dude I've never seen a cat wake up groggy. they'll yawn like maybe once and stretch and then they're 100% awak. I think humans take so long to get going cause our brains are so damn big.

I've seen my cat wake up groggy. It's really cute. She usually waddles over from her spot on the sofa, plops down on me, and falls right back asleep. Seeing her try to keep her eyes open makes me want to cry because she's so cute.

Cats require 16 hours of sleep. It is possible that many cat owners are pestering or preventing their cats from getting this necessary amount of sleep. Cat won't be able to tell you to not wake them up, they often just love you and get stimulated easily, but the truth is that you should let them wake up on their own accord.
