You wouldn't have happened to have heard of some dumb shit called "zentangles," would you?

It's a "style" of art in which the patterns and such have literally been copyrighted, and you have to take an official class to become a teacher to teach dumb saps to draw it, or buy a licensed book from an official instructor who themselves paid large sums of money to be able to use the art style for profit of any sort.

Anyway, it's done exactly how you're doing your art. You just draw a bunch of random lines and then fill in the empty spaces between them with different patterns. Someone bought me a book about it, and it was kind of interesting, but I was super turned off by the dumb marketing aspect of it. Like who the fuck copyrights a drawing style?

Nope, I've ever heard of it. This is just something I do in my spare time but it's really dumb that they have tried to copyright creativity

Ever done the one where you draw various sharp polygons of varying sizes, separated with a thin white space in between?

looks like negative shattered glass, it's one of my faves.
this shit, got me through the two hellish years of high school that I lasted.

I haven't but I will have to try it. and yeah this stuff is the best therapy I have found. I started after someone suggested art as a way to help relax over on /qq/
attached is the first one I ever did which honestly saved my life
