I am getting pretty tired of waking up in dreams within dreams within dreams, I would rather have nightmares than this recursive hell. Is there some sort of interpretation of waking up in your dreams?

that normally only happens to me when I'm particularly stressed or I'm coming off of weed. It is really jarring but mine stop after a while. How long have you been having them?

False awakenings aren't that uncommon of a phenomenon. Here's a copy and paste of a post I made on another website a while back about an experience I had with multiple false awakenings:

"As far as FAs go, I've had some here and there (don't usually get them), but one time when I was sorting out sleep issues and dealing with sleep medication that wasn't working, I took several soma to help me sleep. I wound up having 6 lucid dreams that morning, all one right after another (literally within the span of 20 minutes), but they weren't necessarily all that stable or anything.

As a matter of fact, I had 6 within 20 minutes because after each short lived lucid, I had on average 1-3 FAs before really waking up. It was honestly one of the most bizarre experiences I've ever had, because after the first two I realized what was going on (I was waking up every 3 or 4 minutes or whatever, so it's hard not to). When I realized what was happening, I would notice that even though I've woken up and I'm just lying in bed, my room was completely different despite registering as being exactly the same to my senses. I would realize within a few seconds that it was wrong (though how I don't know, because like I said, it was registering as totally normal and very convincingly), enter another FA, realize even quicker that the same thing was happening, and then get a third FA (sometimes).

It was like rapidly shifting between realities (gotta remember I had 6 lucid dreams too, so in between sets of FAs I was dreaming too), and it was all crashing like a house of cards. Normally FAs don't cause such a strange feeling upon exiting them either, it was highly confusing in one sense, but not in another because I knew what was happening. The best way to put it is that I felt all the confusion despite my thoughts not matching the confusion, it was a very disorienting experience while it was happening."

I had a dream a few nights ago which was very vivid. I never dream, due to medications I am on or just forgetfulness so it was very surprising.

I was in a rundown empty building with many rooms openings and corridors. A female demon-like monster with no face was looking for me on twisted limbs. I knew these rooms would contain supplies which I could use to save myself. I felt immense panic and fear and helplessness, hiding under beds and running around until I found a gun, which I held until I ran into a group of people whom were being consumed by the being. I shoot but it does no good and I feel myself consumed and wake up soon afterwards.

Does this mean anything? I often had dreams as a kid of being helpless like a tidal wave or meteor or black hole where I sit on and cannot do anything as I am killed or consumed..

That's a quality nightmare. Probably something about suppressed fear of death or the evils of humanity. Some things cannot be defeated conventionally and you have to run away until you figure something else out. that's just life

Dude, whoever says you can't read text in dreams is full of shit, I was browsing 420chan in my sleep for about 4 hours last night. And yeah, a lot of threads that I just imagined, but some of them were real threads that I was actually reading yesterday and just made it into the dream by memory.

But I've heard/read that it's supposed to be impossible to read anything in a dream. Anyone experience anything like that, or is anyone else here able to actually read things in a dream?

Most of the claims about dreams out there are just myths/bullshit.

People claim you can't read, that times always change whether you look away from and back at an analog or digital clock, that the faces of people in your dreams are always faces of people you've seen before even if you don't consciously remember them, that looking into a mirror causes your reflection to look demonic, etc.

I've read plenty of times and looking at then away from and back at both analog and digital clocks has both caused time to change and stay the same for me. The brain also works by categorizing things, and you can visualize noses, eyes, ears, mouths, cheeks, skin tone/color, etc. separately without imagining whole faces. I don't see why it would be hard to imagine that your brain could form amalgamations of your memories of these separate parts of a face into brand new faces... so this is just a myth without basis too. I've also looked in mirrors plenty of times in dreams, and other than when I had a lucid dream when I was having some mild phenibut withdrawal where the dream was rather demonic feeling and in atmosphere to begin with, I've never looked demonic or even different than myself in my reflection.

i rember reading about reading in dreams, if you were able to read as a kid at quite young age then you have higher chances of reading in dream. same goes for boomers who dream in black and white because tvs back then weren't in color

I am on the outskirts of a village. There's a long road leading out of it. The road has woods on both sides and it's quite hilly. I walk up to what looks like a bus stop, wanting to get out of the village. A girl gives me something which I can only describe as a combination of a shopping cart and a desk chair on wheels. I proceed to sit on it and push myself onto the hilly road. I fly down the hilly slopes of the street, trying my best to stay away from passing cars. I barely avoid flying into the ditch.

Then I arrive at a bland building. I decide to enter it and I find out it's full of rooms. The rooms are filled with girls dancing on yoga mats. I can't quite figure out what age they are, but some seem to be in their late teens and I get slightly aroused. Then I enter the hallway of the building. In the middle, just in front of the big glass doors, there is a luxurious sofa with an attractive woman in her late 20s laying on it. She has brown hair and is wearing a white t-shirt and a thong. I get her to spread her legs, drop down on my knees and press my tongue up against the thong. The sweet, sweet taste of pussy hits the taste buds of my tongue. I get up and tell her "I'm going to shoot my load in your mouth, and you're going to swallow". Then I take another look at her thong and I notice there's some text on the front of it, on the exact spot I placed my tongue.

I wake up with a throbbing boner, about the orgasm. I manage to withhold my climax and get up.

the first part seems to indicate that you are feeling confined by society and want to ride out of town with whatever you can throw together, the deskcart maybe implying that you are sick of the work-to-eat attitude our society holds.
And rightfully so, because it's stupid and prevents people from buying actual property by charging them more to inhabit their own bodies. but anyway
the commercialization of sex has tricked your mind into simultaneously viewing women as both idols and objects. the thong marked 'property of L.N." represents the separation between advertisement and gratification. You block yourself from experiencing true emotional attachments because of the concept that it exists behind a barrier, and so have become enamored with the barriers instead. you either need to open up to a deeper emotional relationship with someone so you can feel an actual bond, or you need to get laid so you stop obsessing over it. either way you are trying to come to the conclusion that bodies are just something we're wired to lust after, and lust is just another emotion that you have to look at objectively sometimes instead of letting it get the better of you.
dunno why Liam Neeson tho- maybe you fear the skills he has acquired over his very long career. Skills that make him a nightmare for people like you. If you let his daughter go now that'll be the end of it- he will not look for you, he will not pursue you. But if you don't, he will look for you, he will find you, and he will kill you.

Hey fellas, had a question about my dreams. When I was younger, I would dream about all sorts of things, with all sorts of perspectives, some happy, some scary, some sad. For the last couple of years, however, 90% of my dreams take place in:

1) Malls
2) Schools
3) Airports

Every once in a while, I'll have a dream with a mall-airport, or a school-mall, etc. I'm always me in these dreams, and I am generally much happier in these dreams than I am in real life. What's strange is that I have social anxiety, and malls really fuck with me, but in these dreams, everything is awesome. Why is this?

oh, you're talking about the Haunt I think. It's like a 'totem' location, lots of people visualize it differently but it is similar to a ruin. It represents the corridors of the mind, and alludes to things that have been forgotten or abandoned. The deeper you go into the basement, the more repressed thoughts and feelings you will uncover, since they represent the 'foundation' of this structure. At least, hypothetically. I've only talked to a few people about this concept, so any other details on the house be interesting. Every time I go there I always hear someone else in the house but I can never find them. There's also a cellar hatch in the coat closet that I use to go down into the basement sometimes, but it's super messy and unfinished with holes in the floor and I start finding lots of bones if I keep going down

Can someone help interpret this dream

Basically, I dreamt that I was some soldier or something in a Star Wars-like empire in space. Captain Picard from Star Trek was my superior in the military. We were in a room in a space ship with other soldiers just chilling, I was seated. Then the Emperor(guy in the picture) walked in and all the other soldiers bowed down to him, while I remained seated. The Emperor was angry and demanded an explanation for me not bowing. I lied and said that my legs were broken and made a fake apology for not bowing (I was trying to gain his sympathy).

Later, we were all having dinner and the Emperor started asking about how my legs got broken. Picard tried to cover for me and made something up (i dont remember what) but then I made up my own lie after Picard said his thing. I said that I had been injured at war at some place called "Galbatron" I think. It was then obvious that the Emperor was on to my lies. I started pretending to have broken legs again. Then the Emperor felt my chest and arm muscles and said "pretty good", he looked surprised slightly but also malevolent sort of.

The dream ended then, before the Emperor was able to call me out on my lie.

Just to clarify, Picard was not necessarily his character in Star Trek (I didn't watch the show) , I just don't know what else to call him. Also, while he tried to cover for me, he gave a disappointed look.

Also, the guy in pic related is from Spartacus which I did watch but he was not necessarily his character from the show.

I should write these down when I wake up, now all I can remember is...

Something about learning to fly, and then seeing an F1 or something do barrel rolls really close to the ground, thinking it was dangerous but they landed fine.

Now Im getting a feeling that there was a plane crash, something political.
Its all so vivid you wake up thinking "ill never forget that." and of course it vanishes shortly after, only to resurface at random intervals when something jogs your memory.

last week I had a dream about me and my friends going to a car dealer and inside the garage, there where hanging flat screens all over the place, with the news on them. but all of a sudden all of the flat screens were showing a video of me. and the video that the flatscreens were showing is a real video that's on my pc. so I immediately thought the owner of the garage was a Hacker who hackt my pc bc I thought he had a strange obsession with me or something, Idk exactly. I confronted him and he started to run, but I was faster so I tackled him. then I took a knife (the exact same knife that I carry everyday) and without hesitating I stabbed him in the carotid very slowly and while blood was coming out I slitt both his wrists, I knew what i was doing but I didn't care. and my friends they just stood there in a half circle looking at me with no emotions, like there where empty inside. When I woke up a few moments later I realized it was a dream but at first I couldn't believe it was a dream. I thought I really killed someone and I got this cold chill going through my body.
Does this have any meaning?

I don't think so. Vivid dreams are often remembered during the day.
On the other hand I don't have a phd in psychology.
If I had one I would toss around terms like "sociopathic tendencies", "narcissistic personality" or "You are being paranoid. You are not Albert Fish."

My last dream:
>Donald Trump sits across from me behind a desk in a dark and eery office
>I look down for a moment
>As I look up again the whole office suddenly became infernal with hellish, occult ornaments everywhere
>Trump himself became a demon with glowing red eyes and a large, black lizard frill around his neck
>He exclaimed a silent scream as he jumped at me
Dreams are just weird

I was something like a ninja in the dream, I think. I had an impressive ability to climb walls, at least. I was on the top of a building, when I see a group of people comming, and I'm afraid of them finding me. I go to a hiding place, a little storage cubbyhole that I know of because I remember being in that building before, but it has been walled shut. I tried to take cover against the wall in an angle that they wouldn't see me, but it didn't work and they saw me and started comming my way. I felt cornered and charged them like an animal or something, they got scared and ran from me, but this teen girl coudn't keep up with them and I reached her. Then I ripped her clothes of, threw her on the ground , started raping her and jizzed myself awake.

Is that fucked up or what? Woke up feeling guilty and dirty and it fucked my whole day up. Do you people have similar experiences?

Had various dreams how I lived in a National Socialist state, was pretty chill. Also met Hitler and his officers a few times.
Best dreams to be honest, that feel when you're sitting at the same table as Hitler and discussing various plans with him and his high command.

Noways I don't have political dreams, but mostly military dreams.
