Now, I don't care, I'm usually the MVP of my team by a significant margin, but these players who don't understand my advanced level of play autistically screech at me and send me hate-mail. It is so fucking annoying, especially because I can't respond in-game since I'm on a PS4 and not a computer.

I like to play Jungle, but my main, Crunch, doesn't get good at Jungling until I reach level 2 or 3, more so 3, so my strategy is always to help out aggressively pushing a lane until I'm level 3, and then I run and clear the jungles out, which usually just fill up by the time I hit level 3. I got reported and cussed at multiple times yesterday for doing this strategy, even though I won 4 out of 5 of the games I played.

This is why I always hated DOTA; average players lose their fucking minds when advanced players like myself don't play the game how it's recommended. And when I disagree with them and simply tell them I'm not interested in following their orders, especially since I rank above them, they flip out at me. It is so fucking pathetic and annoying.
Kefka - Wed, 08 Mar 2017 11:00:25 EST ID:mQ9cgA66 No.695873 Ignore Report Quick Reply
And I can totally attest to this whole 'worst players can't own up' thing. I've had a lot of instances where a player will be visibly doing the absolute worst on the team, like he'll have the most deaths or the least amount of kills or minion kills, and in general they're lower-level than everyone else on the team, and they fucking blame everyone except themselves. I can't stand it. They just type away about how everyone else is doing something wrong, while they're feeding the enemy team fucking EXP.

I played with a garbage player last night who cussed me out for 'not saving him when he saved me' in a situation where we were getting ganged up on. Like, I was running away from 3 enemy heroes, he jumps in, slows them, gets killed, and then cusses me out. It's like, nigga, you got yourself killed, don't act like a fuckin hero, I can escape well on my own.

The wifi incompatibility can be fixed by changing your router's security encryption from WPA2 to WPA2/WPA mixed mode, if possible. That said the PSP's Playstation Store was shut down last year anyway. Far as I can tell the only reason to connect a PSP to the Internet anymore is if you want to use a shitty mobile browser.

Anything that had WPA2 support patched in either had provisional support for it when it shipped or had a programmable radio. Nether of those is true for the PSP. The DS didn't support WPA at all and even on the DSi/3DS, DS games have to run in DS mode so you only get WEP. What I don't understand is why Sony and Nintendo both launched hardware revisions in 2009 that didn't fix this shit. How much money could they possibly have saved?

I'm getting really fucking mad at all of the people talking shit about gimmicks as if gimmicks are objectively bad things. So what if gimmicks usually have a slower reaction time and are less accurate than gamepads or keyboard+mouse? They aren't always supposed to make you a pro mlg gamer, they are supposed to be FUN, it is the fucking point, you fucking faggots. For fucking example: virtual reality devices don't make you better at games, but they are fucking fun. THEY ARE FUN.

Do you remember donkey kong jungle beat for the gamecube? It came with stupid bongos that only get in the way of the accuracy of your movements, and you play the game using the bongos instead of the gamecube controller; why? BECAUSE IT IS FUCKING FUN.

God, I wish I could punch people through the internet.

That goes without saying. if something is novel in the eyes of the developer then one is to assume then that they think the product will be just as novel to the player/consumer.

Truly bad games don't sell well. They just get lampooned on youtube for a couple weeks and fade into obscurity if even that.

I'm not entirely against the concept of gimmicks. Sometimes it adds to the experience. And I'd rather developers are trying new things. So yes, there will of course be some poorly done gimmicks that get kids punching holes into the walls in their attempt to mimic on screen sword fights, but there also will be cool things that come out of this.

Calling new ideas gimmicks is a way just yet another way on the internet for people to easily complain. And you know what? People complain now about anything and everything more than they enjoy things. Gimmicks? Sure why the fuck not, onward ho with them.

>Nintendo is a master of novelty
Yeah and with gimmicks and novelty it's really just a matter of taste and what you're looking to get out of the game. For me, a game is fun if it's challenging and rewarding There are a lot of other factors like mechanics, looks, etc. But the reason I quoted "Nintendo is a master of novelty" is about my point about gimmicks being a matter of taste. Some people like nintendo which is novelty heavy and gimmick heavy, I don't. I used to dig games like Mario Party, etc but now I'm more into vat and in depth RPG's. Nintendo isn't excatly known for that, and gimmicks in the kind of games that I'm into would just totally ruin the immersion, but a lttle bit of novelty thrown in occasionally (like an easter egg, funny interaction) is okay. I'm high and hope this made sense.

I miss how every single thing your teammates yelled in BF3 was about unwanted anal sex

I actually think BF4 is superior to 3. At least, it feels like a more complete package, like what 3 should have been. So much content, tons of settings for PC players, better servers... People will always get nostalgic about how great 2 and 2142 were, but they're dinosaurs by comparison. I just wish EA/DICE would have made a 2142 sequel instead of a WWI spinoff. That's what BF1 seems like, a short-lived novelty.

NO F-18

All jets in Battlefield 4 were aeronautic abortions compared to the glorious Azraellian grace of an F-18

F-18's were so great I just made the word "Azraellian" up to describe them

I was Top 0% Worldwide Scoped X-Bow user and Top 1% Worldwide F-18 pilot for PS3

they basically took my favorite parts of the game out in BF4

also for my third post in a row, BF4 ruined Gulf of Oman with the stupid fucking sandstorm, that place was a sniper's paradise and that's what made it great.

Nice to see love for BF3. It's my favorite BF game. BF4 was interesting because it ended up being a good game after about a year from release.

Close Quarters BF3 was my shit though. I've always wanted a BF game where it basically tries to be CoD. My most played maps on BF games have always been the less open ones with no or limited vehicles. I'm not saying I like CoD, because I sure as hell don't, but on those maps where BF tries to feel like CoD, it does it a thousand times better.

Could you write a list of all of the single-player games you have finished? Doesn't need 100% completion, just the "main story". What was the game that you had the toughest time to finish?

I don't disagree with what you're saying. I just know EA.

A really large amount not even sure how many. But I'm also old. I give up on games for a variety of reasons, if its buggy and broken or just impossibly difficult then I turn around and drop it. Sometimes if the lack of polish is strong that its hard to play.

Its not that I don't try and complete everything I play, but I also play a lot of games. I have full system catalogs for a lot of systems and emulation is one of the main ways I game. Then there's of course all those pc games pre 2007 that my toaster laptop will still run.

Probably my most hated ways of giving up on a game are because of a glitch or an area that's absurdly difficult. Like I can beat some really hard games but that dosen't mean I haven't met my match more than once. Its rare for me to give up on a game cause its janky or busted but this can happen for sure.

The idea of being able to beat every game you touch just doesn't always work out sometimes and I can accept that.
