I'm going to be moving out at the end of this year! I love my current vehicle but looking at it objectively it's gotta go. 200,000+ miles and could shit itself at any time.

I'm not exactly sure what I want, but I am pretty sure I want a compact hatch of some kind.

>Would like some ground clearance because I am used to a truck (but I realize that might be asking too much from a compact)
>No more then 5 years old (2012 or newer)
>$10,000(or $15,000 a little more if I am buying new)
>No KIA/Hyundai/GM
>No Prius (I like them, but I have enough trouble fitting in as it is.)

Or do you think my chances of finding a 5 year old Frontier for $10,000~ are less then 0%?

Don't worry the auto industry is heading for serious trouble again. When the loans default on all these 60k dollar trucks set 5 foot of the ground and the gas sucking wannabe SUV craze dies, small cars will be flying out the door at dealerships. Once gas gets back to 4 dollars a gallon, you'll be able to buy some gay monster truck for your 2" penis for pennies on the dollar.

So i made a thread on /b/ about this you may have saw. And talked about it here.
Short into
>Im sick of my life here, im sick of the cycle of work and bills that never ends.
>Im losing my current residence regardless at the end of the month
>I can either stay here and keep doing what i do, being more stable but unfilled
>Its my dream to travel the world. I'll do it by foot if necessary/ possible

After thinking about it and talking to alot of people about it I decided to attempt to back back across at least as far as I can make it in europe.

I have some money saved up. Im using that to gear up and renew my pass ports and stuff and to buy my plane ticket. Still in a planning mode.

I'm 27 and have no idea what to do with my life. But I've known for ever i want to travel.
I got the opportunity to spend 6 months in europe in 2011.
My sister's husband is in the military so i got a super cheap plane ticket around $600 round trip. And stayed with her in Germany for a few weeks. Then we drove around eastern europe and bummed about for a bit with my family (mother, sister and brother in law) and and stayed in hostels. I then wanted to stay longer in the greece than they did so i stayed and met them back in DE latter. I went home with my mom after that back to FL.

Who on /vroom/ rides? I ride a 2015 Kawasaki Ninja 300 and am in love with the fun and the great gas mileage. If I put forth effort I can get 70 mpg on the machine. I've been riding since November 2015.

When 80 percent of the time I am the only person in my car it doesn't make sense to me to have all that extra room if all I'm transporting is myself.

Sup /vrooom/?

I want to buy a van but don't know much about them or the makes and models.

>6 cylinder preferred.
>Manual preferred as well.
>Can be light-duty as it will only carry maybe 1k lbs of cargo at the most.
>Isn't new and can be had for under 5k.
>Comes in a barebones model with maybe heat and air at the most.
>Is easy to fix when it inevitably breaks.

I'm willing to go with a mini-van but I don't know if you can remove the seats from them. I only need the drivers seat really. I'd kinda like an Econoline 150 if I could get it with one of the inline sixes. But I've also seen Odysseys and Quests pretty cheap too.

get one of those chevy or ford commercial vans, you should be able to get them cheap. v8 in some of them as well i dont know if any have a v6. domestics are a little bit cheaper to fix.

some of those old vans even have all wheel drive but I dont know if those models are reliable.

Depending on how large of a van you need, you might want to look into a Transit Connect. They're solid light-duty vans. Also, why the fuck would you want a manual in a work vehicle?

Any ideas on cheap hotels, things to do, etc.

Dear 420chan,

So I'm graduating from an MA program in DC in May and my parents are coming to town for four days. We used to live in Montgomery County, MD back in the early 2000s before they moved away (and they worked in DC) so they've seen everything in those areas. What are some cool places outside of DC (other than Luray Caverns, Dulles annex for Air/Space, Baltimore Aquarium, Bull Runs Battlefiend) that I can drag them too? Never been to Antietam. I have a car so anything within a 100mi radius is doable.

Best regards,

Special Mongoose

Virginia Beach for Summer stuff

Manassass and Alexandria are shit stay away from those areas

Go south

The Cascades man. Go swim in a waterfall after a long pretty hike

Or drive the Blue Ridge Pkwy

So got a Ranger '02 4.0L, 5 speed auto, 4.10 output, 4x4

Had it for a little while, and I'm happy enough with it. I don't do much heavy hauling, and very little highway. But I wouldn't mind a little more low end torque for the rare heavier load(several hundred+ lbs), and maybe even a little better highway performance for passing.
You could just say get a bigger truck, but that'd defeat the whole point of seeking out a smaller truck, which is that it's a big pain to park bigger trucks around here. If I lived in the sticks I'd get some big ol' 3500 Diesel, but I don't so not really a viable option. Nor do I do rigging for a living.

e-fan - Outside of very specific tunes, doesn't seem to be remotely worth it. Plus the stock fan is rather light weight and balanced.

aluminum rims - I wouldn't mind aluminum in the front, but I don't want to reduce the rear weight on such a light truck. There's already to little traction in the rear in certain conditions. Two that'd make rotation impossible. And third I'm not sure there'd be much benefit since 50% of the weight is below the drive line, so I wouldn't be loosing very much of the carried weight.

Airfilter - The main bottle neck I'm seeing is before the airfilter, the inlet hole is smaller than the throttle body hole. I'm thinking of adding a second inlet hole to reduce that bottle neck. While remembering to add splash guards and large debris filters. The only other issue would be the big ridges in the ductline don't facilitate a laminar flow pre-throttle body, but I can't image that would matter outside of an application where you're not doing a 1/4 mile.

Tuner chip - Not sure at what point you'd want one to tune. Like how far into mods do you got to be to justify one? Thinking of one for correcting the speedo, or maybe for setting up a towing mode.

Porting and matching - This seems easy enough to do. I've done enough precision hand work that it seems more than feasible. Main problem is getting the motivation to take everything off and out. Might price around, and see how much and how long it would take to get done.

In what kind of place can I find nice beaches and some night life in the same place?
I suspect there are places in southern Europe but I'd like to travel in March so it would be best with some more tropical place.
I am open to travelling anywhere but I just don't know where I'd find that.
A cheap place would be best and while this might seem like I'm asking for a lot, there are a lot of cheap countries around the world, there must be many places like what I'm looking for.

Im really biased towards the BMW's.

I was told by my mechanic (thats worked on porche/bimmer/merc) for over 30 years that the ///M only stands for "///More ///Money" and I would be better off getting a 5 series or a 7 series.

Thoughts?

Right now I have a 335i that kicks ass.

Bikers are clicky assholes. Iwas a "hang around" or a friend of the club. I sold weed to a friend who happened to be in the Outlaws. Nice guy, but rough as shit. I went out drinking with some of the other bikers a few times but when asked if I wanted to join as a prospect I said fuck no, after watching how shit they treat there prospects.

Then the day I was threatened at knife point waving this big ass bowie knife for selling weed on their turf without paying their "tax". After the same buddy bought a bag from me at there club house. Even after paying they still stronger armed me pressing the same blade into my throat forcing me to give up all my cash as a form of donation to the club for being stupid. But it didnt end there, they still best the shit out of me begore throwing me out the door. I have never gone back nor do I sell to any bikers anymore.
