Practicing guitar for intermediate-advanced players

This might belong on /m/ but I wondered if anyone who plays guitar has any tips on practicing efficiently. I have played for 10+ yrs but never really practiced much with scales and haven't learned much new info, just jamming and learning covers. I feel stagnant as hell now and need a consistent schedule/routine but don't know how to design one myself or get started doing so.

please dont lead me to some generic "free trial"/"learn guitar overnight!" kinda thing, they are the reason I'm here asking yall beautiful people. pic related

part 14/?

The previous methods I described allow you to easily improvise and fuck around while the chord progression underneath contains the chords from a single key.
This will sound pretty good, and like 90% of the songs usually are written in a single key.

But this will get boring at some point, and you're gonna wanna spice things up a bit.

The general rule of thumb for spicier improvising is - you can play any scale on top of a certain chord, if that scale contains the notes of that chord.
So, on top of a G major chord, instead of playing the G Ionian, you can play the G Mixolydian for example.
You can apply any of the previously mentioned tricks to do so.

Or, if the progression has the just the chord C and G, you can play different scales, depending on the mood you want to invoke.
You can play the C major scale on top of both chords, or you can play the G mixolydian scale on top of both chords (listen to Gravity by John Mayer).
You can play C Ionian when C comes up, and G mixolydian when G comes up.
This is now where your creativity comes up, as you can basically do anything as long as there aren't clashing notes.
There are some 'best-practice' guidelines on how and when to change modes, but I'm not gonna get into that now (I really have don't have time currently). For now, you can basically do whatever you want to, just experiment with it!

Once all of this gets stale to your ears, you can start the same process, but instead of starting from the major scale, you start from something called the Harmonic minor scale.
The intervalic pattern of the harmonic minor scale is
W-H-W-W-H-W+H-H
Here there is a step-and-a-half interval, which gives some cool vibes.
Take this scale as that it just exists (don't get into why it exists for now), and build all the chords and modes around it, as we did for the major scale (you can probably also google it). Then you get 7 additional modes, which you can use to compose.

part 15/15

After the harmonic minor, you can start from the melodic minor (google the intervalic pattern) and build its chords and modes, for 7 additional cool new sounds.

Note that some of the chords and modes of harmonic minor and melodic minor can be a bit difficult to pull off.
They are usually used to borrow chords from.

So, some standard progression you can see around is
Am-G-F-E
The first three chords belong to the A minor scale, and you can noodle around the A minor scale in any of the previously described methods, but the E chord doesn't belong to A minor.
When the E chord comes up, technically, you can play any of the scales that contain this chord, like the E major scale for example. But what you wanna do is play a scale that has the fewest notes deviating from A minor, in order to achieve the coolest sound for the listener.
And in this case, E major chord is a part of A harmonic minor, so you're gonna play A harmonic minor when the E chord comes up.
Why this particular scale?
I'm gonna leave that for you to google, but search for dominant chords in music, tension, and the role of harmonic and melodic minor in jazz and in music in general.

But for now, playing in a progression that's in a single key will be a lot easier and will actually sound cool, and you'll be able to jam with pretty much anyone on casual jam sessions.
When you wanna start playing jazz, it's gonna get tricker, because chord changes play a really important part in jazz, and the progressions usually change between multiple keys, but when you get to the point that you want to do that, go subscribe to any of the jazz guitar courses available online.

Hope this helped for now.

How to find a CHEAP room rental in a rural-ish area

I'm going to move to a completely new area many states away. I have about $1200 to keep me going until I find work in said area.

I need to find a CHEAP rental place for at least 6 months; just a tiny room with heat and access to a bathroom will do. It doesn't have to have furniture or be in good condition or anything; wireless internet would be nice but I can make it work without. I essentially just need to keep myself from sleeping outside and dying of hypothermia.

How do I go about finding a CHEAP place like this while still a thousand miles away from where I want to live? I've tried craigslist and it's hard to find any room shares at all in the desired area (very rural, just a few small cities). Those that exist aren't any cheaper than the most basic apartments: $350-400/month at the very lowest. Is this really the lowest price you can get for a bare-bones apartment or even just an empty room? Are there any good sites besides craigslist for finding something cheap and informal like what I want?

25 years old
and already have a weak bladder.
At least thats what I think.

Can't hold it on my way to wark and back
and leaving the bus multiple times to relieve myself.

Already had an accident
and thinking now about buying one of these absorbent granny-pants somewhere.

Doc couldn't find anything, just told me to eat some pumplin-pills,
but that didn't help in any way.

What would be the best way to cope with my problem?

Anyone else having this?

Well like this. Extreme anxiety made it so leaving the house, the moment I had to do a job I immediately had to go to the bathroom. Barely peed. Over and over.
Leaving the house. Could be an anxiety issue, that isn't really noticable, except for thinking you may have to encounter people in public restrooms. I can say I
don't feel like I have to go except when I have to, usually. Clonazepam is long acting. May feel a bit as some call it benzed. You can function on it. If wanted to try, do not use xanax/alazorpam. Use clonazepam or aitavan. On it's own clonazepam treats resteless leg syndrome, and other off label uses.
Best I can say, Have been using ti for a long time. Clonazepam is pretty tame in my opinion. If one doen't abuse these.

I've been working with some friends and guys from other cities for months on some small, non-commercial artsy fartsy short-movie projects and some experimental compilations.

Used cc-licensed music for the most but the best ones use music from more or less known bands.

I know, as soon as I upload these vids youtube will give me another fucking strike.

How can I share them now? How could I upload them without risking a copy-right-strike?

I even took the "legal" route and asked multiple bands and their labels, but NEVER received any answer!

If you want to go anarchy mode you can always shift the tone down.
Even something like half a HZ down that a human couldn't even tell would make it unrecognizable to the automated systems.

Also if they don't respond to mail, if they list a phone number you'd maybe have better luck getting ahold of a response to legal usage.

So does anyone know much about those cryptocurrencies?

I used to buy drugs through the deep web markets and when i've looked back through some of my old btc trading accounts which are now completely empty i've worked out that at todays rates over $70,000 worth of coins passed through my hands...

Any use in investing in some of the newer coins like NMC etc which are relatively cheap?

Or should i focus on LTC or what?

If you have to ask for advice on what to invest in you shouldn't.
People will just tell you what they WANT to be true

The key is to be knowledgeable in the area you're investing in. For example, an IT Person would invest in Crypto or Stock that he thinks will rise because he understands the sector. A Mechanic would invest in car stocks because he understands the market trends and whats important and so forth..

Ripple is a scam, it's not even a cryptocurrency. Its a disgrace that it's listed on any exchange... You do realise that 60% of XRP is held by the creators of it?
They're just in it to make money and slowly sell out - XRP has nothing to do with banks either, you're beeing misled.

See OP? People like these will flock to give you their informed opinions, most of them are flat out brainwashed

How to I break into the world of modeling? Alternatively, porn or stripping? I'm sick of being NEET, but I gotta some way to keep paying for food and martial arts lessons, and I don't want to work to retail. I'm 6'5, fit and lean as fuck, I figure that might help a bit. I heard the first step is doing some nude anatomy modeling for the local community college or something. Do I just go to the art building and ask if they need any anatomy models? Please advise, I need money for kung fu and otaku bullshit.
