Here's a character design I'm working on for an RPG I'm also making. What do ya think? Too skimpy?

Lets be honest here, its a good drawing, but it isnt anything special. the colours are good, but its digital so they should be, the hair is very lacklustre. the costume is pretty good, skimpy as hell, you could tone it down a bit if you ask me, but its a somewhat original design and or you've plucked your favourite bits from other characters.

But yeah, very "13 year old male", but its a good drawing, keep it up!

I feel if you want to improve, go over some of the details a little more, maybe use a more variation of colour in rather than just using the same colour, for example if you look at a table it isnt just the same shade of brown the whole way through, it has darker and lighter elements in it, so if you add some different darker elements to your shadow and different light elements to the clothing exposed by light you might see a rapid improvement in how it looks.

I hope thats helped :)

If we're giving advice
OP whenever I shade, I never do a solid color like you did. I pick solid black, turn the opacity wayyyy down to around 10, and then do a broad sweep over areas that need it. Then I layer it up, building. After that, I blend it all (shadows get their own layer).

Is there anything else you feel op could improve upon?

I approve, but I'm a terrible pervert.

The hands themselves are "ok", but the wrists are fucked. I can't tell if OP traced this or not. No shame in tracing for practice. But the wrists look fucked and flat and have no depth or feeling to them. They look like bizarre rubber falsies.

honestly, i'm kind of tired of seeing female characters with skimpy clothes that provide no purpose or protection

for some reason I think the fully clothed and geared-up rogues in Pathfinder and DnD are kind of sexy

maybe make the mages skimpy or something

what kind of rogue has no tools or weapons for stabbing anyways , it looks okay to me tho

I've seen naked women sleight of hand things out of thin air.

Actually she was a stage magician and probably hid it all inside her body cavities.

Gonna be honest, never been a fan of skimpy outfits unless done well.

I don't know what character this is. Like, what role does she hold in the RPG? When designing characters, you have to tell a story with their body language, their actions, their clothing. It's not only skimpy, it's a confusing message.
Say if there were slightly more clothing (just slightly you don't have to change everything), and an addition of another piece of armour or a weapon belt, that would tell more. Accessories are your friend. So far, I'd guess that she was from a desert climate? And that's me pulling straws, with the neck that could be used to cover the face, and the sandy and muted colours.
I like assymetry, and I like what you did with the leggings/arm. You've got potential here, and I think if you put a bit more time in it you could come out with a super solid character design, but imo right now it's lacking a little.

it looks suitable if the rpg involves a lot of sex

if he left the leggings, arm cloth and the armor he has now, and just covered the rest of her up with like leather armor and gave her a tool belt, than it'd be pretty rogue-y, i think

I like it. She needs a vagina laser she can fire
