Bought a reagent kit online. Everything tested has come up bunk.
Dumb question: what are the odds that the test kit is bad/packaged wrong? Is there some way to tell if the reagents are what they're supposed to be?

Try a different test. I'm guessing everything is likely bunk unless you're buying from a reputable vendor.

try with a known substance. There's a few phamaceuticals that will react with the particular reagent you used. You should have got a list of what reacts and what colour change it is, so pop to a shop and get some benxedrex/whatever reacts in a known way.

I never heard of Elevation Chemicals but now I think I should've gone with Dancesafe. Found a chart online that shows color change with sugar and aspirin. I'll give that a try
