I was wondering if DXM loses it's cough suppressing properties when the user has a high tolerance to the high?

I've stopped abusing DXM for a while already but my tolerance is really high towards it. So high that a 1,125mg trip barely does anything to me.

However, I'd like to still use it for coughs in case I get sick.

Will my high tolerance affect the cough suppressing effect of DXM?

yeah it would. you build a tolerance to the chemical itself, so youd need more to get the same effects you'd get normally whether that be cough relieving or getting high

I honestly don't think DXM suppressed coughs to begin with. The antitussive aspects were made up to both steer people away from codeine cough syrups and to get a powerful disso out into the hands of the public to increase the resident population of the dextroverse.

Whilst its hardly anything but an entry level dis
It is an excellent one for beginners
Lead them to proper dissociative orders

IME yes a little bit, but not as much as tolerance to the /dis/. Instead of 30-60mg I need 60-90mg.
It definitely suppresses coughs to an extent, but it's not that great at it unless combined with Guaifenesin. I think that the mixed meds like that (Mucinex, Dayquil, etc.) do serve medicinal functions but I believe that they know what they're doing with the sale of DXM only products. Delsym especially. The enzyme inhibition is too fucking and it's 888mg per (large) bottle, and on top of that they charge like $12-18. They know exactly what they're doing.
DXM is not at all entry level /dis/. Having had hundreds of DXM trips and thousands of doses of arylcyclohexylamines I think DXM is more hardcore than any other /dis/ except for maybe MK-801 (which I have also done).

>DXM Isnt an entry level dis because i enjoy it and have taken a parge dose of it before

nah its very, very entry level. Hence why its the entry level dissociative for most users here (if your from.uk like me ket is common so we dont bother with dxm, wiich we can order or buy otc, but same cash gets u k so.why would you. I have ordered it a few times. But meh)

I think people would consider dxm as an entry-level /dis/ because it's so readily available. What if you had to order dxm powder from a vendor? Heavy 3rd and 4th plat experiences would seem that much more "extreme" if it wasnt the active ingredient in most anti-tussives.

Go slow-dose a 4th plat with some enzyme inhibitors and get back to me. DXM is not easy. You have to fucking work for it if you wanna see what's really there.

I've had a mild fever on and off the past 3 weeks, but no cough. I've been doing DXM meanwhile so I wonder if thats the reason I've had no cough.
