>The Dome is closed. RIP Dome thread

THE STUFF IN THE TUBES:

>Puro Tube is on Tuesdays in /wooo/tube - http://taima.tv/r/wooo at 3pm EDT / 8pm BST and shows promotions outside of NOAH, NJPW, and Dragon Gate. Join in as everyone argues why their favorite fed is superior and Yanopost, Anopost, CIMApost and dance like Keita until your tummy is full from all that snackpine.
>DG Tube airs on Thursdays in Mondai Night Ryu - http://taima.tv/r/mondainightryu at 8pm EDT / 1am BST and features the latest and classic Dragon Gate shows as well as IPPV replays. Other stuff is featured here from time to time as well. (like cheesy 80s films or the mega marathon before Kobe World)
>NJPW on AXS TV also airs on Thursdays in /wooo/tube and /wooo/alt - http://taima.tv/r/woooalt at 10pm EDT / 3am BST (9:30pm EDT / 2:30am BST if Impact Wrestling is uploaded) showing matches from several months ago with English commentary provided by Jim Ross and Josh Barnett. Replays air on Fridays at 12:30pm EDT / 5:30pm BST (or earlier if there's more than one episode).
>Besides /wooo/tube and /dg/tube, MokoTV provides IPTV feeds that are now blown wide open and you can watch whatever is airing on Samurai TV, Gaora, or G+ in there, at least until it's fixed by the Chinese pirates. http://taima.tv/r/mokotv

Outside of Puro Tube, there's usually a few puro marks in the chat that can help fill you in on storylines and find you matches. Just show up outside of big shows like Raw, and you'll find someone in there to help you out. Puro matches also show up in the playlist, so scroll around to find them. Shows and PPVs are regularly streamed in the tubes, check the schedule for details.

>THE MAJOR FEDS:

NJPW: Oldest and largest promotion in Japan. Owned by Bushiroad and is booked by Gedo. His booking gets the tubes riled up sometimes (all the time), but the match quality generally makes up for it. In the midst of something of a revival, and although you may argue that it is already drawing to a close, they are still doing good business at the moment. They run one of the largest shows in wrestling, called Wrestle Kingdom, every year on January 4th at the fabled Tokyo Dome. Most every show they run, large and small, air in the tubes. They have a slew of foreign wrestlers on their roster right now.

Dragon Gate: Almost certainly the second largest promotion in Japan. Born out of the Toryumon promotion, which was the brainchild of Ultimo Dragon, their style is a mixture of classic puro, cruiserweight/junior heavyweight sprints, and lucha libre. Stable warfare is a huge part of the promotion, with most every wrestler in the company being aligned with a unit in some way. Though it is a big promotion, they retain a grassroots feel, with wrestlers selling merch before and after shows, and running many shows out of community centers and gyms. Most of their large shows air in the tubes, and footage is also posted here. They also have a show that is filmed monthly in their little studio in Kobe called Prime Zone which is wacky, fun, and full of Mondai Ryu schemes.

DDT: Indie promotion gunning for the second-largest-in-Japan spot alongside Dragon Gate. Founded in 1997 by Sanshiro Takagi (a big Stone Cold Steve Austin fan), they have taken the western sports entertainment style to the next level with ridiculous matches and outrageous gimmicks, like violently gay wrestlers, promos done in PowerPoint before matches, championships specifically for dark matches, and blow-up dolls and ladders winning titles. Despite the goofiness, there is tons of talent there, with names like Kota Ibushi, HARASHIMA, and Kenny Omega having been regulars at one point or another.

AJPW: Still rebuilding from the glory days of the 80s and 90s, when icons like Jumbo Tsuruta, Mitsuharu Misawa, Kenta Kobashi, Toshiaki Kawada, Stan Hansen, Genichiro Tenryu, and Akira Taue loomed large. They were nearly killed after Misawa formed Pro Wrestling NOAH, taking most of the roster with him, but after a decade and a half of turmoil, they are doing fairly well right now, thanks in no small part due to the efforts of Jun Akiyama. The 80s/90s classics are a must-watch for any new puro fan, and their current product ain't bad either.

NOAH: Founded in 2000 by Misawa after leaving AJPW. Was arguably the best fed in the world for a few years, featuring the Four Pillars of AJPW and new faces like KENTA, Naomichi Marufuji, Go Shiozaki, and Takeshi Morishima, but since Misawa’s death in 2009, they have taken quite a nosedive. Booked by NJPW’s Jado at the moment, who’s helped by bringing in New Japan’s Suzukigun stable, but the company is still in rough shape. Some very talented foreign wrestlers, including Zack Sabre Jr. and Chris Hero, have worked for them as well.

BJW: Founded in 1995 in the midst of FMW’s deathmatch craze, Big Japan became their successor much in the same way CZW became the new ECW. Famed for being the first promotion to use lighttubes in deathmatches, as well as tons of other crazy shit. Over the last few years they have begun toning down the blood and carnage, and have awesome Strong and Tag Team divisions with many talented wrestlers, but this is still the go-to promotion for deathmatches in Japan.

Eita being a prick to him. OG always putting him in jobber matches.

Also while it seems stupid for him to go to Verserk after the way Shingo treated him remember that Lindaman is now there and Linda is also ex-OG, so punch perhaps thinks Linda will have his back.

Oh man, I just rewatched ROH's Blood Generation vs. DoFixer match. So nostalgic. The tag team moves they use to do, Dragon Kid wearing a shirt and doing the Dragonrana, everyone looking young and doing moves that they don't do now. It was great.

Why does everyone here love Naito so much? He has a cool gimmick sure but he is very repetitive in the ring. He must have raked Elgin's eyes at least 10 times in their match. Maybe I'm just getting worked but no way he should have kicked out of 3 Elgin bombs in a row, one of which was on the apron and another that was against the guard rail. That was some Roman Reigns or Cena bullshit

DG had their tapings in Hakata today. There's not much to say from the results, other that Yoshino showed up and gave a brief speech. He basically said that he's going to be out for a while and although he'd really like to come back to wrestling, he couldn't today. Apparently he came from Kobe just to make this speech. He's hoping the fans support him when he's able to return. T-Hawk then came in and told Yoshino to stop blabbering on the mic, but then Muscular Countdown hit and Doi came in and they did a confrontation spot before VerserK left. Doi and Yoshino then shared some banter. Doi basically he doesn't really hate Yoshino and is waiting for him to come back from his injury. Yoshino was confused by this whole thing and was wondering why Doi was all friendly with him all of a sudden. In any rate, the main event was a Naniwa-style Elimination Match (basically a tag royal rumble-style match) and Team Doi won it over VerserK.

The only championship match on the show was CIMA and Dragon Kid vs Yosuke Santa Maria and Kzy. Maria ended up getting pinned by Dragon Kid.

sorry i fucked the translation up. rikaichan isnt working in my browser and i was going off robeshisyo's report. in fact, doi said the exact opposite:

>DoiYoshi shared some banter. Doi told him he hates him. Really hates him. But he has one thing to ask him. Does Yoshino want him to wait for him to return? Yoshino told him he hates his guts. But if Doi is so smitten that he wants to wait for him, then he can do as he wishes. Doi fired back that Yoshino has a bigger crush on him than vice-versa. This went on for awhile. Doi told him that if he wants Doi to wait for him he should come out and say so! Yoshino said if Doi wants to wait, then he should come out and say so! More of this followed with no end in sight. Doi finally concluded that it was what Yoshino wanted, so he will wait for him. They shook hands. Yoshino found this whole ordeal embarrassing and told Doi his team better win in the main event.

Count another fuckup for me. As an apology allow me to copy paste the Champion Gate lineup, which will take place over March 4th and 5th in Osaka
>Open the Triangle Gate Championship Match: Ryo “Jimmy” Saito, Jimmy Susumu, Jimmy Kanda vs. Shingo Takagi, Cyber Kong, T-Hawk
>Open the Twin Gate Championship Match: CIMA, Dragon Kid vs. BxB Hulk, Kzy
>Open the Brave Gate Championship Match: Eita vs. El Lindaman
>Open the Dream Gate Championship Match: YAMATO vs. Cyber Kong

So I know that the dream gate match is probably going to fucking suck but the others should be fun. This might be an iPPV, but DG didn't do it last year so it more than likely won't.

Because CIMA likes seeing Kong shit the bed in Dream Gate matches.

Also, I expect they wanna give YAMATO a filler defense before they start building towards Dead or Alive, & there's no one else for him to defend against.

The storyline they are going with is that Cyber has fucked everyone up, even though Kotoka's injury was from his past issues with his knee. There was a spot he did with Ishida where he fucking spiked him hard on his neck and idk if that is what put him on the shelf or not, but it was so nasty.

Speaking of DOA, I wonder what the plan is for the cage match, is it doing to be faction based like last year's, or more like 2015 where every faction played a part in the match

DG continues on their house show tour. Today was a stop in Kobe, which will air on Gaora in a couple of weeks. Cliffs notes follow and I apologize for bad translations because Jae is an old man and cant do this all the time

>Punch Tominaga got the win over Eita today courtesy of a salt attack from Lindaman. Lindaman went and taunted Eita after the match, saying that Eita might as well just hand the belt over now.
>There was a Jimmyz vs Mocchi/Futa match, but unfortunately Ben-K met a Susumu lariat and was pinned.
>Yoshino was back again today to make the usual "I'm injured" speech. He says that even though he's still experiencing numbness in his right arm he has started to really recover. No word on when he's coming back. He said some words about Doi that Google Translate really fucked up but I think he's saying that he's looking forward to working with Doi when he eventually returns.
>Kzy won again today in his road to the Twin Gate match, this time in a match against the Twin Gate champs (he pinned Dragon Kid). He did a whole promo afterward that basically was nothing much to note other than "we're coming for those belts"
>The main event was a VerserK vs Tribe Vanguard match. Shingo and T-Hawk made it a point to abuse Maria as much as possible, making fun of her small tits and choking her with a belt among other things. Although this motivated Maria a bit, in the end T-Hawk put her away with the Night Ride. After the match Cyber Kong taunted the fans, saying that he had already sent a few people to the hospital and YAMATO was next in line. Not only is he interested in the Dream Gate, he also has a Triangle Gate match. The Jimmyz came out at this point and Cyber Kong continued to shittalk them. Sairyo was all "you're not going to beat us", then T-Hawk fired off a parting shot, saying that the next time Cyber Kong comes back to Kobe, he will have two championships. The Jimmyz closed out the show with a Jimmyz Train.

Haven't seen this posted and I have no idea where to throw this but it's somewhat old news. WWE is running Ryogoku again this year, this time on June 30th and July 1st. Tickets go on sale next month. No news on whether or not it will be a Network special or anything yet.

DG is still on tour, this time they were in Kanazawa. Not much to note other than Cyber Kong jumping everyone after the main event after Kzy won. YAMATO was on the end of a particular lariat that, according to Google Translate, bent his body in an unnatural way. After that Cyber Kong took the Dream Gate belt and went to the top ropes and showed it off to everyone. Outside of this we had the usual Stalker Ichikawa humiliation at the hands of Mocchi.

I think any wrestlers working any style face the same risk when they're working as much as the DG guys are. Look at how many injuries guys in WWE get, or the kind of shit that NJPW guys are working through. It's just part of wrestling.

That said, YAMATO's injury (which doesn't sound *too* serious at least) apparently came in a VerserK match so if Shingo's responsible for this one too then I'm more than happy to redact this and join you in agreement that Shingo Takagi is Fucking Terrible.

So that Japanese mobile wrestling-themed card game Ring☆Dream that has a deal with DDT put out some new art. These are Ken Ohka, Soma Takao, and Akito respectively. Here's a link to the main site for the DDT-related girls: https://swninfo.success-corp.co.jp/general/ringdream/ddt/ I can only assume someone should be able to find a way to rip good quality full-sized images from the site, but I'm not good with that sort of thing.

Akito being best girl makes sense considering how great a wrestler he is.

With all the injuries going with Dragon Gate, I wonder if they consider bringing in a few freelancers, maybe some that were trained under Ultimo Dragon as it fit the style and maybe some guys involved with Osaka Pro, as well as maybe bring back Jack Evans and bring in some luchadors from The Crash through Jack and Konnan like Penta El 0M, Rey Fenix, Brian Cage, Jeff Cobb, and Daga to fill in the cards

Anybody here see the main event of the new DNA show? Saw a couple gifs, looked like a proper hoss-off tag. That young boy with the orange hair and the THICC legs, Yoshimura, really catches my eye. Most surprising thing about the match is that Akebono bumped more than once apparently.

Sometimes I wish it were easier for me to invest and or give so much as a single solitary of a fuck towards New Japan. It's so boring. Everyone on this roster either seems too midcard or doesn't have his priorities in check. I'm finished watching the 1st hour of Honor Rising this huge Trios Exclusive PPV and everyone is a bigger spot monkey then anyone currently active in the WWE. What am I missing here besides a refind taste?

>Hirooki Goto; the greatest IWGP Intercontinental Champion objectively of all time, Kazuchika “Gedo will never stop pushing me” Okada, Will “I’m above your shitty Cruiserweight/UK Championships” Ospreay and Nobuo Yoshihashi the man who should be the next IWGP Intercontinental Champion defeated Fale Simitaitoko; /wooo/’s most hated New Japan wrestler, Tama Tonga the 4th Uso Brother, Former WWE Undercard representative Camacho, and Yujiro Takahashi the only man capable of unifying the IWGP Intercontinental Championship and the Never Openweight Championships. *** 1/4 stars

Lots of Midcard/Upper Midcard reliable hands in this match. Will seems comfy just floating around New Japan’s Junior Heavyweights working the occasional What Culture/PWG/ROH show making a lot of money showing zero interest in WWE’s relentless peer pressure. Okada is the biggest draw outta all 7 men in this pile. He’s there to pose, hit finisher, win. As he should for a show like this.

>Tetsuya Shimizu (Japanese Rey Mysterio), Takaaki Watanabe (Emo Tomohiro Ishii with Faggy Purple Tumblr Hair), and Seiya Sanada (Who has the perfect Jojo combover) defeated Hunter Johnston; Owner of ROH Wrestling and Chikara Legend, Veteran Keiichi Yamada, and Yoshihiro Yamazaki (A man who needs to make a debut at some AAA Shows in the foreseeable future. ** 3/4 stars

Delirious had way too much involvement in this match and you knew 30 seconds in either he or Jushin would be taking the fall...this idiot owns ROH. This man is not sweating bullets that 2/3 of its roster fucking left to seek better employment opportunities. Fucking Tiger Mask competing for the Worthless Trios Championships he should be in the Main Event picture he’s the fucking poster child for New Japan’s anime.

>NXT reject CJ Parker, Yujiro Kushida, and a man who is unrelated to Finlay but is named Finlay whom I can’t find anywhere on Google for some stupid fucking reason defeated Keiji Takayama, Shoji Akiyoshi, and Silas Young *** 1/4 stars

Gedo is the COO of New Japan wrestling and yet here he is working the opener with the sore loser of ROH Silas “Never win when it actually fucking matters” Young. You’d think with the massive talent migration from ROH he’d hit the Indie bandwagon but he shows no interest. Kushida is eternally my boy and he’d wreck next years CWC if he was a participant.

Day 2 of Honor Rising was the shit. I still dunno why they gave Adam Page and Cody Rhodes the big victories for their respective Tag-Teams. I fucking loved that War Machine match

>Hirooki Goto defeated Damian "The Punisher" Martinez to retain the NEVER Openweight Championship ** 3/4 stars

Boring match compared to all the Tag-Team chaos we’ve seen up to this point. This was a piss break match that should have opened the show then transitioning the Silas match over to this part of the card. It would have transitioned fine.

>Shoji Akiyoshi and Silas Young defeated Yujiro Kushida and Finlay *** 1/4 stars

I see the problem here. The reason why you lost Day 1 is because you had Gedo having his masturbatory wet dreams about Okada getting in the way of his work rate and you didn’t have CJ Parker getting the winning victory for his Trio Group.

>Tetsuya Shimizu, Takaaki Watanabe, Hiromu Takahashi, Seiya Sanada, and Tetsuya Naito defeated Ryusuke Taguchi, Yoshihiro Yamazaki, Keiichi Yamada, Delirious and Dalton Castle in a 5-vs-5 Tag-Team match *** stars

This was the 2nd goddamn match that cost Delirious’s team the victory BECAUSE OF DELIRIOUS! They should have just left him chained and have Tiger Mask take care of it. Like I almost would have been OK Delirious getting a Cheaters Roll-Up on Takaaki.

>Yujiro Takahashi, Fale Simitaitoko, and Adam Page defeated Hiroshi Tanahashi, Jay Lethal and CJ Parker *** stars

Page pinned Lethal...That had to have been a warning from Delirious. “So what’s this I hear you casually glanced at an NXT Contract? You thinking about leaving the company that raised your stock?” Its so odd because Page is the little bitch boy of Bullet Club he’s a guy who loses more then he wins.

>Hanson and Raymond Rowe defeated Camacho and Tama Tonga *** 1/4 stars

This match was great. War Machine is still entertaining way more entertaining then the Authors of Shit.

I've seen a couple of tweets with "DDT" and the rough translation includes "evil ways" which is generally Jado (邪道)'s name translated, along with this photo, so I'm assuming he landed wrong from Jado's DDT: https://twitter.com/Masaya_ok_jp/status/837618648592179200

Also photos of Honma being carried out: https://twitter.com/high_neck0413/status/837615785782595584

I was immediately thinking this was a work at first, but they usually do this kind of angle when there are cameras. This isn't being filmed though, so it has to be legitimate. Sucks for Honma, man :\ I hope it's not too serious.

Honma was unresponsive following a maneuver from Jado, a DDT from the second rope. The match suddenly ended as the medical personal rushed into the ring to check up on Honma. He was unable to move and was rushed to the nearest hospital in Okinawa.

YAMATO has retained. He got really fucked up because someone, I'm assuming Cyber misted him in the eyes. YAMATO won with a sleeper and the ref stopped it. I don't know if anyone came out afterwards. Cyber took off his mask during the match too. I'll wait and see if Jae has said anything else.

Okay, full Champions Gate Day 2 report:

>The contract signing for the Dream Gate title match was held at the start of the show. Kong said that his mighty Pineapple Bomber already injured his throat once. He will do way worse than that today, and there will be no hope for recovery. The next Dream Gate champion will be Cyber Kong.
YAMATO apologized if his voice was difficult to hear. Two weeks ago, he began feeling the feats of a sore throat. After taking a damage to the area from Kong, he was diagnosed with a deformity in the area. He has not competed in two weeks. His throat was still worse for wear, but the rest of him was in peak condition. Kong will feel the wrath of the Dream Gate champion today.

>Susumu talked before the opener. The Jimmyz lost yesterday. They weren’t going to give up though. They will just move forward and seize the next opportunity. They would start by exacting some revenge on Verserk today.

>After the match, Lindaman ran down the Osaka fans. He wasn’t even trying today. He talked about the upcoming Brave Gate tournament. He was going to smash Eita to bits on his way to becoming the new champion.

>Eita reviewed the events from yesterday that led to him being stripped of the Brave Gate. He wasn’t going to let Lindaman and Tominaga go unpunished. In his tournament match with Lindaman he was going to break his arm. Not just beat him, but break his arm.

>Doi thanked Ben-K for doing most of the heavy hitting today, and asked him to do it again at Memorial Gate when they go for the Triangle Gate. He saw Yoshino lurking around backstage, so he called him out. He confronted him about his comment yesterday regarding Doi waiting for him. He was doing nothing of the sort! Yoshino told him to not be embarrassed. No need to lie. Shimizu has sent him the LINE chats where Doi said he was waiting for Yoshino. Doi became flustered after Shimizu confirmed the conversation. Yeah, he said it, but only because Yoshino asked him to wait for him! They bantered a bit more before Doi finally admitted he wanted Yoshino to recover and he was waiting for him. Yoshino thanked him and the show began to proceed to intermission when Kotokas’ music hit. He told Doi & Yoshino that he was working hard to rehab from his knee surgery so he could take his spot by their side. Doi bluntly told him no one called him out here. Kotoka said that DoiYoshiKoto sounded like a good team. Doi again wanted nothing to him. He wished him luck with his recovery, but when Doi & Big & Ben take the Triangle Gate there will be no place for Kotoka.

>CIMA put over Kzy for his marked improvement over the last few months. To be honest, he didn’t think much of him at this time last year, but he has become a totally different wrestler. He is now one of the most important members of the roster. Hulk, of course, has been important from the start. CK-1 were the winners today, but North Tribe had lots of time left. They were welcome to come after the Twin Gate any time.
Kzy thanked CK-1 for the two title opportunities. He was just getting started. He was inspired by Akira Tozawa risking everything to achieve his dreams. He was going to go after his with the same resolve.

>Kong voluntarily removed his mask in the later stages of the match, and also used black mist.

>YAMATO closed the show. He is YAMATO of Dragon Gate. He was going to leave his mark on the pro wrestling industry. He was going to be the man to lead Dragon Gate into a golden age. He thanked the Osaka faithful for coming out over the last two days. He promised to succeed through potential defenses in Wakayama and Aichi, and return to Osaka as champion.

DG announced the matchups and date where the Brave Gate tournament will be taking place. It's on 3/19 in Nagoya at a house show.

The matchups are:
>Eita vs El Lindaman
>Yosuke Santa Maria vs Punch Tominaga
>Takehiro Yamamura vs Kzy
>Draztik Boy vs Jimmy Kagetora

The semifinals and final match will be at Memorial Gate, which will be out on DVD in the summer.

They also announced a few more house show cards but those aren't important at all so I'm leaving them out.

If you want the must-see/relevant matches:
>Goto vs Juice
>Okada vs Suzuki
>Shibata vs Ospreay
>Tana/Taguchi/Nakanishi vs LOS (rematch from NYD)
>Hiromu vs Dragon Lee
>Elgin vs Naito
>Shibata vs ZSJ
>Ishii & Yano vs TenKoji
>Hiromu vs Taguchi
>Okada vs Tiger Mask W
Beyond that you can check out some errant Fantasticamania matches (Day 6 which has Sky Team vs UG/Euphoria, Okada/Ospreay/Barbaro vs Taguchi/KUSHIDA/Soberano, Hechicero/Maximo, and Rush/Atlantis is a good show to check out for example), and the main events of both Honor Rising shows (haven't seen them but both are getting praise; Omega is apparently really awesome in both). Makabe's 20th Anniversary show is basically a themed house show where Makabe's theme isn't dubbed, so you can skip it unless you really like Makabe.

Then if you really want to see some more stuff, a handful of Road To shows had good things. There were some big faction vs faction elimination matches during the New Beginning tour that got some attention; Tiger Mask W & Tiger Mask IV vs Okada & Gedo happened last week I think; the Korakuen show following the Anniversary show apparently had a pretty hot crowd and good action for the top 2 matches.

>I want Nagata to win but I feel like he'll lose because he's a replacement
>Elgin wins in a better-than-expected hoss-off

>This one's difficult, but I think MiSu manages to screw Shibata out of a win to continue terrorizing him and get some heat back after losing to Okada
>Juice gets the win so he can say he's been in the Quarters of the NJC
>Omega, as this is his first singles match in NJPW since the Dome and he should get back into winning ways
>TACOS gets the upset win so he can finish his trilogy with Kenny

The way I'm seeing it the Semis will be EVIL/Elgin and Omega/Suzuki, and those sound fucking awesome.

There's not much going on with DG other than a house show tour that they're taking their time with. Not many airings have been announced either.

Important dates for May are:
>5/5 Dead or Alive
>5/9 Korakuen
>5/15 Kobe
>5/20 Edion Arena Osaka
>5/26, 27, 28 Sapporo

Most of those dates will probably have the King of Gate tournament going on then. Tickets are on sale for Dead or Alive right now and as usual the top priced seats are sold out already.

The full episode list for YAMATO's cooking show has been announced
>4/10 YAMATO-style Dream Tag Curry / Stylish Chankonabe
>4/14 YAMATO's invincible giant Hamburger
>4/21 YAMATO's Strong Rice of Champions
>4/28 YAMATO Spirit: (Japanese style) Spaghetti

Holy fucking shit DDT keeping up with the hot news and shooting on Japanese society from dramaticddt of course

>The feud between Danshoku Dino and Joey Ryan now has American politics involved! Dino held a press conference with “Donald ” who claimed to be a new owner of DDT. was here to give an international PowerPoint presentation for Dino’s upcoming match with Ryan. said the match will be a war between two geniuses. Because of this it was difficult to determine what match the two wrestlers should have. gave a SWOT analysis on Dino to solve this problem. According to the analysis, Dino’s strength is being the strongest gay wrestler in the world but his weakness is his antics making his parents angry. His opportunity is to make gay marriage legal in Japan but his biggest threat is Japan’s ageing society.

>Using this information came up with several ideas for match stipulations like a Gay Tag Royal Rumble, a Mutual Parant Swapping Death Match and a 30 Year Iron Man Match. He also considered moving the match over to the town where Dino’s parents live. But as the conference went on began focusing on the words “SWOT ANALYSIS” on the screen. He looked closer and closer until he singled out the word “ANAL”. That’s when he made his decision. It should be an Anal Explosion Death Match! This match is a World Wrestling War so it should be fought under the most dangerous stipulation! denied being Super Sasadango Machine in disguise. Dino suggested that Sasadango evolved into like a Pokémon. Dino then wondered why is this match now a war? Fighting Joey in an Anal Explosion Death Match isn’t going to solve anything. ended the conference by saying he will never leave Japan.

> Kagetora/KZY/Maria/Lindaman all won their Brave Gate tournament matches

But the big news coming out of that show is the Dead or Alive main event which has been announced as the following:

> -Open the Dream Gate Championship 5 Way Steel Cage Match: YAMATO vs. Shingo Takagi vs. Naruki Doi vs. BxB Hulk vs. Cyber Kong

I have a feeling Susumu's gonna be added to this. After all, they never resolved the pinfall on YAMATO in the Doi Darts 12-man and he also got booked super strong on that show and in general since then. Plus, they've always had 6 guys in the cage but then again they never had the title on the line either.

Eita could go after the Triangle Gate with Gamma & Yamamura. As for him losing to El Lindaman, the finals could be Kzy/Linda so I could see why they had him go over. Either way I wouldn't worry about him yet.

Also, YAMATO defending the belt in a Dead or Alive match is a pretty cool idea & I'm pretty hyped for that.

Kagetora is the new Brave Gate champion. He beat Lindaman for the belt.

Team Doi (Doi, Big R, Ben-K) are now Triangle Gate Champions

During the post match, Yoshino revealed that the numbness in his right arm is now gone, and his recovery has reached the strength building phase. He was still going to need some time before he can return to the ring, so he asked Doi to be patient for a little while longer.

That's Kagetora's first singles belt in DG isn't it? Good for him. My boy Big R with a belt too and it seems like they're fairly high on Ben-K at the moment.

Masahiro Chono is getting a Figma. Possibly as a counter to S.H. Figuarts having the WWF license. Except SHF are really good at wrestlers since they do a bunch of Kinnikuman stuff. Maybe if it's just Chono in normal clothes like the promo image it'll be good.

Kitamura's absense tells me he already knows.

He's fucking ready brother. Give him, Nagata, and some third guy the 6-Man titles ASAP. You know, to ease the audience into him, so they're prepared when he becomes the top guy.

Who's left that isn't part of any of these factions? Shibata being part of the Dads is kind of fringe, but he had that angle where he earned their respect last year and has tagged with Nagata pretty often since.

I think the only people in the company without strict alliances are Ricochet & Finlay.

The Coalition would get pretty big at that point, though.

I'd split them off into two groups:
>Unofficial coalition of Dads (Nagata, Nakanishi, Liger, & Tiger Mask IV), Shibata, and Young Lions (Kitamura, Oka, Kawato, etc.) feat. Tiger Mask W when he's around
>Bread Club (Kojima, Tenzan, Ricochet, Finlay, and eventually Jay White)

So in Dragon Gate news:

>Jimmy Kanda & Jimmy K-Ness are next in line for a Twin Gate title match. The match will happen on April 23rd, against CIMA & Dragon Kid
>YAMATO hinted in a recent promo that hairs & masks will be on the line in the Dream Gate Dead or Alive title cage match. Rules will be announced soon.

They have to keep it that way for a year, right? I started following DG properly from last years DOA and I haven't had the time or resources to make a proper dive back further yet, but I assume Kotoka will be growing his back after this year's show.

If Doi is still Kotoka's favourite person on his return, I could definitely see Doi losing at DOA, either prompting Kotoka to keep his hair bald too or just try and be there for Doi and keep being rebuffed. As long as he finds someone to love him back in the end

The rules for the Dead or Alive 2017 steel cage main event have been announced and are as follows.

>Flags will be place at the top of the cage at each corner. The Dream Gate title belt will be placed on the center pole.
>The Takagi, Kong, Hulk, & Doi must first retrieve a flag. Once they have done so, they will gain Dream Gate challenger status.
>The four challengers can be eliminated via pin or submission at any time during the match. This can occur before they are able to r...etrieve a challenger flag. An eliminated competitor must leave the cage.
>YAMATO must compete during the entire match, but will not be able to retrieve the title belt until there is only 1 challenger remaining. He can not be eliminated via pin fall or submission at any point during the match.
>The match will progress until YAMATO and 1 challenger remain. The match can then be won by retrieving the Dream Gate title belt to win.
>The final competitor left in the cage will lose their hair or mask.

Hello friends. I don't have much to say that hasn't already been posted in this thread, but the latest Dragon Gate iPPV is up for purchase now so you can go buy it or something. This is a rare appearance at Korakuen and most of the time they run during the week.

>Something is going on with Akito, there is more to him leaving Smile Squash than just wanting a change in scenery. His match with Yasu Urano featured interference from Daisuke Sasaki and Tetsuya Endo. Sasaki gave Urano a Low Blow while Endo distracted the referee. Akito did not see it happen but still took advantage and pinned Urano with the Hanamasa. Urano offered a handshake after the match but Akito rejected him and stormed out of the ring. When Akito found out about DAMNATION’s interference he thought it was just an April Fool’s joke being played on him.
>There is a change in plans for this year’s Right To Challenge Anytime, Anywhere challenge. Instead of a Battle Royal Ladder Match there will instead be five singles matches to determine who wins a contract. The matches are Akito Vs Kouki Iwasaki, Antonio Honda Vs Royce Isaacs, KUDO Vs Shigehiro Irie, Yoshihiro Takayama Vs Kazusada Higuchi and Keisuke Ishii Vs Yoshihiko. Each match will have a five minute time limit and if the time runs out the winner will be chosen by an audience vote.

Is it our boy's time?

>Jado/Gedo/Yano/Goto vs Taichi/Kanemaru/ZSJ/Suzuki (yawn but )
>Beretta/Ishii vs Fale/Omega (most excited for this, greg with the hebykyus)
>Kushida/Juice vs Hiromu/Naito (2nd most excited for this)

>Oka played punching bag, Nagata was Nagata, no PEITER no buys *1/2
>Finlay/War Machine are such a cool trio, if the NEVER titles weren't so nothing it'd be cool to see them have it, really hyped for the tag title match ***
>yawn, but I do like Yano finishes so **
>really cool match, I'm biased tho because Greg, Fale and Ishii are all in my faves list, do want more BerIshii tag matches ***
>hot hot hot super cool match, Hiromu and Naito need to tag more often, can't wait to see Naito vs Juice next G1 and really hyped to see Hiromu vs Kush Round 2 ***3/4

I'll watch the rest later but it's good stuff. I like these Road To shows tho so there's that. Suzuki Gun is a pretty lame though, even if ZSJ was okay in the match.

5 minute time limit then audience vote is fun.

Random question for the day. With a BJW show delayed broadcast in 2 days and Deathmatch Survivor in 4 what is the current best way to watch Samurai TV?

Just checked, he hasn't worked in W-1 since late January, and his last match was in K-DOJO in early February. He's still active on Twitter, posting pictures of himself and what he's doing.

Maybe he's taking a sabbatical. I'd muse if it's to build hype for a return later, but him being off FD4 kind of throws that off, since it's very likely he'd be on the card if he was available.

Semi-related, I think the only reason Kairi isn't on FD4 is her WWE contract. Shame, I would've thought she could wrestle some last dates like the CWC guys; Tozawa finished a whole tour before coming in.

Yoshino is returning on the 5/9 Korakuen show, which will be first day of King of Gate.

Matches announced for that show are YAMATO vs. Eita, Ben-K vs. T-Hawk, CIMA vs. Yamamura and Shingo vs. Mochi. Serious potential to be the best Korakuen show of the year thus far.

Doi vs. Yamamura, YAMATO vs. Big R and Shingo vs. Hulk confirmed for the 6/1 Korakuen show, all of which should be a blast. Seems like Yamamura is gonna have a really lovely run in this year's tournament.

Ben-K vs. Maria had better make tape or so help me god.

I guess this means DoiYoshi in Tag League as well?

Of course more data is always better, but total attendance is just about the best single data point there is. Average attendance per show actually tells you less since promotions on the ropes tend to run less shows and stick to their stronger buildings, while healthier promotions run more smaller venues which bring their average down.

>Kush/Rico vs Hiromu/Naito, Hiromu/Rico, Fale/Okada
>Tana/Evil
>Toyo Young Lions match
>Finlay/Cody
>all the rest
>Yoshitatsu

The "no medical evidence" bit is because even someone who totally gets rid of any potential cause for another subdural haematoma has a small risk (I saw 5-30% quoted in one article) of it just happening again. It is possible that any reoccurrence could be entirely random and that taking the same knock again wouldn't have an increased risk from the first time.

Bit of DG news. First up, the Hakata Starlanes card for 4/23 is out

>1. Don Fujii, Eita, Takehiro Yamamura vs. Masaaki Mochizuki, Jimmy Kagetora, Yuki Yoshioka
>2. Ryo “Jimmy” Saito vs. Yosuke♡Santa Maria
>3. YAMATO, Kzy, Flamita vs. Genki Horiguchi H.A.Gee.Mee!!, Jimmy Susumu, Draztick Boy
>4. T-Hawk, El Lindaman vs. Big R Shimizu, Ben-K
>5. Open the Twin Gate Championship Match: CIMA, Dragon Kid vs. Jimmy K-ness J.K.S., Jimmy Kanda
>6. Road to Dead or Alive Challengers vs. Challengers: Naruki Doi, BxB Hulk vs. Shingo Takagi, Cyber Kong

But what is more important is that DG has announced when Kobe World tickets will be going on sale. They'll be raffling off some tickets on 4/30 to fanclub members, who then get first dibs on ticket sales on 5/13. Tickets go on sale to the general public on 5/21. I imagine that the full lineup of events for that week will come later.

Wouldn't be surprised if it's the shortest. Loved it, though. Perfect execution of a 2-minute match.

I'm almost certain Kenny took 4 Rainmakers in the Dome. One was one of those half-Rainmakers where Okada just has the wrist clutched and clotheslines them without the ripcord, but you're counting those for the Shibata match so yeah, I think it's 4.

He had posts on his blog that had pics of them abusing the monkey. Kagetora was involved too, but he was cleared when his stuff was assumed an accident when he sprayed air freshener in the box the monkey was in. He said he didn't know Cora was in her box at the time.

AraKen was the whistleblower and YO-HEY was fired as well as another young dragon, but I don't remember where he wrestles. YO-HEY is working NOAH and Dove Pro now mainly. He does some of the skeezy Osaka based companies too with Naoki, who has taken some time away from DG to be closer to his family.

Tozawa was involved as well, but I think his stuff was let off the hook kinda like how Kagetora's was. I think Shingo didn't actually abused the monkey, he just had pics on his blog of when they caught her because she escaped her cage and got outside.

With YO-HEY, a lot of wrestlers have said that he has learned his lesson and he has grown up a little bit. He was hanging out with some of the DG guys too recently because they were/are in Osaka. Some of them have pics on their spora blogs too. DG had to fire him (obvs for the abuse), but also a lot of companies don't like having scandals and shit like that tarnish their reputation, and there was a lot of coverage here in the Western states when everything went public to get him fired. His name was Ryoma at the time. Google him and you see pages and pages of shit and petitions to get him fired. It was something they had to do.

Takayuki Ueki from BJW. His gimmick is that he's a cop that also wrestles and he keeps his piece in his singlet. That said, he's only a comedy guy about half the time. Hiromu is way too small to be a HW. He's gonna be the biggest JR since Liger though, I could see him main eventing some of the shows when their PPVs are split into two shows.

Okay so there isn't much news out of DG right now so I will instead go to Spora and sum up some stuff to give this thread some content

DG announced the June schedule, which is old news but here is a reminder of important stuff coming up then

>6/1 Korakuen
>6/4 Kobe
>6/10 and 6/11 Hakata (King of Gate finals)
>6/17 Kyoto (house show)

They also announced a list of homecoming shows. Notably absent on the list, even though the event is scheduled, is the Toyonaka event on June 26th. Tanizaki is nowhere to be seen on the announcement but he'll probably show up.

Outside of shows DG will also be making YAMATO run Body Adapt on May 1st, and I haven't ever been to Body Adapt so maybe he'll just be working the cash that day.

Also the Korakuen schedule for May is as follows
>5/1 Boxing
>5/2 Freedoms at 7 pm
>5/3 WAVE at 12 pm, NOAH at 6:30 pm
>5/4 WRESTLE-1 at 12:00, NOAH at 6:30 pm
>5/5 GUTS WORLD at 12 pm, J-NET Kickboxing at 5:30 pm
>5/6 Boxing
>5/7 All day dance meet
>5/8 Boxing
>5/9 DG at 6:30 pm
>5/10 DNA at 7 pm
>5/11 SEI ZA MMA at 6:45 pm
>5/12 Shooto at 6:30
>5/13 Kanto University Boxing League at 10:30 am
>5/14 Stardom at 12 pm, NJPW at 5 pm
>5/15 Boxing
>5/16 Boxing
>5/17 NJPW at 6:30 pm
>5/18 NJPW at 6:30 pm
>5/19 Boxing
>5/20 Shoten at 12:30 pm, RISE MMA at 6 pm
>5/21 AJPW at 12 pm, ZERO-1 at 6 pm
>5/22 NJPW at 6:30 pm
>5/23 NOAH at 6:30 pm
>5/24 SEAdLINNNG at 7 pm
>5/25 BJW at 6:30 pm
>5/26 Boxing
>5/27 Kanto University Boxing League at 10:30 am
>5/28 DDT at 12 pm, Krush at 6 pm
>5/29 NJPW at 6:30 pm
>5/30 Boxing
>5/31 Boxing

http://dai.ly/k5aWutWEWbVHyFmE7LU

The 4/23 show is happening in a couple of days and although it is on iPPV it is locked to Japan again. It's going to be an Infinity taping with the main event being a couple of tag teams as part of the Road to Dead or Alive.

Maybe saving Doering for later? KAI seems like a good defense for now, but once Kento matches the record for most Triple Crown defenses (10 by Kawada? I think) I think his next defense will be a big deal since he's right on that cusp while hitting most of the marks for an all-time great reign with the title (carried AJPW on his back, some of the most defenses, multiple awesome defenses, currently 5th-longest in the title's history, etc.). Miyahara vs Doering as Kento's 11th defense could be really huge.
