ITT: worst weed related purchases I'll start: this motherfucker right here. Bought this because I trusted the hype I saw on circlejerk. Big mistake, only got a decent high like 4 times with this little shit. I grind my weed to powder-like texture but still can't get blazed. Never once I felt close to a 9 even after 4 trenches. Most of the time I get some half baked sense of lazyness and anxiety. That's it. I've done all the bullshit techniques but nothing worked. Really disappointed.
>>4910647Yeh the high from vaping is quite week even on its hottest setting.
i bought that shit. only good thing about it was the hash that built up on the sides. could scrape that shit off and use the heat to just burn it, and then you'd get a decent high. glorified fucking hash making device
Yeah, that's by far the worst vaporizer I have ever tried. I have no idea how they're not out of business yet. I guess people buy them when they're new to weed and haven't tried any other vapes and then think they're not horrible. I bought one of these (grasshopper vape) and it was fucking amazing--for a little while anyway. I could get insane hits from it and it heated up in seconds. I preordered it and it took 11 months to arrive, but then it broke after like a month of heavy use. I kept reading that people were sending them back and they'd get fixed and then they would break again so I decided to wait until they ironed out the kinks because I have other vapes but people kept saying they would break again so I never sent it in and ended up forgetting about it until recently when I went to my spam tab and opened one of their emails and found out they're now at 120 days for warranty requests because they dropped their original parts supplier to go in-house and deal with the quality control issues. I kind of expect them to go out of business at this point before I ever get it fixed. It's a damn shame because it was the best vape I've ever used while it was working.
>>4910667meh solo 2 ftw
>>4910647Your technique sucks then. But to be honest the tech has moved on so much that technique shouldnt be a prerequisite to vaping weed.I loved my box. It got me 10/10 most of the time. Once the batteries start to lose their charge i switched to the power adapter and it was a gamechanger. Constant reliable vapour forming but the adapter broke after 6 months now and their new warranties are garbage.I upgraded to the arizer argo, its almost perfect but i think ill buy the fury 2 as well
wasn't their a new one that worked without power?
>>4910647My buddy had one of those and I remember the same exact thing, despite the fact he thought it was the tits. I had one of those magic vapes which could easily take you to a 10 on a single bowl. I guess it would burn the bud if you went to fast which is ironically better than that little wooden pos which would run out of battery after a trench or too. >>4910674I could see that, but of course we didn't have that adapter, nor should you have to plug it in, in order to get a couple good hits. Its portable after all.
>>4910674Should have bought this Fury 2. I looked it up and I think it looks nice. Wish I had bought it instead of the MFLB, almost the same price.
Can anyone recommend me a good glass pipe?
>>4910802Make a pipe out of pubes. Make a pipe out of braided pubes.
I bought 2 glass bongs. One for £35, one for £70. My careless dipshit friend knocked the expensive one over and the cheaper one developed a big crack so I binned it.I also paid about £60 for some ripoff Snoop Dogg Grenco vape. Man, that thing was a piece of shit.
OP is a retard who cant use simple tools correctly
>>4910832Fuck off, everyone is agreeing with me.
>>4910832erry butthurt mflb victim says that
>people spend 100+ on electric matchbox>"well, it works for ME..."hehehe
>people spend 100+ on electric matchbox>"well, it works for ME..."
>>4910880MFLB is a cult. Seriously.
>>49113905 years ago you could never, ever say anything bad about the mflb on this board without getting at least 4 separate individuals calling you a moron and saying how great it was. Glad those times are over. I think it might have been viral marketing.
>>4911391Fuck the lunch box, I fell for the viral marketing too. It's a piece of fucking trash engineered by a jolly african-american boomer high on crack in his garage. I'm convinced they hired at least 5 shills to promote their garbage tier product both here and fuckcombustion forums.
>>4911391meh vape tech has changed quite a bit too. I still have one but i might change it for another if i have some money.Aren't there any nice portable vapes that work without batteries? I remember seeing something like that here.
who has that pic where the guy is like "someone mentioned the flying lunchbox must be a viral marketing conspiracy"
>>4910647it could of been worse, you could of spent 3x the money on this fucking hunk of garbage. i guess its alright if you only want to taste weed and never get high.
Alright so i'm thinking of the arizer air. Yay or nay?
Pax 3 was kinda disappointing for the cost at first until I realized it actually works pretty good if you switch their awful default screen with a normal mesh one, This hot chick at the smoke shop really sold me on it and how it has a 10 year warranty that if I break it when a new one comes out they'll send me the newer one. Still I almost never use it unless I want a really long session while watching a movie or something.
>>4911391I have one, I don't use it
>>4911450Hahaaa I remember one of my college floormates freshman year had one of these, hyped it up to no end. Only remember pulling until my head hurt, with the only high coming from lack of oxygen
>>4910647i had pretty good results with my MFLB. right now i'm mostly using my vapcap paired with a water piece though
once i bought this round-shaped carb cap, and then after i bought it, i saw that it's meant to go to this particular type of nail that i didn't have. i have no idea if it does anything or not.
>>4910647Actually yeah I still own one of those but I never use it, it's in a closet somewhere. It performed its function at the time, it let me get high in my bedroom while living with my mom, without producing too much smell. The battery design is asinine and I ended up getting a wall-charger kit which is ridiculous for such a tiny thing. And again, it's all because there's so many people saying that it's good. When it's not.But ultimately I think it's just obsolete by today's standards. I don't think the Pax was even a thing yet when the MFLB first came out.
>>4910647it requires powerful batteries and correct technique (mine was similiar to beatboxing), but yeah, it's inferior to most vapes, the only advantage is (or was?) lifetime warranty so you always have something to vape off if you fear the fire, but in case my main vape breaks I still prefer pic related
weed is just fucking bongfiends and chain joint smokers lelI dont think i can ever always vape because im always gonna chase that conetothedome high
ITT: fags with high tolerance that cant hit a vape
>>4911457It gets the job done, easy to clean, replaceable stems and battery. I have one and still use it every now and then. Best tasting vape I own
>>4910647I have one, it's the only device I ever use for weed. Buy NiZn batteries, no heat output issues. Draw slowly.I also use mine with a third lung sometimes. It easily fills up a 2 liter bottle with vapor and I got too high last night https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ft7xJx9QmSs
Also, you can get 8 NiZn batteries on ebay for only $16 and I got the 8 charger for $16 on Aliexpress.I think there's 2 reasons why people hate or love the MFLB. I think people hate the MFLB because either:Their included batteries are bad (the accessories all suck, even the included ones)They're retarded stoners who draw as hard as they can and refuse to draw slowlyIt's a simple device: battery connects directly to metal mesh, electricity moves across mesh, mesh heats up, weed heats up. You can buy a generic or build one yourself.I've also used an Eagle Bill Shake & Vape and I liked it.
>>4911401VapCaps! I love mine
>>4911681Aight i'm going to try and sell my mflb on ebay (no idea of that will work) and i'm gonna get an arizer air2
>>4911622try adding a lil carbonated water so that it acts like a waterpipe for that tactic thing you got urself nb
Anybody else have any experience with the pax 3? I recently got one and it seems ok so far. Any tips for getting really smacked?
>>4914590eh, its alright. Nothing like a nice beaker bong though. As far as handhekd vapes go, its pretty nice.
>>4910647If I recall, these were only popular because they were the ONLY portable vape on the market. It was basically this, Volcano, a few others, and the shitty chinese "crystal ball" vapes that were basically open heating coils.
>>4910647I fell for this garbage meme-vape as well. Managed to tear the screen along the rail (essentially ruining it) within 2 months of getting it. Warranty yada yada, took me 4 months to ruin it the same way. Turns out they only replace it twice! Being super careful with the one I have now and it is still already slightly fucked up.That being said, once I learned how to properly use it, I have never had a problem getting stoned with this device. The batteries are a pain in the ass. The power adapter is probably a game changer but I'm definitely not buying another one of these when this one breaks (since they won't replace this time) so I don't plan on investing in a power adapter. It was a nifty little invention when it first came out. now it is an obsolete novelty
>>4914648This exactly. I bought one of these years ago because it was the only affordable option, portability was also a selling point but at the time any other vape was at least $200
>>4914648yeah it was when Arizer Solos retailed for like $300+ and there were only 4-5 other decent vaporizers and they were all desktops. it's essentially useless nowadays and basically all the portable herb vaporizers are trumped by oil pens/carts for portability and convenience and stealth. Lots of options at around $120 and a couple strong contenders under ~$80.
I bought a shisha, used it about 4 times in total then forgot about it.It burns the weed so fast, i preffer to TASTE it!
Bought a shisha and only used it like 4 times with friends. I wouldn't go through the hassle by myself, and it just burns hte weed so fast. I preffer slowly tasting the weed
i acquired a turkish water pipe, merely used it 4 times with comrades.its too much work to handle alone tho, also it consumes the herb really fast and i like to cherish every hit.
>>4910647Reminds me of a vapor genie lol. Interesting at the time, but fucking garbage compared to what you can get now. I used to have a launch box years ago (still have the tin that I use for nug) and while it was OK, it wasn't really all that intuitive and a lot of the people I showed it to ended up burning their nug ruining the taste.I've always had a thing for pocket vapes, but today's concentrate vape pens and similar devices blow those things out of the water.
>>4914710I have one of these, it's actually really decent I feel.
>>4911401Arizer solo, it's not too big and gives a good high
>>4910663It comes on like sheets of tissue paper. It takes longer to get high but the bowl lasts for an hour and your ceiling is much higher. It's easy to burn the weed instead of vaping with vapes like mflb.
While the mflb is certainly an early model and is nowhere near as good as a modern one like the mighty, I still found it worked much better than smoking once I got the hang of it and I can see why some dislike it or had bad results. If you can't get a high from a modern vape though, I suggest you book a visit to the doctors to have them examine your brain for signs of intelligent life.
CBD products are pretty fucking dumb. They sell really low dose concoctions for high prices and any effect is placebo.
>>4914838I dunno, I smoke weed daily and got a cbd vape for work so I can have smoke breaks. 100mg/ 10ml cbd is noticeable when im sttressed from cheffing, after 5 mins of vaping my CBD it's like "well fuck, that table can wait, it's done when it's done etc" instead of stressing and sweating one out. CBD doesn't get you high
>>4914838While they are pretty expensive, CBD products are effective in treating things ranging from anxiety to inflammation. Just because it doesn't get you high, doesn't mean it's placebo.Pleb.
>>4910647Imo the mflb is better suited to concentrates/ hash. To get high I required a diy 'third lung' otherwise i had no luck, either i would burn my bud or get really weak hits. Dont interpret my opinion as the rantings of a jilted user as i spent 2 years of my life with this has my main piece. After purchasing an arizer eq i was shocked at how ripped it got me. I have not looked back after buying the eq
Grasscity forums put so much undue praise on the MFLB 7 years ago when I first got mine. It was the ultimate no-thrills economy experience. It wasn't a forgiving piece of kit - easy to burn your bud, easy to run out of battery without knowing. It got you high though.I discovered the FlowerMate vapes a while ago and was completely sold on them. I had a habit of breaking the mouthpiece but other than that, solid kit. You'd just turn on, vape away. It wasn't particularly discreet with it's resin stained glass mouthpiece but very affordable, efficient and long battery life with a nice universal android phone charger. Cleaning it was amazing, you'd get so much resin buildup because the mouthpiece was the only place which would gather residue. Then you'd vape that shit and get even more stoned.Moved onto the PAX 3 eventually. It's a really good piece of kit, super discreet, fast to heat up, nothing to bother about. Only downside is that cleaning sucks, you can't really build up residue either. The design means that the vapour never really gathers in a set place.
OKay listen here I want to say some stuff. I've had a walnut MFLB with the finishing grinder for like 4 years now and it's been my daily driver except when my tolerance gets really high where i switch to my 7th floor brand Da buddha. I wanted to load a fat trench to see if I still had the ability to get myself fucking HIGH. I am not even halfway through this trench and I am BLITZED so I will always support the MFLB since I got in while the Power Adapter still has a lifetime warranty like the box itself. I am excited to try some of the batteries and third lungs I saw in this thread. I think of it as an ultralight ultra efficient desktop vape. I wouldn't necessarily recommend it to anyone else though. and I don't mind if you feel like it doesn't work for your toking habits. It suits mine perfectly and I'm so happy because I've broken the thing twice now and it doesn't even matter I didn't pay anything and still have a working box and always will. if you can get one secondhand it's worth holding on-to simply for its serial number. idk I love you mflb. I will never leave you because you will never leave me. I looked recently and they have a new power adapter. it doesn't have a lifetime warranty but maybe it doesn't break like the old ones supposedly do, idk, I treat mine properly and my power adapter has never faltered in my 4 years, but for some they can break in 6months-year. Experience with the mflb makes it work as well as literally any other thing-that-gets-my-weed-up-to-vaping-temperature except maybe even better because you have such direct manual control over the heating element. okay idk that's what I think as someone with an expert's amount of experience using the thing I guess.
>>4914874i borrowed my mates, it was ok but burned the weed, I had to keep opening it and sturing the weed about. You can't toke on it properly either since one small pull and the vapor has gone from the chamber, needing another few seconds to fill again before you can get 1/4th of a decent hit ... I have had other dry hurb vapes with actual "oven" chambers that no matter what you do will not burn your weed, and you can take a long continual honk on it. IDK man, MFLB's are so primitive for a heavy smoker, it's too much effort for worth. I think you just have not experienced a decent vape before.
>>4914883Yeah you'll never be able to sit down and vape endlessly, effortlessly for 20/30 minutes into outer space.
can't they just make a new engine with all the same ui for the devs and guts for the modders?... ↵
