yeah it's probably because you're a bigger guy or you got hella tolerance or both but I knew a guy who felt just fine from a combo of ativan, xanax, and beer and fell over dead. I'm serious. I can't suggest the combination.

Do you drink alcohol regularly? You might also have a cross-tolerance.

I think weight plays a big part as a 200lb guy, I used to feel the effects alot more when I was lighter even with a higher tolerance on top of that.

with tolerance (dosing once a week or once every two weeks)I need like 70mg for decent buzz without alcohol. I don't drink or do any other drugs so there's no tolerance. I only drink sometimes when i want to feel the benzo more

heavy reporting in, I'm around 230 lbs and I have always had a huge cross-tolerance due to naturally high booze tolerance

providing I don't drink or use other drugs at the same time, how much diazepam can one safely take anyhow?

An almost indefinite amount. I don't know exactly but I think it's in the order of grams even without tolerance.

damn, does tolerance really build up even if only using once a week?

Abso-fucking-lutely. It seems to even with short acting benzos let alone one with the half life of diazepam.

Long term? Probably no more than every 10 days minimum (one dose no redosing) for super short acting benzos like triazolam or midazolam, around every 14 or so days for short-medium duration benzos like etizolam and xanax, between every 14-21ish days for long duration benzos like ativan, and 14-28 days between use for very long duration benzos like clonazepam and diazepam.

Everyone is different though, and by tolerance gain I mean like taking valium every 2 weeks on the dot without missing a dose for say 1-5+ years. Eventually you just build a tolerance, even if you dont have a physical dependency.

I suggest at least a week between doses of etizolam/xanax, 10 days for lorazepam, 14 days for clonazepam, and 14+ days for valium. Try to do at least a once a week limit for all benzos if you want them to work long term. 2x/mo is a safer bet long term to avoid excessive mental addiction.

Requiring 10-16 beers to get drunk is NOT a low tolerance. Ths average non-drinker only need like 2-4 drinks in 30min to be somewhat impaired, and 3-6 drinks to be moderately or more drunk. I dont know where you got the mindset that getting drunk from a 12 pack is somehow being a lightweight/normal/even maybe below normal, but it's a totally skewed and inaccurate way of thinking.
