That's awesome! You have a white banana, though. Not that there's anything wrong with that. You should make it blue, or something. That'd be kind of cool imo.

i think you would benefit most from a stronger understanding of perspective, it stands out the most in your images. as just an example of how it could be done different, pic related is my redline, but thats just how i would handle it. i decided on 1 point perspective for the hallway and 2 point for everything outside of it but chunking it is really up to artist interpretation. the important thing to take away is just that parallel lines end on a point called vanishing point. i recommend something like drawabox, or more traditionally 'perspective made easy' to get a more basic idea of how to make scenes feel more solid. on the floor i used a strategy i learned from loomis's figure drawing for all its worth which i think is interesting and a great tool for making tiles on floors/ceilings

tldr i took a snip of skin and then put it under the microscope and thought thats cool.. so yep skin tag under a microscope

its kinda cool and morbid the top right it bruised skin the blood that pokes through my lack of skin color seems to be like clear as you look down the slightly torn bit.. the blue i think comes from the light that illuminates the slide.. so that blue .. i dunno its just the light and my skin appears to be right for it
i got into a bike related accident while cruising some trails and thought.. well that aint going to heal right.. so i cut the skin that was just sorta hanging there..

i think that some might like this.. lots of interesting people

I kinda always wanted to learn (drawing/painting), but haven't ever really made the real step to start. Figure if I don't at this point I never will, so I should give it a shot.

But to my point/query, what resource(s)/starting point would you recommend to a complete beginner? I have no idea where to start, what books might suck or be good, etc.

I'm just drawing different, shapes(starting with cubes and becoming more complex over time) in various orientations to get 3d exercises and other than that I always have a sketchbook with me and just draw people/houses etc.
Learn breaking down objects into basic shapes, and then worry about shading or structures later. Painting is more about watching than the actual painting process itself.

The "Draftsmen"-Podcast on youtube is pretty good, with some solid advice on how to get better, but its mainly for people who want to paint on a professonal level.
At first you learn to draw what you see, then you'll learn the underlying structures and how to detect them(gesture/anatomy/etc.) then you can draw what you want basically.

Also pencil makes you not think and erase a lot, I just sketch/paint with ink so I put more thought into the lines and also learn to draw solid lines all the time.

pic is one of my shitty canvases

I would like to see a picture drawn of this character stripping her costume off. A brown fringe cut and an addition of blue eyes would be good too.

Also, if you're tempted to fuck around with Toluene, please don't. Please, it will give you an experience, but homeless folks have been found quite alone and dead with the solvent in their system. Also let's say I know someone who's suffering with effects that have popped up years later after using.

With this out the way, I have completely dropped solvents from my rotation, and I've picked on playing with hydrophillic/phobic shit with plain cooking oil such as vegetable or canola, along with a bar of Dial brand soap, a coffee can of water, etc. I'm able to really fling paint around and get super messy and have good oil painting sessions out back on the patio. Also, I've dropped toxic pigments, (cadmium salts are fucking FUCKING BEAUTIFUL) but I smoke tobacco almost constantly and can't be bothered to keep hands washed in front of the canvas.

I once used low-odor mineral spirits, but eh, honestly, I just like the new soap method I happened across. I have to small orange canvases, painted primarily with D&R oils, with some W&N zinc or titanium white, and the canvases did dry firmly after about one to two weeks.

i wanted to add sth. more towards your question op. i agree with you.
kids dont do the things theyre being told, but they do what they see. they learn about the world and meaning of symbols by seeing and imitating. kids will and do aim to be what they see, especially if those animated girls show friendship, belonging, fun, caring etc etc. and if these desirable traits are connected to a certain visuals, theyll imitate that behaviour, look and so on too. so thats some more than just trashy „art“. just like monster high dolls, those mutilated sex girls, bratz shallow fashion lifestyle shells, and alike props carve in certain values at a very moldable age. every honk knows big titties, small waist and big hips are sexual cues, how is that related to childrens processing? basically this pic is porn for kids made by adults.

i wish neuro pathways, the longetivity of the subconcious and how we adults functioned as a kid would be more generally known and shit like that would be recognized as trojan horses.
