If they invented a drug or a treatment or something that would completely erase your sense of fear, would you take it? If so, what would you do afterwards, and how do you think it would go?

Well what else am I to call him? Slight apprehension monkey? Of course, I guess if you're insecure in your manhood enough, you could also call him a tactical fear monkey.

Yeah there's people with a damaged part of their brain who can't sense fear. Scientists kind of question the validity of their claims so in a hilarious fashion they decided to stick them in a room and suffocate them. Take that you fucking idiots.

Turns out that fear is a bit more complicated and it's not one emotion but multiple ones. A cursory read on the matter indicates that there's multiple types of fear (not to be confused with phobia) so like you can get a existential dread at a funeral which is one type of fear, while in the process of actually dying and being aware of it (i.e suffocating) is another.

I remember reading up on the phenomena known as the "call to void" where people looking over the edge of a cliff have an instinct to jump off. Apparently it's not that they want to jump off, but subconscious is so afraid of the thought that it conjures up the scenario in their head so it knows how to specifically avoid it and causes you to take a few steps back and instinctively look around you and acknowledge the weather, if it's windy - all subconsciously. Pretty fascinating.

If there was a drug to eliminate fear, I'd probably ask that cute chick that works at the store to a date, then bludgeon her to death as I'd have no fear of the consequences. C'est la vie.
