I figured he was gonna do something non-avatar for his next big project, but I didn't expect a graphic novel. I know he does the basic plot outline for the atla trilogy comics but his own dedicated graphic novel sounds very interesting. gonna suck waiting till 2017 though.

I'll check anything the Avatar crew do down the line. Such a special, unique series. I hope new Aang comics are impending. And any word on if Korra is coming ti comics?

They confirmed in an AMA that there will be Korra comics at some point but there hasn't been any mention of it since. The next Aang comic is Smoke and Shadow part 1 in September. It probably wont be over till 2016, and then we might get some news on Korra.

Even though I'm excited for this, I just hope this won't turn out to be some masturbatory nonsense for the tumblr crowd.

If you're talking about korra and asami. I honestly want them to elaborate on their relationship. They never properly built up to it in the show and I was mad with how badly and soap-operaey they handled the romance aspect of tlok in general. Amnesia? seriously? Fucking lord. But Aang and Katara's relationship was handled tastefully in the dark horse comics so I'm not too worried here. I'm just excited to see more of the spirit world, and crossing my fingers to finally see the Fire Nation in Korra's time.

Interesting start, I was hoping to see more of the ozai loyalists from the free comic book day issue. And it seems Azula has been talking to her half sister in secret. Makes sense, she probably can't handle talking to Zuko or Ursa yet. Next issue should be out by the end of the month, and the final issue in april.

Good chapter, though I could do with less of the relationship drama. I just wanna know who Firelord Izumi's babymomma is idgaf about the angst. Everything else was interesting so I don't mind too much. Especially that ending, with the rest of the chapter you could tell what was gonna happen several pages before it did, but that came out of nowhere.

After watching Korra, I'm convince that he is good at world-building but suck at the story telling. Think Ed Greenwood or George Lucas.

It's 2017 now. Where's the comic?
