Lentil Burgers

Enjoy it.
For patties~
1 cup dried green lentils, soaked over night and then boiled for 10 minutes in 3 cups of water and drained well
Oil for frying
2 carrots, finely chopped
2 onions, peeled and finely chopped
4 cloves garlic, peeled
260g/9ozs. mushrooms, finely chopped
1 cup almonds, roasted and finely processed
2 chia eggs* (or flax eggs or 2 eggs if you're vegetarian)
1 cup breadcrumbs, finely processed
2 tablespoons vegan Worcestershire sauce
3 teaspoons mustard
2 teaspoons sugar
2 teaspoons ground cumin
2 teaspoons salt (I used chilli salt)
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1-1.5 cups red lentil flour

I hate lentil burgers, I think they taste too much like beans. Maybe I didn't taste lentil burgers of the highest quality. But I don't get why people hate the heavily industrialized modern plant based patties we have today. They're probably pretty unhealthy since they're very processed, but it's junk food, it's supposed to be unhealthy! I think that these plant based patties are the real deal

You can substitute almost anything for the lentils. Use cauliflower rice, any bean, looks like even cream style corn would probably work. Also any grain would probably work like rice. Sub the lentil flour for almost any flour, even white flour, but probably not almond flour because the texture would be off-putting.

lentils are a great poor fridges choice but even i have limits. they do not belong in a burger!!!
