sup /hooch/
Had a week detox from drinking (I've been a maintanence drinker for years but started not being able to maintain my level & getting innapropriately pissed & was about to get fiired), ended up getting pneumonia & slept through most of it so wasn't that bad. I got offered a knock off beer last night & ended up going home & staying up to 5am drinking a bottle, It's taken me years to develop noticibly uncomfortable physical withdrawals but does getting drunk once put me back into the withdrawal stage? feeling sick as shit today not sure if it's the liquor or just the pneumonia but I'm having a drink now to see if it'll help.

One night of drinking won't send you back in withdrawal generally, but drinking again so soon after detox may. Also, you're gonna develop physical symptoms again real fast if you keep at it. I start getting withdrawal again after about a week of drinking.

A week of detox isn't enough. Try at least a month.

Maybe you're just hungover and forgot what it feels like.

Pretty much if you drink you suddenly you previous larger amounts.

But 3 days, definitely, days nights whatever. If you are really into it, less amounts, you likely would still feel pretty crappy. Even something close to recognizably like
withdrawals. It can and does get worse for people who drink a lot and for a long time.

OP, after my first 30 days in rehab I came home to a 750ml of whiskey waiting for me.

The first two hours I was drunk as fuck.

After that it was blackout and I woke up the next day on my friends recliner to a puke crusted hoody.

A month is best.
