So uh I know this from experience but do you know the reason you never see Zenyatta gay porn?

It's them poofy pants. They optimized his legs out of the model. They don't exist.
Nobody wants to make joke gay porn if you have to model robot legs to do it.

I'd rip models from Heroes of the Storm for other non-pornographic purposes but the Starcraft 2 art tools are so fucking old you can't get the version of 3DSmax they run on anymore. Like, not even on torrents.

I just staight up don't have fun on that game anymore. It's definitely a good game, just a bit too team oriented for me. Half the time I boot it up is because the graphics look so fucking cool and not because the moment to moment combat is actually fun. Again that's my problem, it's a good game and I see why people love it. Just ends up feeling too much like a moba to me with how important positioning and healing and team combo'ing is.

What killed it for me was the "balance" cycle. It felt like the matches came down to whoever had the best grasp of the most recent change. The gameplay never changed from the mid-to-close ranged skirmishes and all buffs and nerfs only served to swap out which heroes excelled in that situation, rather than making them excel in other areas that encouraged different tactics.

Also, the community was toxic as hell. Even the obsession with "meta" was enough to wear me thin. Hell, maybe it's just because I was stuck in the ELO hell of Gold-Platinum but the fact that so many people where adamant that there was only one way to play made me lose any interest in trying to grind up ranks.

Overwatch is shit if only for the fact it was a retarded ass cash grab by blizzard who saw their chance to jump on the format while it was still popular.

The fact they know how to make an actual complete game before releasing it doesn't negate the fact their money-whoring scum with nothing original whatsoever to bring to the table.

It's not just a cash grab. It's Blizzard's only modern game engine. They sunk a shitload of money into Titan and they made a different game out of some of their lore and tech from that project.
It is a bit of a cash grab but it's not the cynical kind of cash grab. It's more of an "Oh fuck we just cancelled a project we spent gorillions on, how can we salvage some of it?"

It's a nice game engine too. I wish they'd port World of Warcraft and Starcraft 2 over to it so they can look and run less like shit.

Yeah it was happening for way too long and they changed thing too drastically to the point where if you dont keep up with the updates you're at a disadvantage. Some of the changes were actually good and fixed some of the balancing issues, but i still think Jeff listened to the community a little too much. I mean, he explained in one of his videos that Yes Mercy is actually OP and we knew she was going to be OP with the last update but we kinda wanted to measure exactly how much and then tone her down a bit. That kind of balancing really takes its toll on players. Every time a new character or a new update comes out, you know one they're going to be OP and for people like me who really like to play with Pharah, it feels kinda shit cause i dont wana change to the OP character.

Like i knew the community was getting Toxic by the day. Its just so much easier to blame others or blame the game then to actually find faults in your gameplay and work on it. And since you're playing with strangers, it gets even more easier to be a dick. I actually stayed away from competitive until i convinced my friends to play together. I wanted to play Overwatch the way it was meant to be played, and man it did not disappoint. Playing with your friends is wayyy more fun, especially since you're always communicating with each other. And it really give you a huge advantage over strangers, no matter how good they are they cant beat us. If we get a half decent McCree, we keep aiming for him so he stays in the spawn area, and since no one ever bothers actually protecting him its an easy win for us. Trust me when i say this, this game was meant to be played with your friends, not with strangers. If you get the chance to give it another shot with a group of friends, do it.

Yes it is though. It's built to obfuscate how much you've spent on it and randomize what you need to spend to get a skin you want.

You can say you don't need skins, and sure. But it's still preying hard on a certain demographic.

It's not like world of warcraft. You aren't reliant on the drop.

But the issue is that while you get currency to buy skins in the process, you don't get a predictable amount, so there's absolutely no upper limit on what you might spend.

And that kind of system shouldn't be allowed on a fucking T for Teen, buy-to-play game. That's trash.

IFGAF about the rich whales paying thousands on video games but it preys on the mentally ill, and poverty psychologically makes people so bad at money. You have no idea.
It's not eugenics if the main reason you're horrible at money is because you never had any.

I was upper-middle-class in World of Warcraft though, and I made 1200 bucks on Bitcoin last year. So I'm pretty good at poverty.

My bank did a poll last month: take a guaranteed $1000 or flip a coin for $5000. This is an objective value proposition and it's fucking easy. Two thirds of the people polled got it wrong. Which says to me they don't even fucking have $1000 in the bank.

And this is why they're getting fucking fleeced by the rich in this country. It's pathetic.

Its not objective. The expected return on the coin flip is $2500 but that does not include the value of risk aversion. There's people who'd take a $1500 coin flip over $1000 guaranteed. This poll measures risk aversion and what people will essentially pay for security. There's also individual situations where just having that money will do the job or where despite your risk aversion $1000 won't make a difference. Those are probably edge cases though.

Poverty doesn't just make people bad at money, it often locks them into more expensive options because they can't afford the up front of better ones. They are raised by people with poor financial management and learn those habits or just develope the expectation of always being poor and so conform to that. It also means people get fewer opportunities, they get worse food and worse housing and go to work schools and again develop an expectation of failure so they don't try. They never go for better paying jobs and they frequently piss their money away on the wrong shit. Its a cycle an individual can work loose of but it isn't easy.

Activision Blizzard have been world leaders in skinner boxes and flavour of the month balancing for over a decade though, if it aint broke, don't fix it.

This is very true. I was raised by just my mom, shes disabled but has always had money problems. I wouldn't say I grew up in poverty, but we wouldn't have had our electricity turned off so often, or have to go to food banks if my mom were more fiscally responsible. I only realised this after started working and saving up for a house. She basically wastes most her money on cigarettes, candy, and weed. Always has, im not trying to sound unappreciative of her, but most poor people stay poor because they spend their money on stuff they want, not what they need.

It's a false sense of risk in anticipation of a false sense of loss. The wealthy person knows they will eat and have their bills paid regardless. They always take the coin flip, and when they lose they have no regret, because they know they took the better opportunity.

Meanwhile, when a poor dude at a gas station plays the lottery, wins 50 bucks, and because that felt good he spend the 50 bucks on more scratch tickets. Because he utterly fails to abstract the outcome from the inherent value of the gamble. Then without the approximation of that value propsition taking precedent, he becomes addicted to the wager.

And in the case of loot boxes the value is unknowable. When china passed loot box odds disclosure laws, Blizzard sidestepped it by selling a fixed amount of currency along with every loot box.
That's all I'm asking for.

Investment managers make a killing on bypassingpeople's false sense of risk, and by pooling funds into portfolios so diverse that they effectively cannot lose. That THEY cannot lose, the margin they take soaks up the majority of any profits in the process.

The house always wins, boys. Build yourself a fucking house.

I don't like loot boxes in general, although the concept is extremely similar to Pokemon cards and I love those. I just don't understand buying loot boxes, especially if there's a way to get them just by playing. I guess let me use an example. I bought my nephew a ps4 and a couple games (Fortnite being one of them). I usually give him odd jobs about once a week and throw him 50 bucks. He immediately goes home and spends all of it on loot boxes for fortnite. I mean its his money, he can do whatever he wants with it. I just don't understand why he would spend on loot boxes instead of other games or something. When I was that age(hes 13) if I got some money I would go to like gamestop and try to get good games that have gone down in price. I just don't understand spending that much money on loot boxes, its not like theyre expansions, just cosmetic shit.

You can trade pokemon cards.

Also your nephew is pushing that button like a rat. This is why we loved trading cards too, but as I said you could trade them and you often needed multiple of the same card. You can buy a pre made deck or individual cards directly. In blizzard's boxes if you get duplicates you build currency up. If you spam boxes hard enough you can get what you want. It's all a bit shady to be honest though.

Your nephew is a rat pushing the button.
