Hey, /fo/. At one point during my searches for SHTF related things I came across a website of people selling land for bug out places. It wasn't just for selling land, but specifically for selling country land that would be good for bugging out to. The sellers listed the selling points in terms of how they would help you be self sufficient in case of a disaster. Anyone know the site I'm talking about? Or any similar ones? Any help is much appreciated folks. If ta'll'd like, I'll try and dump some post-apoc type art.

This picture irks the hell out of me. You see there a massive building made of WOOD. Yes, wood. It appears to be surrounded by many campfires. Yes, unattended flames encircling a wooden structure. That appears to be lit with candles or torches. BRILLIANT.

Hey. That's false advertising. That picture is not of an overgrown/abandoned hotel. That's the Kandalama Hotel in Sri Lanka.
He's the same picture with the tiniest change of angle. Look in the upper right window.

I once found a realtor that was selling land in eastern Oregon and Washington for $1500 an acre. The problem is that there were minimum lot sizes of 5 acres, and there's absolutely jack shit out there but desert. Still, for a place to stash a bunker full of weapons and food, not a bad choice. The area is hardly inhabited, so isolation wouldn't be a problem, and it's dry as shit so food will store well. What I was thinking was getting a 5 acre lot and burying a few dozen shipping containers on it.

There is a part of Colorado, by the New Mexico border, selling lots for $750 an acre with a ten year payment plan, something like five acre minimum buy. No need to bury your shipping containers, by the way, because those are actually acceptable forms of outbuildings around here. I see them with chimneys and shit like that all the time. They also have old rail cars you can buy that you can park on your land, and they are totally okay with converted busses, all kinds of shit. If you really feel like ti, there is a place around here that sells pre-fab two story houses you can put solar panels on, tap well water, and make a completely self sustainable little place for yourself down here. It is a shitty place, mostly desert like conditions, but no body cares what you do as long as you follow the law. Hell, I see people making really good natural fortifications with their lands, and there are even bona fide replicas of the Bin Laden compound down here in the middle of nowhere (creepy as all fuck to drive near in the middle of the night though, lemme tell you). And nobody gives a fuck.
