Why do Comics need Ads in them?

Why do so many comics come without ads
while others are riddled with huge distracting, full-page-ads, in the middle of the comics!

...and people asky why cleaned comic-scans exist!

Worst thing is, you can't see if there are ads in the comic-books, since most are sold sealed nowadays!

What's even more annoying is when they leave the ads in the scans.

I've seen a couple where they put ads in the middle of the comic and screw up a double page splash panel.
Fucking editors, man, they literally get paid to do NOTHING.

topKEK, example? This sounds too funny to believe.

From memory, a few issues of Hulk when Dale Keown was art jolly african-american.
I just undid the staples and removed the ads. I don't care if it reduced the value, that shit was retarded.
What was worse was Strikeback, the old Kevin Maguire creator-owned book, which in its original run was printed one page forward because of ads, wrecking several double page splash panels and a few fancy page layouts.
The second printing from another company actually advertised itself with the tagline "This time we're doing it right!" lol.
Or there's those two pages from Tank Girl's second series that are always out of order. Never been fixed, even when they went back and coloured the fuckers.
Or Marshall Law: Cape Fear, which had the speaks bubbles from one page appear on the wrong page. Even in the TP, you'd think someone would fix that in the collection, don't you?
Fucking editors, you start to see why they make such poor decisions as regards talent and continuity? Because they don't read their own cunting books.
Now guys like Archie Goodwin, Julie Schwartz, Cat Yronwode, Ann Nocenti, they would have caught shit like that before it went to press, let alone REPRINTS, because they were pros. Now we got fanboys who sucked a lot of dicks running the show and arsing it all up.
Hell, Blaire Wentworth would have caught it, and she wasn't even real!

A few decades ago they even had shit like this in softcover books. Real old school classics with ads how you should join a record club.
