I want to sew my own swim diapers.

Or buy material and let them get custom-made somewhere.

What materials should I use?

WHat will be the cost, for buying materials and getting it sewn together?

here is a tutorial for small ones.
I don't know how to upscale this, though.

http://www.sewmamasew.com/2011/06/aquarius-swimmer-swim-diaper-tutorial/

You'll need
  • Nylon/Poly/Spandex-mix (the fabric of Swim-suits)
Or Athletic Wicking Jersey
  • Mesh for the inside
  • maybe a fold-over and polyester thread
(I have no Idea what thats supposed to be)

Since I've never sew myself and have no Idea how to fit the diaper-pattern to adult-size
I hope somebody has an idea.

I have no idea of price for materials and comission,
but send a request to a local tailor.

as much I try, I just can't sew.

Have some friends who sew their Costumes for conventions by themselfes,

but I don't have the balls to ask them if they would sew something like these!

I've contacted maybe 20 tailors, locally and over the Internet.

Some didn't respond, others just stopped answering, while we were discussing price and fabrics

others were greedy arseholes.

I am open for Ideas.

you could sew together
not-reusable swim-diapers.

whatever you do,
don't use neoprene as only component or they will be uncomfortable and useless
and be sure to touch the athletic mesh on the inside first, because this fabric can be very shitty (I would prefer stay dry suede cloth everytime!).

Allways choose thin neoprene over thick one and sew the middle-part from the inside or outside with a part of swim-suit-material!

These are pro-tips the "professional" big brands never seem to get right.
