I made this over the course of a few weeks, but i made sure to only work on it when I was high as a kite, drunk, or on any other sort of drugs, just as long as I wasn't sober.

Post creations you have made while under the influence!

man everything I do is under the influence. be it high or drunk.

but uh for the sake of contribution here's something recent I did when I was too high to just sit and think about things, I had to distract myself.

mind you I am horrible with bodies.

I did this one last time I dropped acid, don't know if I should be pleased with it or not..

On the far right there's a cosmological bird or something, which I think was the main theme I started out with. The stuff to the left of the bird are some aspects of the universe being brought into being.
At least I think so.. I can't remember what went through my head back then.

I haven't done much visual art while altered- or, actually scratch that. I'm just remembering that most of the time I was in any of my art classes, I was pretty fucked up some way or another.
Let's see- this one was on amphetamines

This one is from my DXM days.

I made it during work at a Foundry/Machine Shop on a scrap of cardboard I found laying around.

I may have been sober or lightly buzzed on something. But I was thinking about DXM the whole time.

Looks like it'd be really cool if you like, nailed it to some gnarly plank of wood- with like, a rusty, exaggerated nail, with the head really wide and warped and the nail bent down a bit- and then hung it on your wall. You know, somewhere you'd otherwise put a poster or something.
Pic is technically related to thread- a friend of mine drew this awful picture in an art class we had senior year. I was on DXM- not that he knew- and it struck me as profound. Profoundly ridiculous, at least. So I took the drawing, scanned, polarized, and emboldened it in PS- to be printed out on iron-on sheets, with which to make hoodies. And make hoodies, we did. My little brother still wears it to school sometimes- knowing well that nobody will understand the humor of it.

somewhere in between. I'm never totally sober and I don't always get super baked, sooo. If I'm really baked, I tend to dwell on the tiny details way too much and end up cluttering my drawings with needless detail.

I think weed makes me really creative. That said, sometimes I get too stoned to do really careful detail work. I use weed to research forms, shapes and color combos and then when I'm more sober make full designs.

(2/3) This one started as tracing the wavy lines that I could see on the blank paper, turned into an upside-down sun and what I interpreted to be the reflections of that sun, then became a hand/octopus/cthulu. I don't know what I intend for it to be, I usually ask people what they see.

(3/3) Wasn't tripping nearly as hard for this one. Started out with me wanting to use something other than a pen, and the only other utensil on-hand was a pink highlighter. Drew some curves, thought it looked a lot like cotton candy, and finished it. It took me a really long time to draw the eyes the way I wanted to.

anyway I doodled this during the critique, I brought it into photoshope and just changed the light value so it was just black and white, didnt want those gray overtones from the camera.

thanks, I really appreciate your opinion on it. It started off with a very geometric look to it, and as I began shading it I just let loose and did whatever felt right, or natural. Its amazing how ordered and bound the natural world is, even though it appears to be completely random to us.

>>47529
I love stuff like this, its so nice to draw without any direction or end goal in mind. I'm always interested in the first lines with things like this, because the entire piece seems to propagate from a single line or shape (thats usually how it is for me anyways). Where did you start with this?

I like that rock as well. It looked sort of like a dong in the thumbnail, but it reminded of some megalithic stone old civilizations would use for something, lol.

I love filling pages with lines. To me, it seems like i mostly use basic shapes, but the end result is never the same. Eyeballs are another thing i like. I'm not sure why, but i lub dem eyeballses.

This is not ofcourse mine, but I just had to post this. Got it with Pink Floyd's Dark side of the moon vinyl album, some 40 year edition. Included was 2 other, larger posters (this one is 50x50) which are cool as well and 1 large stick with the prism and 2 smaller ones.

Gonne buy a frame for this one atleast, because I think that looks fucking great.

Honestly man it doesn't take much time at all to learn. All I did was upload a half-finished drawing ( >>47718) to Photoshop & copy / paste a city in the bg. Used liquify on the skyscraper, then rotated the hue with a heat map. Don't remember what tool lets you drag splotches of it to get that stalactite look but it's easy enough to find. I don't even have Photoshop or Illustrator, usually have to sneak into the Uni computer labs.

You can get by alright with the free programs. Made this using paint / pixlr / picmonkey / photobucket

Just 4,000hrs in ms paint & filters from sites like picmonkey / photobucket

Made this one a few minutes ago chopping up an old drawing of mine.. have yet to add any effects or anything, sometimes I think I go a little overboard with the saturation & film grain etc.

They actually seem to have very expressive faces. And the third eye imaginery speaks to me on a spiritual level
