How smart are pigs really?

I'm trying to decide if pigs are smart enough that I should stop eating them. Does anyone know how much research has been done on the subject? All I've seen is a few youtube videos of a couple pigs solving childlike puzzles, but it's not so much evidence that they couldn't just be getting lucky... But I want to know for sure.

I know 3 vegans and they're incredibly healthy. I don't think it is because they don't eat meat i think it is because they cook very good and have a varied kitchen. Meat can be removed from your diet but i don't want to do it, i don't think it's wrong. But that's another discussion

Man, sometimes I see jumping spiders on my driveway, in effing California. I don't even know how those fuckers got here or if they're just an unrelated species that figured out hey, I'm tiny and I can fucking dip by bouncing.

I'd catch one but they're far too free to be captive to my whims.

Why train a crow when you can trail Hitler, an already well-trained crow.

Hitler never actually died, that was a conspiracy. I mean, haven't you noticed the striking similarites between Edward Snowden and Hitler? Yes Hitler was defeated so he changed his mind and decided to help bring the NSA down (but failed)

A few years ago my mom brought in this stray, it had been declawed and she has always been as fat as she looks like in this picture. It's hard to tell in the pic but her tail is kind of stubby. Also she seems to be kind of retarded sometimes she shits next to the litter box instead of in it. And she does not meow like a normal cat, instead she sort of squeaks. I can't get her to hold still long enough to take a picture but when you see her from the side she is also kind of box shaped.

She's also tough as hell having been mauled by dogs twice several times by other cats and one time tried to jump up on to a bunk bed, missed , and fell landed on her back and then went and tried it again.

It was sick/retarded so I had to give it medicine I got from the pet-shop. The medicine was a blue liquid. I kept it in a bowl, not a fish bowl, but a spacious see-through normal bowl. My mother flushed it down.
This was in the 1st-2nd grade.

I had a hamster once. We were at the pet shop looking at them, trying to pick which one we should get. One was running on the wheel, and another stuck his head in, and got bashed in the head by the bars of the wheel. Repeatedly. We brought him home and called him Einstein. He died that night and we found his corpse in the morning. We never found out what killed him.

Yeah... me & my family had really bad luck with pets. We also had a bunch of canary birds.
There was several of them in different colours like green and blue. This was before I got the goldfish. When we were moving out of our house we were walking to the pet shop at the mall to give them away. We transported them in a box but we accidentaly dropped the box and someone nearly rode over it with a bicycle. I think it was then it also accidentaly opened and they all flew out. Shortly after we became indifferent and when we drove past the mall later we saw a couple of them fly and people was surprised. Maybe they died. It wasn't winter but it could have been spring or late summer.

I don't think that guy was arguing that they don't feel pain.
