Thank you for your time. Would post skinny pics but lost my phone and only have recent pics where nothing is defined on my body

Gas masks are actually viewed as fashion accessories by some people. That really doesn't resonate with me as a reasonable fashion decision. It makes no sense to me. If it's used for deep under the earth coal work, why would it be something you hang out with others just putting on? I guess there is subjectivity in fashion, but there are decisions I would never find my self choosing and I know this within seconds, it is a quick state of knowledge to reach about the content when it comes down to it. lol I get why you'd want to have a gas mask. I see the cause. Protection is me. If I'm underground or in some contaminated place I will be taking care of dangers involved and I don't want to have problems from not doing this. In a scenario where you're around X, and it does damage, I would think it's a sensible decision to protect from X.

I've seen books for sale, but explosion magic is a dangerous thought. People suspect you would destroy, not disarm. Thus it's a high price point item.
With either one big moment saving the disbelievers, or no payoff and a lifetime with terrifying knowledge.

Most cars run on controlled series of explosions from the liquefied remains oil if I'm not mistaken. The power to move a two ton death trap at speeds in excess of yo mama's ass crack. Skidmarks.

Is meat man a cannibal? If I met a kind stranger offering to give me meat with an armed group of individuals behind them I'd be very intimidated and likely to act out of impulse. The idea of dining on randomly gifted food with the stranger(s) who gave it seems like a bad way to get yourself poisoned or drugged.

Should initial confrontation with meat man go smoothly and no serious tensions with him or his possible rag tag meat crew arise then a possible coexistence could be fruitful, especially if meat man is willingly eager to prepare fresh game or even cook/smoke meat. This unique figure feeding the meat crew would potentially allow them to explore while he defends the meat camp.

The meat man never intentionally eats human, and has never known to eat any.
He usually gets meat straight from the animal and uses pickling and canning techniques
to ensure it lasts a long time for all to enjoy.

The company he keeps are generally good people, but he isn't a selective person and
is bound to his goal of providing healthy, fresh meat to all the wasteland.

There are dangers, however with wild carnivorous animals attracted to meat man, but his
pack of once-feral dogs that enjoy his meats usually keeps him entirely safe.
This has, however limited his meat options because he likes his dogs and considers them
companions too much to ever serve their meat.

Youre looking at steven, he used to live with a large settlement in oregon where he was the head grower. That settlement was hit by a hostile groups raiding party, so he took all the seeds he could fit in his backpack and started his own operation in the mountains. He lives a loneley life however, and he is looking for someone to chill with. Hes mostly down for whatever and has a sizable farm where he trades quality unirradiated bud for supplies.

So what's your best, or favored survival weapon? If shit hits the fan, what will you keep by your side at all times, relying on it to save your ass?

It could be a gun, a blade, something blunt, maybe even think outside the box here. Perhaps it's your car. The point is to pick one thing which you would choose first as a weapon to survive an apocalypse.

Now just to clarify, this is a total SHTF apocalypse. There are zombies, thermonuclear blast sites, biological weapons released, natural disasters, fucking total anarchy everywhere. Things like bullets might be in short supply unless you've got your own personal ammo dump. Forget about raiding a nearby military base, it's almost definitely either heavily fortified and in use already or completely annihilated. You might have some luck in private shops or homes, but ammunition is going to be a bit scarce, especially since in such a world it will become so valuable.

Gas stations won't be up and running for the most part. You may have to find other means of transportation. Think about how this impacts the type of weapon you select. Things like weight, conspicuousness, extra moving parts that need to be carried are all important factors.

Think about concealment. Or alternatively, intimidation. Would you do better hiding the fact that you're armed? Or would walking through a town lugging a fully automatic machine gun speak more to your style?

Think about alternative uses for your weapon. What else can it be used for? Could you chop things with it? Dig perhaps? There's a lot to consider and you only get to pick one.

My choice? A khukri. I'm not saying it's everyone's best choice but it works for me. I prefer being sneaky, inconspicuous, quiet and not having to rely on scavenging for ammunition on top of food and other supplies means more time saved. Sure it's not nearly as reassuring as a rifle, but so long as I stick to the shadows and keep my head down I'll be fine.

I'm not very strong and am somewhat short, the khukri's design capitalizes on the laws of physics, giving you a lot of slicing power for very little kinetic input. A swift flick of the wrist and someone loses an arm. Or a head. Gunshots are loud, they attract attention and can be difficult to direct in a crazy situation if you don't have prior training. Sure you might have gone to the shooting range every weekend for ten years but are you sure you won't piss yourself and freeze up as an undead horror comes screeching at you full speed, mutated face pustules throbbing, fangs eager to eat your flesh? Now in that scenario you might be saying "well fuck, I'd rather have a gun than have to get anywhere close to something like that" and I would say you're probably right. However, there's just something primal about holding a big blade in your hand. It feels right and in a fight or flight response, the first instinct is sometimes to swing violently at your target. With a blade, that will work just fine.

A khukri can do more, it can chop firewood, it's easy to keep sharp and if I really have to it can be a decent digging tool (though it'd probably be fucked up after I used it for that). It makes a prime hunting knife but since I'm more of a trapper and a forager, hunting wild game with a knife isn't going to be a big concern.

Feel free to tell me why I am wrong/retarded/doublejolly african-american etc.

So /fo/, choose your weapon.

I wouldn't say that it's more important, but it is a lot more difficult to acquire after SHTF than before, than a firearm is likely to be. If we're playing that game though, optics, especially night vision gear, should take priority. The most dangerous enemy is the one you don't see.

Those from Heaven to Earth Fell. The replicants being a genetic creation like man in the Annunaki myth.

The Owl of Minerva is Tyrell Corps Logo. The intro scene where Deckard is flying over the flaming spires of LA is called Hades for some reason. However I find this strange as having personally been to Hades I can confirm that there are towers of flame. Ridley is an interesting character. He also uses metaphor to express this idea again in Alien: Covenant.

A sad fate for what started out as a great thing.

The world's ended, well, society at least.
You emerge from the rubble as your plan detailed but you're now in a world both more simple and more complex than it once was.

The world is full of the dead, and the alive are scarce in-between.
Perhaps your friends are dead, maybe your family has died.
Most likely you're starting again, more alone than you've ever been.

The internet, phones, even radio are probably down as the electricity grid goes dark and you're left without the glistening spark of connectivity.

If you see a stranger, would you not trust them?
If you do not trust them, whom would you trust?
If you have nobody, would you not be lonely?
People are truly the best resource in this world.

If humanity is lowered into the abyss, the ones left will still have hearts and minds.
Perhaps some will be sociopaths, but I believe most will be humans with empathy and heart.

Sociopaths tend to have a small group of "friends" who are more like followers, devoted to them and are often used as such. This typically leads most in a naturalistic setting to become suspicious and untrusting of the sociopath. But it does lead to short-term success and a predation on the rest of the community.

A warm person who is well met will undoubtedly have more trust throughout the communities. Especially in small communities where empathy and personal relations are key to the success of the collective. This "collective" is undoubtedly the best way to survive as you up your chances. Food doesn't go to waste, skills are more specialized, safety is more assured.

You may hide in the woods and kill what you need to live, but humans have not evolved for such solitary lives. You will want to love, you will want to fuck, you will want to share your existence.

That is why it is paramount for your survival that you have good people skills. Beyond the norms of society. Times are different so you will not have to worry about things like class or your place in the former society. Your actions will prove the most important.

In a way you get a new chance to be human again.
Will you defend your brother with the spear, or stab him in his back?

Most likely, your immediate circle will become your whole world. Naturally you will be xenophobic towards all other groups, your survival is now their survival.
