I know someone who did this exact thing for a couple years - several 4Lokos a night. He was a total mess and was barely functional when not chugging that disgusting malt-flavored sugar water.

I can't stand the price and taste of spirits anymore. I have to resort to homebrew rum, which tastes freaking awful. The rum I make is all sour and tastes like vinegar. I have to keep eating to mask the awful taste. Where I live alcohol is expensive so I have to find the strongest spirits to make the best bang for the buck, but ofcourse it tastes fucking awful. The only thing i found thats remotely even close to alcohol is phenibut, it helped me quit booze for a year but its weird, feels like its killing my memory and creativity and i have to keep taking larger amounts to feel its effects which doesn't feel safe. What do? Maybe I should just quit cold turkey.

I have been making wine (with just sugar) for the past few years, then switched to Turbo rum because it only takes 3-5 days to ferment. Both of them are just as sour. I did some research though and might of figured out why it tastes so sour and like vinegar. It might be due to using plain sugar as the main ingredient. If i used dextrose it will work better. Dextrose is a little bit more expensive. I have to wait till the end of month before i can buy some and see the results though. Right now im just drinking last spirits I have which were pretty expensive becaue of our mafia government taxing alcohol through the roof. I regret buying it though, should have just bought sugar or dextrose and waited a few days. kek.

Seems to me like it works at least against the strictly physical urges, although with a delay. But of course it won't help if your life is boring for example and that's why you drink.

I've been drinking a lot of brandy and chardonnay as of late. I know, if I keep this up I'm gonna get fat as fuck. Nevertheless, i enjoy both drinks. Not sure what I'll replace them with. I just turned 25 on Saturday and I can feel my metabolism slowing down. I eat a keto diet pretty much on a constant basis so I maintain my body weight of 135 lbs. I'm only 5'7. Anyway..

What are your preferred drinks? Do you enjoy fattening drinks? If so, how do you keep the pounds off? Do you keep the pounds off? I'm not necessarily looking for advice unless someone here has really good advice. I'm mostly just curious about the daily intake of the average /hooch/ browser and how they maintain their body.

I drink 1400 calories of lager every day +/-460
I generally only eat two meals a day, a light breakfast and then usually unhealthy shit when I'm drunk in the evening.
I'm 27 and I still weigh the same as I did in high school
I got blood tests done a year ago that suggested I might have an over active thyroid but I never went back to the doctor for more tests because if I did they would try to force me to quit drinking and get back on anti-depressants. I think I have a lump on one of my testicles so I might have to bite the bullet and go back soon though.
Anyway, I would estimate I eat about 400 calories max for breakfast and maybe 800-1000 calories for dinner most days. I have a moderately physical job so I guess 2800 calories isn't totally unreasonable, but I am a turbo-manlet so it might be the thyroid thing. I've been living like this for at least 7 years.

since I started drinking regularly I put on a lot of weight but I also started eating pizza a little too often (I work in a pizzeria)

I like drinking whiskey neat. I like red wines, usually of the dry variety. I also like chardonnay. I don't usually turn down beer.

Well, it's mostly whiskey for me. My favorites are Talisker, Blanton's, and I've always been a Jim Beam drinker. Love some Dimple Pinch. Johnnie Walker black or green is great. Chivas Regal. E H Taylor is another favorite. I've got about 50 bottles of whiskey on hand, give or take.. I haven't counted in a while but I buy it faster than I drink it

I've gone back to eating clean and I'm walking to work instead of driving. Pizza limited to once a week. It's hard not to eat pepperonis all day at work. But since I'm eating clean and getting some exercise, I'm looking cute and feeling cute. Sometimes at night I have to make the decision not to drink, and that helps. And I'm trying to save a ton of cash this year so I'm not eating out. I'm not into counting calories. I count protein and I try not to eat a lot of bread or sugar.. simple enough

OP here

I forgot to mention I work at a nursing home so on an average work day I walk between 5 and 10 miles. So that helps me stay healthy. That combined with the keto diet maintains my body weight. I still have a little tuft of fat on my belly though

Alcohol is basically a dissociative. It feels like the perfect chemical cross between a benzo and a second plateau dxm trip, depending on the dose.. At least in my mind.

Discuss please? I'm open to opinions. I also agre that DXM is better than alcohol.

Alcohol actually has significant activity at the NMDA receptors. I also think that DXM + alcohol is a good combo, despite sometimes it makes people puke, i found that alcohol helps with dxm nausea a lot, then add good chill and edge-offtaking to DXM. (this is for chilling and casual fun, for mind-waking trips i left out the alcohol.)

I knew alcohol had significant action on NMDA receptors, so I'm actually not surprised it has such dissociative feel to it. I've tried DXM and alcohol, but it was in too high of doses. I took like 480 mg of dxm and drank like 6 glasses of wine. Suffice to say, it made me way too dizzy for hours and quickly became torturous. Not to mention, I vomited so forcefully it hurt my ribs. That being said, I'd probably try it again but at lower doses of each. I'm sure it's a combination that's fucking terrible for your kidneys and liver though.
