Currently chewing on some shredded cats claw i ground myself. Cats claw or Uncaria Tomentosa contains Rhynchophylline, a non-competitive NMDA antagonist. From what I understand, it's not potent enough to cause a trip, but it is capable of potentiating kratom and is good for treating depression/anxiety. I'm currently chewing on what I'm guessing is about an ounce of so and spitting it out when I lose the bitter taste. I'm hoping to get s one effect from sublingual ingestion. I read a report from someone who said about 10 grams resembled the effects of a 1st plat DXM trip, so I'm trying to see if this could be effective for people like me, who suffer terrible consequences of DXM addiction, as a crutch for dealing with the dreaded admissions that comes with quitting the tussin. Will report back later.

Interested in where this goes OP, was considering buying some myself a while back, quite like the idea of having access to a good, legal and natural NMDA antagonist.

About your consequences of addiction - what would you say they are? Physical? Cognitive? Psychological? I’ve been way out of wack ever since recklessly using it from 16-19. I’m doing way better now but I was basically retarded for a while. Didn’t do shit, couldn’t learn shit, forgot things in the middle of sentences or tangents (still happens sometimes) not to mention my bipolar was on steroids and i may have had psychosis too. Shit even my esophagus eroded and my acid reflux is a total mess. I’m suspicious something is up with my bladder now too... definitely been getting over it w nootropics, exercise, and sex, surprisingly (which I hadn’t had in a long long time)and it all seems to be returning me to reality and functionality, but I’m sure some of this can never be undone. I realized on acid recently how much information I’ve been missing, like how there are just blank spots in my mind...

Most of the anhedonia from quitting DXM is probably related to serotonin levels. It's a pretty strong reuptake inhibitor, enough to cause brain zaps. If cats claw doesn't work you could try a dose of an SSRI so you at least know what you're dealing with.

Or better yet, take a mixture that will naturally effect the receptors dxm does. Cats claw+st johns wort+ltheanine+caffeine should do the trick. Youve just gotts take the time to find the right dose of each one alone before you try to mix them all together.

I'm interested in this. For the novelty and just because.

Mostly legal consequences. I have a god complex that comes out on DXM and it usually ends with me getting arrested one way or another. I haven't had any success with the cats claw yet. I want to try making an extract but I'm not sure how. Will report back when I find more information.

Nb because slow moving thread

God complex is par for the course with extended dxm use and with good reason; it’s just seems funny after because of the distortion requisite in the data filtering

OP here, no effects so far. Tried again last night by steeping in boiling water with no positive results. I still think an extract would be more effective.
