>Triple H has a brand new documentary coming to DVD in the Autumn. He described it as like nothing WWE has ever done on him before. He did a few hours of interviews and it will likely focus on Triple H's legacy and future as a key member of WWE's corporate and creative hierarchy as well as his family life. His wife Stephanie also filmed interviews this week too. It should be pretty good.

Who the fuck would want to watch that?

I know that feel, I was playing a 1994 mod and they gave Misawa a C+ in selling and a C+ in charisma, wtf? Have they ever watched a single Misawa match? Is he a shit seller because he doesn't go 'oh god the bees' and doesn't do a backflip after a punch? In the end I gave him A* in every performance skill because he really was that good.

So true, it really becomes a situation where I have to decide if take on the daunting task of editing everyone before I start a game or only after I hire them. And when ever I do the latter all of a sudden every Japanese promotion has to totally flip their roster just to maintain their popularity.

After a month of play and seeing that Big Japan entire roster is over the hill joshi wrestlers kinda hurt immersion.

Sup /wooo/, I went on vacation for a week and then moved to a new apartment once I got back, as such, I missed the Joker's Wild PPV when it aired. What was the general consensus, was it any good? Out of all of their One Night Only concepts, this one sounded the least interesting to me, but I have nothing to watch at the moment so I'm thinking of watching it.

Its not a T-shirt, but at least the champ gets a little something, right? Wonder if it even sells, and if so, how much is she getting?

Never was sold on the stuff they generally put on the back of the shirts they design.

In order to watch Puro, you'll kinda have to shed most of what you're used to in American wrestling.

They wrestle differently. They promo differently. They commentate differently. They pop differently. Everything is different. Most of the titantrons look like documentaries. Names are said backwards. Faces are punched.

You need to not measure it by the standards of the wrestling over here.

>You need to not measure it by the standards of the wrestling over here.
I strongly disagree. If I love a shoot style match, I tend to love it for the same reason I would southern territory match, as I would for a death match or a technical match.

Probably the biggest difference is that moves look like there's some struggle involved, WWE, ECW and the indies sort of propped up this idea that moves should look crisp and done with out much struggle.

A powerbomb in a highly praised match might look sloppy at first, but all of a sudden once your use to it, it just adds to the drama. It's no longer sloppy, it's powering through desperation. Something America seems to have lost in the 90s.

Not worth watching to be honest. He didn't give a fuck and the matches were piss poor. Granted, it was during the era when NJPW was in really bad shape and could have folded and Brock who was supposed to be the big draw needed and eventually pass the torch to Tanahashi and didn't do either.

Angle technically never won the actual IWGP title. Brock was stripped of it after failing or refusing to job to Tanahashi. Inoki who had just been ousted from NJPW and formed his own promotion proclaimed Brock as the real IWGP champion and that was what Angle won.

>>2934987
Depends on the Gaijin. AJPW had a great collection of Gaijin's during the 90s. Stan Hansen, Terry Gordy, Steve Williams were gaijins who were in the main event scene and all won triple crown titles. Hansen's the main reason all Japanese wrestlers want to LARIATOOOO.

Vader is also another famous Gaijin who worked for nearly all promotions in Japan and was always in the main event. Scott Norton also won the IWGP title. There's also some other guys who's had good success like canam express, Johnny Ace, Tensai and some others.

Currently, the gaijins who's the most over would probably be Karl Anderson and Prince Devitt.

How do you feel about the WWE to this day claiming that the Rock/Mankind "This Is Your Life" skit is the highest rated segment in Raw history, when the highest rated segment (not counting overruns, where people are tuning in expecting to see something other than wrestling) is actually a 1999 match between the Undertaker and Steve Austin?

Yeah, I forgot to mention there that from 2005 when Cena first won the world title until the first part of 2007, the brand split was in full effect and there were "Raw" and "Smackdown" PPVs, meaning that there were a good 8 or 10 PPVs Cena couldn't have main evented in because of the split, yet he still caught up to Austin in the remaining three years. Also, I know Austin was out for around a year because of injury, and Cena was out for a few months thanks to that pectoral tear in 07.

I lived through the Austin years too. Whatever you did "mark" for, Austin was sure to bury it. Whoever you marked for's friend hit Austin with a chair, knocked out the ref and has the entire company on his side? Stunner outta nowhere 1-2-3 drink beer hell yeah!

Marking for somebody who happens to be in the ring when Austin decides to come out? Buried and embarrassed.

Mark for any heel? Forget it, even the Undertaker was made to look like shit against Austin. In fact, the entire Ministry was.

The Attitude Era was Austin 24/7. If you marked for Austin you loved the Attitude Era, if you liked somebody or didn't like Austin you were fucked.

>Nobuhiko Takada vs. Super Vader - UWFi 08/18/1994
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Egs7y6nWeSI

If you want to get into shoot-style, watch this match. Stiff as rigor mortis, Takada's kicks will make you never take Punk's or DBD's seriously again, and Vader is in all out bear-mode just swiping away with huge bombs. Add in a super-hot crowd and the big-match style presentation that Japan is famous for and you have a really enjoyable contest. This is their second encounter I believe, but all their matches together are worth watching.

Hiromi Yagi vs. Mariko Yoshida (c), ARSION 2/18/1999
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QBU87mhqtCM

This match is for Yoshida's Queen of ARSION title and is an excellent title match. It's probably the best technical women's match I've ever seen. Lots of very good mat wrestling that combines technique aswell as athleticism. Yoshida is ruthless in grappling, but the young ball of fire Yagi won't back away from the veteran. Great story, great wrestling, great match.

Hey guys, still need a cover picture for Cena vs. Punk. I know there were some made back in the early threads so don't leave me hanging. A cover picture for Kudo vs. Toyoda would be great as well.

Im gonna bump this

Do you guys have a solution yet for the primarily ballot that was mentioned. This week ill add all the matches again until we come up with that.

The only thing is that I dont want to clog up the boards with these threads.

I know I sound like a youtube attitude era mark but I think adding some blood to the match would make this cage match more brutal and EXTREMEEEEE. At least give me a superplex. What would they do if Brock is busted open hard way, completely stop the match?

When Brock fought that one legged guy? I'm pretty sure he ended his career on Smackdown.
