Sup y'all. So I got about 1-2 weeks left in flower. One dude who makes dank wax told me about a method he uses. Instead of chopping when the time comes, he feeds again plain water and lets the soil dry out 2 weeks. He claims that the buds basically burst with sticky trichomes. After its dried out, you chop and trim and it's ready for smoke.

for real tho this is just another way to dry works just the same way as chopping but takes longer. No idea if its better or worse trichome wise.
