So that's what that is. Uh. I could tell the anime starting with the previous generation looked different, but I didn't know what it was called. And while I did like Naruto and Bleach, I mostly feel the same way. I don't think I can name a current anime that isn't Boku no Hero Academia (does One Piece still count?), and none of what I've glimpsed at looks remotely interesting. That's fine. As for today's anime I would argue that today's anime has much more variety since the 80's in terms of storylines and art styles. The 80's and older animations focused heavily on simplistic shading and painted background cells. Which helped give it a unique feeling to it. But I would argue that the SFX and even the production values do not hold up well today. Just like how today's 3D is not going to hold a candle to future anime that will do it correctly. Besides Judging today's anime is no different than someone who complains about Slim HDTV's taking over CRT and is a cheap shot overall. >> Hedda Gonnerpat - Sun, 14 Mar 2021 08:33:50 EST 75Y4G3Dh No.3696 Reply >>2433pacing maybe >> Nigel Sodgesten - Fri, 16 Apr 2021 18:46:40 EST IPnq1F7q No.3745 Reply 1618613200921.jpg -(700304B / 683.89KB, 1000x1416) Thumbnail displayed, click image for full size. >>24333DCG is getting better though.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bgo9dJB_icwSlowly... >> Eliza Pammlesidge - Fri, 04 Jun 2021 08:04:01 EST QfPhMbqo No.3795 Reply 1622808241925.webm [mp4] -(6240682B / 5.95MB, 640x360) Thumbnail displayed, click image for full size. >>2433You shouldn't >> Alice Smallcocke - Sat, 05 Jun 2021 00:54:59 EST uzHojd2g No.3797 Reply 1622868899808.png -(327946B / 320.26KB, 457x560) Thumbnail displayed, click image for full size. Anime producers being cheap uuman trash is why we have bad anime. It's why art school grads and hardcore fans fuck up and draw shitty scenes. Anime studios and workers need to be treated with respect, no matter what the medium is. If we're switching to 3D, start studying video games and have those animators teach classes.
