How smart are pigs really? I'm trying to decide if pigs are smart enough that I should stop eating them. Does anyone know how much research has been done on the subject? All I've seen is a few youtube videos of a couple pigs solving childlike puzzles, but it's not so much evidence that they couldn't just be getting lucky... But I want to know for sure. 29 posts and 6 images omitted. A few years ago my mom brought in this stray, it had been declawed and she has always been as fat as she looks like in this picture. It's hard to tell in the pic but her tail is kind of stubby. I can't get her to hold still long enough to take a picture but when you see her from the side she is also kind of box shaped. She's also tough as hell having been mauled by dogs twice several times by other cats and one time tried to jump up on to a bunk bed, missed , and fell landed on her back and then went and tried it again. 11 posts omitted. I once had a goldfish View Thread Reply Hide Martha Blebblewudge - Thu, 07 Jan 2016 22:24:24 EST SDd0S7Hf No.32469 File: 1452223464563.jpg -(31962B / 31.21KB, 1200x675) Thumbnail displayed, click image for full size. It was sick/retarded so I had to give it medicine I got from the pet-shop. The medicine was a blue liquid. I kept it in a bowl, not a fish bowl, but a spacious see-through normal bowl. My mother flushed it down. This was in the 1st-2nd grade. >> Reuben Geddlesick - Sat, 09 Jan 2016 17:23:12 EST UycFrZtH No.32474 Reply >>32469I had a hamster once. We were at the pet shop looking at them, trying to pick which one we should get. One was running on the wheel, and another stuck his head in, and got bashed in the head by the bars of the wheel. Repeatedly. We brought him home and called him Einstein. He died that night and we found his corpse in the morning. We never found out what killed him. >> Hamilton Drindledock - Sat, 09 Jan 2016 19:49:14 EST SDd0S7Hf No.32476 Reply Yeah... me & my family had really bad luck with pets. We also had a bunch of canary birds. There was several of them in different colours like green and blue. This was before I got the goldfish. When we were moving out of our house we were walking to the pet shop at the mall to give them away. We transported them in a box but we accidentaly dropped the box and someone nearly rode over it with a bicycle. I think it was then it also accidentaly opened and they all flew out. Shortly after we became indifferent and when we drove past the mall later we saw a couple of them fly and people was surprised. Maybe they died. It wasn't winter but it could have been spring or late summer.
