Thanks you fucking asshole. You were such a bitch ass for like YEARS about this. Auto stripping image exif data on sensitive boards would also be a stand-up chap thing to do.

The chan cultures are amongst the most robust in the past 10 years as far as online communities go. I believe and hope that, if you actually still care and decide to look honestly at the current culture and apply yourself towards its needs, you can uphold this place as a premier discussion point for eccentrics, experimenters, seekers, and even intellectuals, of all kinds.

I've also noticed that the menu bar at the top doesn't always stick to the top of the window like normal.

Also, previewing a post by hovering over it's number in a reply is hit or miss.

Never noticed the issues before, not sure if related.

Kirt, buddy, mate, I keep getting 503 errors. It's not bad, my posts don't get eaten or anything, but it's kind of annoying.

I dunno if that has anything to do with HTTPS, but I've never seen it until you dropped the HTTPS.

Kirt killed him in cold blood because he was getting too powerful. He was rerouting power through /h/ and /tinfoil/ and was getting Co fusing responses and his positronic matrix shorted out and fucked over the warp nacelles, the holodeck was pulling so much power due to INTERPOL's and Syn's erotic slave bandage fantasy recreations. Spunky came in at some point, but could even get hard, so he complained to Spardot. She shut that shit down so quick it would cause a Ferengi's head to spin, Batman crashed the Batmobile and Robin laid an egg.

You're comparing an archaic video player to a more efficient image format... IDK why. If your point is that no one is using them — hardly anyone was using WebM when it first came out, but now it's become an imageboard staple.

It'd be nice if 420chan could be ahead of the curve for once instead of constantly playing catch-up. Firefox has said they're bringing in WebP support, so I wonder when Kirt will finally buckle up and add it.... IE and Safari are probably the least used browsers on 420chan, are we really going to wait for Microsoft and Apple to get with the program?

I only implemented WebM because I was able to transcode them to also be available on iOS + Safari. Otherwise no support would have been added yet. Mobile Safari is by far the most used mobile browser here. And I use desktop Safari as much as I do Chrome.

This, most of 420chan's expense is bandwidth, and webp decreases that.
If the site converts to webp, cpu could be a limiting factor unless it does it when free, but that's added complexity.

Of course, most of 420chan's bandwidth is thumbs, and webp's gains are most suited to large images.
Also, small animated .gifs would use >2x the CPU to play.

When I open it on my mobile browser, it says "Some content is blocked. Risks of showing all"
The risks are:
boards.420chan.org contains content from providers who are not using a secure connexion. Personal information entered on this site may not be protected

Then when I want to learn more, it tells me:
The icon tells me that
-you can't visit the site using your BlackBerry browser because a certificate that the site is using to prove its identity has been revoked
-the site's private key might be lost or stolen
-the site might be using the certificate in a fraudulent manner
-a certificate authority may be compromised
A certificate authority is a trusted third party that issues and signs digital certificates.

Also, can you bring back the cat planet that turns "faggot" into "chicken nugget"

There's nothing wrong with the security certificate. Your faggy old browser can't digest the SHA-1024 hash correctly, because it is faggy and old. Get a phone made by a company that isn't defunct and try again.

Your work demands that you use an old outdated phone?

I ain't trying to be mean to you though. I understand money is tight, not everyone can afford to dish out $800 for the newest phone and all that shit. I paid like $40 for my phone and they threw in a free Amazon Firestick. AT&T treats me good... And they should, been a customer for 13 years. I should be getting free shit every year from them.

Yes, actually. All our IT shit is done through BlackBerry servers. Free phone, though.

The US Department of Defence still overwhelmingly uses BlackBerry phones for their security assignments and those who use Android / Apple phones store a lot of their sensitive documents on BlackBerry servers. So even if we switched to other phones, we'd be using a lot of BlackBerry services. I think Porsche also uses the BlackBerry software for their vehicle computers. I can't remember shit.
