best way to sell art online:

  1. paint picture / craft something
  2. spent a few minutes on the internet
  3. realize there are thousand wannabe Artists who sell their stuff on etsy, ebay or facebook
  4. come to the conclusion your art isn't even that special
  5. suck some cock of art-gallery-owners
  6. get lucky and some self-deluded prick might buy your "art"

You'll have a lot of competition online. Depending on where you are, it may be easier to find someone via an art show. Somewhere where if they want it *now* they can impulse buy and feel good about supporting a local artist.

And it doesn't have to be a set gallery. In fact, for your subject material you'd have better luck via somewhere else. Talk to coffee shops, bars and maybe a diner. Preferably close to a college where people who are closer to your target age demographic would be, goes. Hell, maybe even a head shop if you can talk the owner into hanging up trendy art to compliment the glass.

You'd be better off with a "show" too. Where you can put your piece around others that are similar. Either make more to go with it, (Easy if this is a hobby and not actually *to* make money) or find somewhere that already has that style of stuff.

Also, don't expect a huge chunk of change. Depending on the size of that piece (I'm guessing less than 12"x12"?) I'd say $60 or less and you might be able to sell it depending on where you are able to put it up.

Anyhow, good luck.
