i got lyrics already but it's only one verse
I recorded one but the vocals came out bad. I'm going to a pro studio because i suck as an audio engineer and my neighbors are always playing steely dan so loud I can't get a good take that isn't in a closed loop

sharp stinging biting singing deep biting singing
sharp stinging biting thrashing deep cuting biting thrashing x 4 rambling

i can't wait to make you feel my edge
penetrate your insides and bring them out
i sharpened it for you AREN'T YOU PROUD?????
let me hear you sing it out loud

tell me how you love my edge
say you want it deep inside x 2

i wish I could provide a melody but the current take is so bad I'm mad at myself
hoping my engineer works some magic

I’m trying to find bands that will suit my current listening preferences. I’m on my annual modest mouse binge at the moment... To get a better idea I’m listening to built to spill, ugly Casanova, Brian Johnston, disco inferno, polvo, slint, the garden, thieves like us, etc.

Im sure this is pretty vague, but I’m looking for bands that have catchy/punchy melodies, interesting lyrics/stories, and a quirk to them..

I remember the music video that goes along with it though, it's like kinda exploring under a blanket in bed and different creases lead to different moments of a persons life.

I like it here but I want somewhere I can talk to people and interact really quickly. Like an online game or chat program or something, but people who play music and smoke weed would be best. I can't fucking figure it out and don't expect you to, but damn it, I'm stuck inside 8 hours a day, and the time I'm free to go around outside (can't explain due to personal reasons I don't want to reveal on an image board filled with junkies) is only at night. I can go to like, a seedy nightclub or something but so far that's cost too much and I want a place that has more people I can play guitar with. Tried bandmix among other things but fucking too slow and again, costs money.

I fucking feel like I'm in prison and don't know a way out.

What do? How can I find other musicians that are OK with smoking marijuana as we play, in

It gives me hope, too, that despite all of this, I can maybe make it through.

Coincidentally, I actually contacted a commercial studio nearby. I'm gonna attempt to record a 12 track album if I can afford it with full mastering, will probably do digital release for free and post here.

The thing is, though, is I need some real players for a live act. I have people I can hire and buddies who can get the sound i want but they don't want to play regularly cause they're busy with their personal lives.

This place is so encouraging and full of SLAYER and music

He is left handed, and a drum snob.

How do you build him the perfect 7 piece set, assuming you are his pimp and he basically has no money because he spends it all on Coors Light, Cuban cigars and prostitutes?

>The Wizard of Woo

Bernie Worrell

Dude was a certified child prodigy genius who was playing Mozart by age 4, leading world orchestras by age 10, graduating top level music schools by 15, and by 17 dropping acid with George Clinton and creating the backbone of everything that is good in music that came after him.

Dude composed/arranged almost EVERYTHING the entire P-Funk umbrella family of bands created, and then went on to work with people from the Talking Heads to Buckethead and Les Claypool and many more.

The man learned to play before he learned to talk and was able to express himself more easily through music than speech. He created an entire language on early analog synthesizers that is still used to create music to this day. Most importantly, he brought light and a force of healing to this world. Yet still he died a poor man.

If you don't know of him get to know who he was. There is a short documentary about him on youtube called "Stranger: Bernie Worrell on Earth"

The first Praxis album "Transmutation" is music gold.

Colonel Claypool's Bucket of Bernie Brains was possibly the greatest supergroup to ever form.

And I mean the motherfucking P-Funk. Listen to "The Mothership Connection" in its entirety and just try to imagine it without the keyboard/synth lines. Even that legendary bass line in "Flashlight" was actually him on the minimoog not bootsy on the bass.

I can't say enough good things about this guy, there may never be a single person who influences the eternal song as much as he did.

Remember when reggae was popular? It pretty much died with Bob Marley, but Steel Pulse's new album drops tomorrow. For those who didn't know, Steel Pulse is the biggest reggae band in the world, and has been in the game for decades. I'm just happy to see someone singing about things that matter for a change, like human trafficking and illegal wars.

Proyecto Crisis are good, don't know if there still around thou.
Funny how different the Chilean scene (in general) is so focused on genres and looking the part while the Argentine scene is literally the opossite.
The band I posted are from Buenos Aires and this is as "industrial" as they look, they don't like labels and some of their stuff is closer to 60s garage or even ahoegaze than ebm. The singer is kinda the local GPO or Mark E. Smith, and last time I talked to them they told me they been banned from most venues because of the volume and "fascist aesthetics" or something.
Yeah, thats how stallioned Buenos Aires is...

Hey, give me some advice here.

Got a friend who thinks he's hot shit been working at it for like...2 years-ish?..I've been advising him here and there on stuff. I'm no rappist but I've been trying to be upfront with him in terms of straight objective badness if I hear it without dashing his dreams too hard when I hear some bullshit.

I guess the point is, is this dude awful or do I keep supporting his creativity? I guess, yes, I should keep trying to help him, but I really have no context for trying to offer opinions at this point outside of "I can't understand you" or generic poetry advice.

I ultimately guess I'm asking for an outside opinion and I trust ya'll to be honest. I don't know if my advice is being clouded by social restrictions or not.

I'm gonna post my bro's soundcloud and a youtube video not out of self advertisement but just for the purpose of getting pure feedback to help me help him improve because honestly i'm like...shit I get these questions everyday and I keep basically saying the same 3 things and I don't listen to rap. so have at it. don't leave any feedback on his pages, just comment here.

Thoughts on the Disco Biscuits, /m/? Here's a little compilation I threw together of some of my favorite guitrar-based jams of theirs. It's all improv; some people love them, some hate them. I'm just a sucker for their slow build-ups, peaks, progressions, etc. They're really not what you expect when you "jam band" due to the trance-fusion elements they fuse in. Obviously this mix might more so than their average jam because as I said, I focused on jams that very guitar-centric.
