I was wondering if DXM loses it's cough suppressing properties when the user has a high tolerance to the high?

I've stopped abusing DXM for a while already but my tolerance is really high towards it. So high that a 1,125mg trip barely does anything to me.

However, I'd like to still use it for coughs in case I get sick.

Will my high tolerance affect the cough suppressing effect of DXM?

yeah it would. you build a tolerance to the chemical itself, so youd need more to get the same effects you'd get normally whether that be cough relieving or getting high

I honestly don't think DXM suppressed coughs to begin with. The antitussive aspects were made up to both steer people away from codeine cough syrups and to get a powerful disso out into the hands of the public to increase the resident population of the dextroverse.

Whilst its hardly anything but an entry level dis
It is an excellent one for beginners
Lead them to proper dissociative orders

IME yes a little bit, but not as much as tolerance to the /dis/. Instead of 30-60mg I need 60-90mg.

It definitely suppresses coughs to an extent, but it's not that great at it unless combined with Guaifenesin. I think that the mixed meds like that (Mucinex, Dayquil, etc.) do serve medicinal functions but I believe that they know what they're doing with the sale of DXM only products. Delsym especially. The enzyme inhibition is too fucking and it's 888mg per (large) bottle, and on top of that they charge like $12-18. They know exactly what they're doing.
>>371283
DXM is not at all entry level /dis/. Having had hundreds of DXM trips and thousands of doses of arylcyclohexylamines I think DXM is more hardcore than any other /dis/ except for maybe MK-801 (which I have also done).

>DXM Isnt an entry level dis because i enjoy it and have taken a parge dose of it before

nah its very, very entry level. Hence why its the entry level dissociative for most users here (if your from.uk like me ket is common so we dont bother with dxm, wiich we can order or buy otc, but same cash gets u k so.why would you. I have ordered it a few times. But meh)

I think people would consider dxm as an entry-level /dis/ because it's so readily available. What if you had to order dxm powder from a vendor? Heavy 3rd and 4th plat experiences would seem that much more "extreme" if it wasnt the active ingredient in most anti-tussives.

Go slow-dose a 4th plat with some enzyme inhibitors and get back to me. DXM is not easy. You have to fucking work for it if you wanna see what's really there.

I've had a mild fever on and off the past 3 weeks, but no cough. I've been doing DXM meanwhile so I wonder if thats the reason I've had no cough.

Its entry level because you either need a load of other drugs or 0 tolerance to get dissed in the same leauge as even ketamine medium dose
Nevermind mxe
Intramuscular s isomer k
O pce, 3 meos and dck ect

They absolutely blow dxm away

Leaving it as entry level

Coz ill laugh at anyone who says dxm is big or whatever
Its just rough

DXM is a pretty rubbish cough suppressant at the best of times, it's actually a little surprising it'd still sold for that purpose. It does more than nothing, but there are many as effective and less intoxicating options.

It depends on how much you take as to how effective it is lmao.

Though I'd agree, if I ever really wanted to stop a real cough I'd go with 'Rikodeine' (Dihydrocodeine).

I suppose at this point it's part of big pharma. It's a chemical that's produced on a grand scale that you can throw into a wide variety of products, so long as they're respiratory, cold & cough related. Come to think of it, imagine how much DXM is produced each year? Imagine it all in one pile, all of the DXM from every manufacturer that goes into every cough syrup, cough medicine capsules, pills, and whatever else. That would be a huge, heaping pile of DXM. It's honestly a cheap chemical to produce and is rather abundant in society, it's just that society "up front" generally does not facilitate or encourage you to get high on it. Interesting.

Sure, but even shit like pholcodine is just about effective as DXM probably more so, not even slightly psychoactive.

DXM isn't a cough suppressant it's just a front by Big Pharma to get you hooked on dissociatives

You gotta hand it to big pharma, it's a pretty equitable exchange. A little too much of one.

Just remembered what it's called. Once while I was deep into abject dxm retardation I got pneumonia and bronchitis, the cough suppressant they gave me was called benzonatate. I hardly used any of it while I was sick and managed to save a decent amount of it. It seemed to work much better than anything less than a bottle of dxm from what I can remember, but I very rarely deal with any kind of sickness like that. I do know I ended up using it all over time. Can't say how easy it is to obtain, it's absolutely not recreational but I figure you probably need a script.

Also if dxm is entry level babby /dis/ then I challenge you to go glorp down 3 standard bottles within 15 minutes. If you throw up any of it you are like a little kid lol

Dxm loses its magic after a few years of heavy use. If I drank three bottles now I would probably just feel retarded without the euphoria.
