I’ve been making some schizoid collage postmodern pieces. Nothing special just thought I’d dump a few here for opinions

Yeaa I was kinda realizing how lame the others were as I uploaded them after the first. The samurai one had a way cooler version, basically the same but pic related in the background, but sadly I only saved the ‘beta’

They're good but what you did is just too deliberate. The appeal of the imagery you used comes mostly from it's incidentallness and deep irony. Theese are good and fun to look at don't get me wrong but I feel like you just took away the core appeal of the symbols you used

I think you're onto something OP, especially with the form factor of the images. maybe you should do some using the instagram dimensions too?

I think the more you do the more you'll figure out how you want to compose the images, i do see the underlying themes but i feel like they could be communicated better, like even if in the america one you used more red white and blue or something?

Yea the op pic is definitely the best one I made. Looking at all of em at once makes me feel like the America one is too preachy and the baby one isn’t coherent enough

Thanks for the feedback guys

I like it for the most part OP I'd call it Dada before postmodern though.

It’s more of a notion I’m trying to capture than something I can easily articulate. I’m young and my ideas are still forming and I’m still filled with conflicting interests. I like the idea of spiritual and primitive imagery made from media. Sort of like a cave painting in an age of constant chaotic and evolving media, advertisement, and entertainment that is in the long run forgettable that will probably all blend together as one clump of worthless shit that will no longer apply to anyone in a history book. Not like I won’t be forgotten, I just feel like it’s a weird cry for help. Idk that sounds pretentious as I read it but whatever it’s how I feel. There’s an element of paranoia too, the anxiety in this huge Japanese game show of a virtual culture. I really took inspiration from one the paranoids on here I see from time to time, the dude that has all of the Christian imagery made from Chinese stock images. A sort of panicked mockery of the sinister and manipulative crap you willingly fill your head with, which is way worse and noticeable in China (and possibly coming from it and every other greedy motherfucker who’d like to enslave us and make the beautiful west ugly)
Idk man, most of this I’m only realizing as I write it

this is a cool website and it is fun to navigate! The only thing that seems off is the sentence in the attached picture. Maybe it is missing a word, or my english is bad, or is supposed to be like that. The fonts are beautiful, and I especially like reading the binchotan and luxeon ones. I am not a good critic because I can not explain why I like what I do; all I know is that the icons and patterns also look very good to me. There are so many patterns and they all make my eyes happy! I think all those pattern lines are different, and that would be amazing! I appreciate you sharing your toolkit. That lists good programs that I want to remember and try using too. In the miscfolio section, I like the thing that stays at the top with the rabbit to go home, and I appreciate how it is small and not distracting. Also in that section, I like the photo of the screen; it took me a long time to figure out that it looks like three people in that photo because the pixels are grainy. but I like pictures like that. This is all very cool; good job

Looks like you took a shit on a piece of paper, microwaved it for 5 mins on max setting, then you removed it from the microwave puke on it and put back in the microwave for another 5 mins on max setting. >>53117
