drinking yourself to death

have you considered it?

i know i have.
sell/bin all my stuff, take out a loan, max out my lines of credit, move someplace that is cheap but still has decent internet.
die alone in a shed or whatever.

i bring it up because a friend of mine, incidentally the person that got me drinking/drugging 15 years ago, is dying because of her alcoholism.

i thought it'd be pretty chill to do my rural suicide, kinda like leaving las vegas, but in a podunk town where all of the cars are at least ten years old.
but seeing what that looks like, actually seeing people die that way...
it's fuckin' harrowing, man.
i'd rather do a couple rails of something brown and hang myself, you know?

This as well, unless you have a pre existing liver condition or are female (seriously, drinking tends to be harder on their organs) you can drink pretty damn heavily for 30-40 years and while youll hardly be the image of health your liver probably won't crap out on you til you're 60. I guess you might be more likely to get certain cancers or die in an accident, especially if you dui but that's no guarantee.

If you move in to a shed and start pursuing full time drinking you're more likely to find yourself 45 years old and still living in someones shed having done nothing with your life.

Had a week detox from drinking (I've been a maintanence drinker for years but started not being able to maintain my level & getting innapropriately pissed & was about to get fiired), ended up getting pneumonia & slept through most of it so wasn't that bad. I got offered a knock off beer last night & ended up going home & staying up to 5am drinking a bottle, It's taken me years to develop noticibly uncomfortable physical withdrawals but does getting drunk once put me back into the withdrawal stage? feeling sick as shit today not sure if it's the liquor or just the pneumonia but I'm having a drink now to see if it'll help.

One night of drinking won't send you back in withdrawal generally, but drinking again so soon after detox may. Also, you're gonna develop physical symptoms again real fast if you keep at it. I start getting withdrawal again after about a week of drinking.

A week of detox isn't enough. Try at least a month.

Maybe you're just hungover and forgot what it feels like.

Alcohol is the only thing that makes the future and present seem tolerable, but it's not enough. I pretty sure I love a girl but we're from very different worlds and I may have burned that bridge forever. I just feel no ones cares anymore.

To be honest, I used to do heroin and I'm simulataneously addicted to subs as I am alcohol. Opiates help my hangover as I'm literally in quite a bit of physical pain from them. I suppose it has something to do with alcohol sending me into withdrawal. I drink to feel good and when my mind goes from it, I get back on opiates, and so on and so forth.

Sippable Liquors

Sup /hooch/

I've decided it's time for me to get into some sippable liquors. Obviously the first thing that comes to mind is whiskey, and its subsets such as bourbon, scotch, etc. Any brands you guys would recommend? I'm thinking a liquor I can have one or two glasses of in the evening, slowly sipping it. Neat would be ideal, ice annoys me. I'm not trying to break the bank here but I'm not gonna get shitty plastic bottle either. What are some middle-of-the-road sippable liquors? I'm open to almost any variety.

Currently I drink tequila mixed with various juices, or just in shots, as well as beer or wine.

I'd say Dewar's, if that's middle of the road. Two rocks is ideal, though I drink it straight mostly.

In terms of tequila, the best I've had as a shot is Casamigos. That shit could be sipped straight, but I believe it's a little more higher end.

I used to be able to drink straight vodka and everclear for years. Ever since I puked hard from drinking too much, I've not been able to handle hard liquor without mixing the shit out of it.

Are there any recommendations on how to handle liquor like a chad? Teach me your ways.

After a serious bender or am super hungover my body wont let me hold down hard liquor, I'll just puke it up instantly. I found a work around though.

When this is happening, I drink a few low alcohol beers first, 5% or under. The watery shitty beers, because they go down easy and have no flavor. Also I drink them as cold as possible. I get Coor's light, it's literally seltzer water when cold. I drink at least four, at a decent pace but definity don't chug them. Take like a half hour for the four.

When I start feeling a super mild buzz I know I'm good to go. For some reason when my body has started to feel the effect produced by alcohol, it lets me chug any liquor with immunity. Vodka turns to water. Try it out, when I figured this out I felt like I found a glitch in the matrix or some shit. Hope this works.

Comfiest way to drink IMO, and never really see anyone talk about it online.
I like rum in hot chocolate and tea, and recently was introduced to Gammel Dansk in coffee (very potent flavour, delicious).

Any good combos you know of?

Why am I like this? I can't handle anything in terms of work. Been to rehab twice and all it did was slightly lessen my drinking, liquor to beer essentially.

My siblings are doing fucking great and I'm just a dumb enthusiastic drunkard with an obsession for early 2000's music.

Definitely don't use anything stronger than 10-15% alcohol, so make it 5/8ths water and 3/8ths 40% booze (I'd use something clear like gin or vodka, but for the record I've never tried plugging booze to actually get drunk, just as part of a 3-5ml solution to dissolve other drugs) and it should be around 15% booze. Definitely don't go above 20%, and even then I bet it will cause internal damage.

Feel free to try it, but anything more than like 50, maybe 100ml of liquid will be too much to absorb. If you're dependent enough to have serious WD, you won't be able to absorb enough reasonably.

So yeah keep in mind like 100ml of 15% is less than a single shot of 40%.

tl;dr OP you're better off taking quarter pieces of Xanax and waiting an hour to see if it stops, or even better using Valium or the RC diclazepam.

If you have the means, go to an er, they will give you benzos iv. The best time to quit smoking drugs drinking is when you get sick. Alcohol, if you are alcoholic. It's not a good life to keep on going. A hosital may give you something for barfing. Ine drug ondansetron? Is starting to be widely used to keep people from craving alcohol.

But, surly some vodka will get into your system eventually by drinking it. I don't think a shot would be extremely dangerous though, taken half at a time. Although a nice Chardonnay might pair well with your condition.

If you make little money, get medicaid for insurance. It will save your hind-quarters if you really need to go to a hospital, and get a regular primary care DR. It will pay for alcohol treatment in most of not all states, if you aren't getting anywhere in life with alcohol and care what tomorrow brings..
