Kirt's too busy getting into pointless arguments about web design on here than to actually implement QoL improvements.

that's exactly why we've been able to stay around as long as we have, they ruin every website they come into contact with

to be fair, all the boards are dead or on their last leg except for /woo/ and /h/. /woo/ is /woo/ and the other one is mostly just spam and begging.

Aren't they like MOST of the site? If they leave we'll be back to smoking weed on cam like prostitutes just to keep the place alive

but once AnonAccount comes out this will be the most popular chan so it doesn't even matter

>This is a blog and it r leet. Well I'll just say what I am thinking right now. I played a game called Ragnarok Online for the past 2 1/2 years and I've been playing on a server called Spyderlake since the beginning. I didn't know what I was doing when I played it in the summer of 2003, but it was fun none the less. Well then it was shut down due to some drama Kirtaner(server owner) was experiencing. So I went to play iRO for awhile. I fould out you could bot in Ragnarok so I started to do so. Well that was fun and all but it started getting boring with me in control of the economy. I had more money than I could ever want. So I stopped playing. Out of curiosity I went to spyderlake.com in my bookmark list. And I see that the server has barely been brought back. I was excited. The second I start playing I start to bot again. The rates are 4/4/4 so it was much easier to level. But with only about 50 people playing at that time, I was found out as a bot at level 61. So that account was banned by a GM called Astra. I made a new account and decided to actually play. Astra was cool though because she already knew that I made a new account and she let me play the game. In 2 days I was further than my bot could get. The server got about 200 people and then Kirtaner bought a new server. It went down for about a month and 1/2 and I would get bored. I decided in about august that I would make my own server while sRO was down. So I downloaded the server software and started it up. Eventually I had made GMs and there was about 30 people on it. I felt so good helping people, when I helped these people, it just happens one of the GMs I made (Konijn) worked at a hosting company. He hosted my server for about a week, then sRO came back and the uberness of my server died off. So I went back to playing on sRO. Then it happens one of my GMs I used to have became a GM on sRO. I was pissed off, they trusted her more than I did. I needed to become a GM to prove that I could. So I asked kirt for about a week and he finally made me a GM. I was really happy. But other people were not as happy. All they looked at me is the guy who botted and somehow became a GM. I started the job fine and even on the first day had a 4 man team PVP. Everyone was having a great time. The pvp event took 3 hours for just 8 teams. I was like "fuck that" so I no longer had any pvp events. And I didn't really want to stay in the game for much longer because it was annoying to answer the stupid questions people would ask. So I started up scripting NPCs/Events for the game. It was so much fun to work on something and see it's progress. After making a few scripts I started getting bored because there was a whole bunch of drama. See, Kirt was making money off the server by selling items in the game for money over paypal. The server coder Nimion threatened to leave if kirt didn't start to do work for the money. So kirt gave Nimion "creative control" over the server. I don't really like nimion though. Well anyway, I kept asking Nimion to put the scripts I had made live and he was like, "Once you test them". So I did and he still didn't put them in. He was almost always AFK too in the IRC channel. It was difficult to contact him. Finally about a week ago after Nimion pissed me off I posted, "I step down as GM, bye" and left the admin channel. Well not a couple of days later one of the scripters Dread and another called Pheonix messaged me asking about things such as "How the patch server works" and how to change the game client. I was like "uh ok" and helped them with this. About 2 days ago though......... The sRO server went down from what I was told. So I asked in the IRC channel what was up. Apparently Nimion deleted a whole bunch of shit in the sRO server so it would not work anymore, and then almost all the GMs but one left to this new server that I had a hand in making called lor-RO. Nimion made it so you could transfer your characters on sRO over to lor-RO. I wanted to see what the fuck was going on so I logged in this new server. I said something to some kid like, "Go play in traffic" because he said something stupid to me. Then my client exited to windows. I knew someone had just kicked me out of the game. So I went to log in to find myself banned. Well I went on IRC and had a talk with Dread. He told me that alot of people dislike me and don't want me to play. He also said if I wanted to be unbanned I would have to change my name. But he said that he wouldn't do it for a few days because I guess I am the talk of the server right now. That was about 6 hours ago. He said he would put a good word in for me at sRO because Kirtaner will need some help rebuilding the server. It's been down for a few days and it could be forever if he doesn't do something quick. I want to help, but I don't want to be a full GM who has to log in the game and shit. I could keep explaining everything in detail, but if I did it would probably be a book. Sigh. The thing that really pisses me off is alot of people in the sRO community hate me for some reason or another, like the time I told kirt about how monster crits are off by default so he changed the setting. Then everyone got on my case and shit like this one fag would I won't mention (Synbios) always talks shit about me because of the monster crits. Then other people hate me because I became a GM even though I botted, but I have been in the community of sRO for longer than anyone I assume. I am most certain that the other people are all from the new sRO (2004). If I become a GM again I would want to be at the top. I want access to everything the server has, I am sure with full access to the server I could fix the server when it goes down, or be leader of the GMs! I would be so happy :) . One thing I don't understand though it people online always seem to hate me, but almost everyone I meet in real life I can be friends with easily. Like the people in my computer class are all cool and shit and we hang out. Guess I will just let things go for awhile and watch what happens.

I mean Taimapedia failing was just because it filled a niche that was already filled. There wasn't a point making it. It's functionally very good, it's just that that sort of thing lives and dies on the number of users and outside of /wooo/ we have maybe a few hundred consistent regular posters or so (I don't know I just pulled that out of my ass.), so not enough people to maintain it and not unique enough of a service to really draw people in

I think most of his projects end up turning out at the very least ok

Taimapedia was fine for what it was, it served the communities purpose, until spambots fucked it so hard Kirt just took it down, I think that's more what people were referring to it with it failing rather than it not taking off and replacing erowid

I think Anon Account would even be SUPER OK. At least how I envisioned it (and admittedly, when it was spoken about, I was super fucked up on dissos all the time so I guess it sounded like some future shit). But I still want to see what he would do.

I just want to see an imageboard push the boundary of what a "chan" is really.

Like, put voluntary AnonAccount and add an archive. For the purists, maybe you could just have them go to "chan format" and it's stays just like it is today.

OR, you can click SUPERCHAN format, and it is all the same posts and people, but for those who are using the SUPERCHAN, they make a simple login, maybe even have a profile and posts history on their page and user comments would be kinda funny, and they can see all the other anonaccounts and posts from them with their account name on the post rather than just their ID (as the chan format posters would see), whenever they're logged in.
But if you aren't logged in and don't want to bother with any of it, just go to regular chan format all that stuff is hidden and the chan appears just as it does now.

It's both! It's like having your cake and eating it at the same time! ! !! !! ! ! !!
