I just picked up All Star Batman #1. The art for Two-Face is fucking amazing. I liked the twist of Alfred having such a big secret that he was willing to betray Bruce to To-Face in order to keep it hidden. I wonder what skeletons are in Alfie's closet...

RIP the old thread, it lasted 16 months.

Whats the Comic-Fans opinion on the Joker Movie?

I only started reading the Joker-Comics now,
but whats a Batman-Comic-fans opinion on the Joker-movie?

Didn't the Joker appear to be too low IQ somehow? Not like a crazy planning mastermind, but rather a sociopath who is angry because hes a loser who laughs all the time?

It wasn't a bad movie imho, but it was a bad Joker-movie.
Or am I wrong?

So just spotted this on Marvel's facebook. Looks like a teaser for a teaser. Probably an event or short series that will come after Inhumans vs X-Men.

The name spells good news for Mutants, I would say.
Tbh, I often wonder if Marvel intentionally leaked that rumor about them shunting off Mutants to their own universe because they were considering it and wanted to gauge fan reactions to the idea. Don't think anyone responded well so now they're backpedaling and making the Mutants not practically fuckin extinct (Xtinct?)

Any fans of Sam Kieth's amazing work on The Maxx?

I think it's one of the most underrated and brilliant comic book series of all time and although he currently is back... In a crossover with Batman[/spoiler[, should be brought back with a new story. Maybe something else, a new "Outback", like attached to another trauma or area of his mind... Opiate addiction would be interesting.

What do you guys think? The Maxx with a needle in his arm. I mean, it makes sense. Opiates do make you feel Godlike and his story, whatever it may be COULD/WOULD work as something dreamed when he nods out after a shot, or where he goes when he's high. An unstoppable person that is adored and worshipped by man when he's high, a fucking low life street junkie with no hope when he's sober... Then there's the whole withdrawal aspect. I want to write it myself, but how in the fuck would I get Sam Kieth on board for a new Maxx... Or new character in the Maxx universe... Or "outback", if you will...

I need a team of artist, stat. Yeah right. But honestly, thoughts? General Maxx appreciation gladly accepted.

Finally checked this out after seeing too many interesting posts ITT. Seems very cool, I'll be slowly chipping away at it over 2020, been trying not to binge comics anymore and instead trying to make older series last a while.

Is there anywhere we can check for orders, patents, any sneaky way of finding out if any toy company is going to be putting out a Maxx/Batman figure collections?

Where,would one start?

Check with major toy companies, ones that work/have worked with DC obv. if you want the batman figures. If you contact them they might send you a catalogue detailing their production plans. That's how I'd do it.

Jonathan Hickman taking over X-men comics

Jonathan Hickman is returning to Marvel comics as the head X-Men writer, being given two concurrent series akin to how his X-Men and Fantastic Four runs were released. Color me hyped, Marvel comics have sucked since him and Remender quit to work at Image. Remender has kept busy since then, but Hickman kind of vanished off the map, so I'm glad to see him reemerge. Hickman's old Avengers and Secret War event felt like the last time this board seemed to give a fuck about ongoing Marvel comics.

The Drifting Classroom is a manga set in a post-apocalypse world, probably the best manga I've ever read (not that many though). It's pretty old (1974) so it doesn't suffer from the typical weeaboo shit that's so common these days.

If superhero comics are your thing there's a bunch of DC and Marvel books set in a post-apocalyptic setting I can list.

I haven't read comics since 2011

Injustice Gods Amongst Us
Spider-Verse and Superior Spider-Man
Superior Foes of Spider-Man
Vision
Moon Knight by Jeff Lemire
Hawkeye
The Wicked + the Divine
and maybe Secret Wars, Civil War 2 and DC Rebirth

What else should I check out?

Capes are ded. I want stories about things I can't even imagine made real and important.

Periodicals are ded. Alan Moore was about 40 years ahead of his time, or rather, developed and made his time for everyone else to waste.

Anyone have a good reading order for getting into Venom/Carnage stories? For spiderman, I've read the first 50 issues by OG Stan Lee, the bendis run of Ultimate Spidey. I also read a bunch of Dan Slott's spiderman but it sucked besides the parts where Otto was the new spidey. So I've never really understood who/what Venom was. I barely even remember that old Spiderman movie where he had the black suit that im pretty sure was venom

Thinking of making my own panel cartoon

I have never made a cartoon but here's the gist :
So what if the entire universe was just a simulation that was nothing more than the project of a god/deity figure but this god figure is still a little kid and all of this is just his school project. I'd give him an F. It would explain a lot.

I think this would be a great idea to draw a panel cartoon for. What do you guys think?

Hell, just do it and see if it works or not.
You could turn a great idea into trash and a trash idea into gold by execution and timing.
I mean supermegacomics read like they were made by a drunk trashman exclusively on thrown out equipment found in garbage bins, and all the comics are just pure distilled nonsense.
But it's charming, and whenever I remember it I have a lookthrough and some giggles.
>TL;DR
Just give it a shot. Doesn't matter if the idea is good or not, it's all in the execution.
