Track was insanely bland and boring. Not worth a thread imo.

After waiting for 13 years, I'm not going to spoil 1/7th of the album for myself. Waiting to hear the whole thing at once.

It was tool being tool. It wasn't bad but it was not their best work. It was like a b side to the album before. I never liked alt rock tool but they had a sound for an album or two that was pretty good then they just stopped.

A lot of other bands have done more exciting things in the mean time. Prog is short for progressive. Other bands have repeatedly reinvented themselves released swathes of albums. The melvins did something a bunch of butthole surfers, voivod did 2 great albums even without piggy. Djent came up, got exciting, got stale and went away again. Dillinger escape plan reinvented themselves a second time and ruled the world then retired. Their singer's porn star girlfriend gave up porn for his dick and basically these guys sat around waiting for Maynard to do his side projects. Primus got back together and did some good work, Elder wrote a bunch of 10 minute songs with 3 times as many ideas in. I could go on for a lot longer.

Maybe they'll surprise us with the rest but the bar has been raised in their absence.

not only SOME work but their BEST fucking work

now I love me my Primus but nothing they did back in the day was as good as Primus and the Chocolate Factory or The Desaturating Seven

I dunno, they had a couple good singles but their albums were always really hard to get into. They also have that uppity, "I'm an artist, I am holier than thou" attitude. Plus I've met some of their hardcore fans and it just does the same thing to me. Kinda like the 120lb dude who loves heroin and thinks the Beatles are just the epitome of musical greatness and will just give a passive Frenchmen's wave at any notion that there is something better or that you don't like the Beatles.

Honestly, I'd probably rather listen to the new Korn or Slipknot album and relive my late 90's youth music there.
